i'm pretty sure that all the items you buy from the store are either character or account bound; the store only sells things like mounts, appearance modifications, things that help you level ie +50% exp, and housing. purely aesthetic things can be bought in the in game store; the best items are still really rare drops or attained from abyss points/pvp

The management for this server is so fucking gay. It's like a bad WoW p server, with established distance between staff that should be invisible and players. That kind of environment breeds faggots. RS has always been shit it's just that the grass really is greener on the other side. I was going to play, but I'm not anymore. Forgot about this shit half a year ago when they said the beta would be coming soon. Dgaf meng. Dgaf.

MMO design is years behind other genres, even FPS games, mmo games are the only games where it's considered standard to be bored until you pump at least a month in to level your character. That is bullshit, leveling should be dynamic and level cap shouldn't end any reason to go back into the world and only sit in a city queuing up for instanced dungeons all day long.

This is why swtor and rift aren't doing as well and why people are pumped for GW2 since they seem to understand this. WoW is getting away with it still only because it's wow and it's too big to fail at this point. At least not anytime soon.

I started playing WoW because it was better then Everquests huge time sinks at the time. Many people said EQ was challenging, and it was..to a degree.

The majority of the time after finding a solid group was spent grinding out mobs over and over in the same spot. They introduced dungeons but they were also insanely repetitive.

I played WoW from vanilla all the way up until Firelands. I played through and beat firelands killing rag on heroic and just had enough. Everything by that time was a rehash of a rehash of a rehash. The community itself was becoming offensive and rather vulgar. Granted I was on a PVP server but man..I'm talking meme spouting fucktards..but I digress..

WoW really turned me on because of the somewhat reactive combat..you hit someone in EQ and they just react to the hit eventually..you hit someone with your sword or w/e in WoW and they react as soon as you hit them (animation wise) it was irked me that the actual combat of EQ wasn't really intuitive or amazing.
