"The four main Star Trek captains could be be exemplified by their primary trait as a Star Trek officer. Kirk was an explorer at heart, Picard was a legendarily skilled ambassador, Sisko was a tactician/strategist, and Janeway was a scientist."

maybe sisko and friends
more like warlord, janeway is much more an enemy general in foreign lands with diminishing resources so I don't say science was very high on her list of achievements to get back to her fucking dog

You need to draw the line between Iron-Bun Janeway and 7/9 Janeway.

Iron-bun is a Starfleet Scientist. Post-bun she is literally crazy.

Move Guinan to mid tier, Pulaski to shit tier, and Neelix to his own shitty tier and then you have a more accurate list.

Move Laforge to a higher tier. His listening skills and sensitivety are so moving to watch. I feel like he really cares for Data

in the episode where data undergoes a trial for his rights, they acknowledge they are best friends. i agree he should be a couple tiers higher. same level as worf

I don't think I've ever seen Laforge be rude to any other crew members either. He is probably the nicest dude in the whole series and I would love to chill with him

Here's my changes to that:

>Spit DS9 Worf to God Teir and TNG Worf to Shit Tier. Because one had real character development while the other was annoying side character.

>Move Archer, Trip, Dr.Crusher. Guidan and Chakotay to mid teir
>Move worthless whiny bitch. Kim and Mayweather and Tar to low tier
>Move Kes and Neelix to shit tier
>Move Janeway to High Tier.

I am glad to see the doctor is on bald tier. I'm on my first watch of VOY and his storyline in Heroes and Demons was gold plated Latinum

some episode geordi and wesley are yelling at each other
wesley tells him something like "at least I don't have to get my girls from the holodeck"
he also tried to get broccoli transferred off without trying to be his friend.
he just hides all of his rage behind that visor.

The who crew were pretty mean to Barclay. I really hate episodes with him in it just because seeing the other crew act so strange around him is weird.

I feel that they had wanted to make a savant creeper engineer for awhile, and the whole holodeck engineer gf episode with van Braum was their attempt to do that. They're is another episode that's basically the same thing, but its Barclay fantasizing about banging every girl on the ship and kinds of ends up being a better episode, even if that sequence of them navigating the enterprise out of the asteroid field makes up for the cringe of the test of the episode.

Wesley was Gene's attempt to shoehorn himself into the series, but Barclay was them shoehorning your average /1701/ anxiety-riddled-holographic-coworker-banging creepazoid into the series.

the fuck are you talking about dude? worf had a lot of meaningful episodes. his trial of pain in the holodeck, his one night stand with the half klingon woman who refused to marry him despite it being a sacred klingon tradition which he has to come to terms with ("i will not be complete without you"), the choice to give his blood to save the life of a romulan, which he refuses because romulans murdered his parents, causing the romulan to actually fucking die which picard then has to explain to the pissed off rom captain, the episode where he forms "the bonding" with an orphan boy whose mother died on an away team to bring their families together (also worf was in charge of the mission and they show him alone in his quarters with a knife, indicating he was so guilty he contemplated suicide), i mean a couple of those moments actually brought a tear to my eyes dude. and look at his growth from when he and riker first do his "calisthenics" fighting program, he is so filled with bloodlust he is about to attack his superior officer (AT EASE, LIEUTENANT!!!) a phrase he repeats quietly to himself on later occasions when he is close to losing his temper, indicating he sees riker as a role model (also when riker got the wargame challenge to fight the enterprise, worf immediately asked to go with him. when riker got offered captainship, worf immediately asked to be his first officer.) to later episodes where he calmly discusses with fellow klingons or semi-hostiles in a manner of reason rather than just klingon rage, sometimes justifying his affiliation with starfleet. probably many other occasions i am forgetting. worf is a wonderful character, just gotta get past the silly forehead.

>you just gotta get past the silly forehead and being beaten up by the monster of the week every week

You left a bit out. Though when he gets to DS9 he's leveled up enough that he can beat almost everyone up. Guess he's learned that from Riker too.

He still acts like a manchild over Dax while being an enormous hypocrite but he even gets over that.
Ambassador Soval - Fri, 08 Sep 2017 14:11:50 EST ID:zQ+XXy3R No.60847 Ignore Report Quick Reply

Pretty much this.

TNG Worf did had some good character progression but compare it to DS9 Worf, he was a total bro. I always hated Worf-centric episodes of TNG because most of of them comes off as whiney. Given time when I go back and rewatch a lot of stuff, I might change my mind.

Let's not say DS9 Worf was perfect, him being a religious fundamentalist terrorist on Risa made me want to hate Worf again.

Yeah, I actually feel like Worf's character arc was one of the best over the course of the two shows. He had some real formative experiences and growth and he had a really interesting balancing act to do with his position as a Star fleet officer and a Klingon Noble. He's one of my favorite characters of all time.
Subcommander T'Rul - Sun, 10 Sep 2017 22:40:22 EST ID:e5feiTTX No.60874 Ignore Report Quick Reply

He doesn't level up, he just doesn't fight monsters any more. It's well established that Worf is the most powerful Klingon in the universe, even in TNG (killing Duras, winning that Batleth tournament), and he spends all his time on DS9 fighting other Klingons (who get their shit handed to them 2 at a time by a 90 pound Kira with a knife stuck in her back) and Jem Hadar

>his character devlopment was bad because he didnt beat up the monsters

what are you, 5? how about geordi, he lost pretty much every fight he was in, does that make him a shitty character? data must be your favorite, not because of the ethical and philosophical ponderings he presents, but because hes SOOPER STRONG

I'm pretty sure Data is your favourite character because he also does not get humour.
