If she isn't working for Section 31 I'll eat your disgusting trillby.

Sure, why not? If the main character can be Spock's secret stepsister, the ship can go to warp with mushrooms, the captain can be from the Mirror Universe, the first officer can be from a race that wasn't seen or heard of before or since this ship, the head of security can be an undercover Klingon, and the chief engineer can infuse himself with alien bug DNA and plug himself into the ship to make it go, then it's almost to be expected that something is up with her too. The Discovery's crew was handpicked by Admiral Shyamalan, no doubt.

Dang apart from the Spock's sister thing, that is a really weird list of complaints.

But yeah, they mention the black badges right before she's introduced and then never bring it up again. That could be foreshadowing.
She's also an apparent goof who seems out of place on the NCC-1031 (literally NCC-ten-*thirty-one*), who just happens to get billeted with Michael. It's possible it's all a disarming act to get close to her.
In the last episode she did what could be interpreted as a pro job of information gathering while pretending to be a goof, in fact despite appearances she never really screws anything up, and her mirror universe counterpart seems to have been super competent also.

And then in that final scene she's literally winking at the audience. A really strange, awkward wink.

He does have a point about the weakness of starfleet's background checks.

Actually though if the whole ship was put in place by section 31 that'd make more sense. She's there to keep tabs and be the sane person. She comes across goofy but has an immaculate record no doubt. Everyone think she's sweet but the audience knows she's competent. She's like a reverse Neelix with his informed competence. Of course its likely this show has been meddled to pieces and maybe she's just supposed to be giddy but capable of focusing when she needs to. Someone has to be a proper typical starfleet officer in a star trek surely?

Yeah. Definitely S31.

>Dang apart from the Spock's sister thing, that is a really weird list of complaints.

I don't see the complaints. You do know that those are actual facts about the officers on the Discovery, right? So yeah, if every other main character and the ship itself has already had some secret revealed and/or done something bizarre, it makes sense that she would too. This is absolutely the Star Trek M. Night would make

God it's so incredibly obvious from the top-down that those nacelles are artificially long just to buff them up in the three quarters view.

>Tilly to transporter room
Yes?
>Um... this is really embarassing but I overslept and the saucer is spinning again and it's really fucking uncool. I can't get to my post can you help?
This is ensign Pulaski and have you even considered the implications of transportering to work? Is that even the same you? What if you're killing yourself twice a day?
>By the time this ship stops spinning I'll be 2 minutes and 30 seconds late to work. Then how will I ever become a captain?
I just thought you should consider the implications before you wantonly disregard your ultimate existensial quandry. How could you be so careless?
>Point to point transport, Tilly to bridge
Don't you work in the science lab?
>Energize

>Captain Saru, ensign Pulaski is unfit to work in the transporter room
I have received... [click] multiple complaints.
>Can we stop the spinning anytime soon?
There has been a complication in that area. [click] AshVoq saw a picture of a Targ and ate the remote. Ensign Pulaski will be [click] ...reassigned... to Starfleet medical, on Earth. [threat ganglia flex and retract, but nobody bothered to animate it. So they don't.]

Plot twist: some fucking vulcan supercomputer is pulling the strings on all of Starfleet, manipulating things so the bright future of TOS/TNG will come to pass in the first place. They knew Lorca was from the mirror universe but he was convenient for the master plan, and that's why doing something WILDLY IRRESPONSIBLE like putting Mirror Georgiou in charge was acceptable. Burnham herself was educated according to a design and conditioned for her future role as a catalytic asshole; the Expeditionary Group was never in the cards. None of these bumbling idiots knows what they're a part of, but everything is connected.

The big twist will be that STD is just a story being written by Jenny Russell, Benny Russell's granddaughter and a dead-ringer for Michael Burnham except for her glasses.

I am waiting for them to time travel the casts of TNG, DS9, and why not ENT for shits and giggles into STD and then have them all fight the Borg...who also time traveled and are now in league with the Klingons who now have ring nipples.

Did they add that annoying acne-looking mole thing on her forehead onto Tilly or remove it for Killy?

They added it because they wanted to make her look less pretty early on when you're getting to know her, which would make the whole kIlly transformation a little more intense when you realize suddenly she's kinda hot. But they made the mistake of showing some butt shots early.

I wonder if that Geordi visor she's wearing around her neck is to let her see if someone is sneaking up behind her with a knife
