I came over to this board and I had to chuckle at this thread.

Why are MMO players so avidly against each other? Seriously I used to play WoW a few months ago..yeah it's changed..yeah I stopped playing..yeah I'm playing SW:TOR...yeah I like penis...but that doesn't mean that WoW is instantly shit to me.

I mean granted it's nothing like it used to be when it first came out but neither will SW:TOR in a couple years.

I'd like to add that your example actually does include healers pretty much the same as DPS. HPS for healers is pretty much exactly what you need to know about your healers. If you're just going off if people are dead or not then your healers could actually be slacking and you wouldn't know what was wiping you when you fail and your dps and tanks are working at their best,

I played it for about 3 days. That's not to say I decided to say 'it's not what I remember!' or 'fuck this game'. Just haven't had time to play.

The leveling makes it feel like a completely different game. You actually take and do quests. The quests give you ridiculous amounts of xp (2nd class change took me from lv38 0.8% to lv41 31% and only took about 10 minutes). First & second class change quests are different. Making money is stupid easy (I had 3m by lv30). Quests give you gear, as does the path to awakening from the web site. You'll have crazy amounts of sp, I'm talking you'll have enough for skills for the skill levels - also you can learn skills from your skill window. Took me about 1.5hr to get lv20, another 1.5hr to get lv40.

As a Hawkeye I was soloing 2-3x hp mobs in Garden of Eva for 12-14k xp, killing them in 3-6 shots with newbie buffs (you get them lv1-75), 1-4 shots with Prophet buffs including pof. Friend of mine was getting even more xp in Antharas Lair, soloing, and just destroying mobs there. Another friend turned in a daily quest at lv66 and got 20% xp from it, and all she had to do was talk to someone to turn it in.

In short, I fucking love the game and am happy/surprised with the amount of people actively playing (you still see bots in xp areas). I started from lv1 just to see how different the game was and will probably switch over to a friend's BH subbed HE so I can start from there.

After hours of downloading, I try to login and it seems im in the middle of the weekly maintainance.

Anyone know if It will be OK to play on US server if I'm from EU?
I just realised there's a separate version for eu, and it would suck to have to download again...

I also used to be top dps, my gear wasnt the best, never got tier until most others had the whole set. Our guild rule was no gear until youve done a run, anarchy ended up dropping on my first one. They used epgp which distrubed the gear more evenly, although the leader still got it easily.
But hunters pissed me off, rolling on my fucking daggers but when i roll on a bow they cry. Also druids changing from boomkin to feral, then changed back when the other spec gets nerfed and theyve stole all my loot.

I know, it's pretty annoying when boomkings roll on cloth caster gear and then respec. Rogues should always get priority on melee weapons and hunters should always get it on bows, that would be pretty irritating to deal with.

This one time, in TOC, I lost the heroic caster DPS trinket to a warlock who topped out at 3k dps and died on every single fight.

Also, this other time, I was doing FL 10 with a guild that a few friends of mine from Awakening on rift Seastone formed, and the MT who we just recruited didn't win his item, bitched about it, and logged. And then 4 people quit wow on the spot because they "didnt want to put up with this shit".
