Anyway I stopped playing it some time ago, but not because of the new content. I just got tired of the relentless grinding you need to do for everything. I was tired of spending weeks killing monsters or running an instance just to get that one item that will help me with my next set of grinding.

All in all, the people that are saying the new stuff is bad are just people who were happier with Vanilla WoW. Their opinion is no more valid than anyone else's, so it comes down to what you enjoy.

I know wow hasn't been the most serious game but they're introducing farming, and mini-games now? OP don't play retail wow, it's nothing like how it used to be, play on a vanilla or TBC private server and have the full experience.

Haters gon' hate. I like the game. I play it quite a bit, but then again I'm into Star Trek. It's pretty awesome, I have high level characters in both KDF and Starfleet. The first time I played this game was way back when the demo came out, and later I bought a three month playtime card every now and again when I had extra money. I'd say that since the switch to FTP it is greatly improved from before.

The graphics are superb compared to the last time I played sometime before they first announced the possibility of FTP (whenever that was I don't remember). The gameplay is far superior to what it was the last time I played. Shooting in the ground missions in particular has been improved. I didn't like the ground missions, but now they're some of my favorite. The objectives could stand some improvement though. I'm not a big fan of all the repetition, but the newer episodes released seem a lot more storyline driven rather than trying for that "boring technobabble" feel of Trek. Ship combat is... More or less the same. If something has changed I haven't noticed. I like the space combat, but it may not be your taste. The physics are a bit off and the corkscrewing is a somewhat unacceptable oversight in my opinion.

I've been playing for a few days. Shit is awesome. The space battle is crazy and I like the ground controls too. If you are into Trek you will love this shit.

I've been playing since January...got a Gunslinger to level 50 on Hedarr Soongh, and that server is fucking dead. Ilum is empty, and there are never any ops groups. It was usually "light" population.

Since then I re-rolled on Infinite Empire (the most populated west coast PvP server), and it's a whole different game. There are always people on the fleet, and even on every planet. We're talking between 50 and 100 on the Republic fleet depending on time of night.

AM on the trial have a level 10 sith inquistor of twilek origins. Seems pretty chill atm, dno if I would buy it, just pretty fun . The graphics arent great but I like the spells and theme and stuff.. is there much to do in the way of pvp?

If you're on a PvP server, then all planets after the first couple starting planets are "contested territory", with a few exceptions like faction bases and what not. In these areas, you can fight any player of the opposing faction. There aren't any rewards for this type of PvP (at the moment, anyway), it's just for fun.

Other than that, even on PvE servers, there are Warzones, which are PvP instances that anyone can queue up for starting at level 10. This is where you can get Valor points (needed for high end PvP gear), commendations and a good amount of money and XP.

There is also an open PvP arena on Tatooine, in which anyone can attack anyone, regardless of faction. The only exception are people in your party or guild.

And finally, there's Ilum, the endgame PvP planet. It's an endless back and forth objective fight, and a good source of commendations for endgame PvP gear.

Leveling is so fast that if you let someone else recruit you, you can make level 80 in 1.5 days play time. I dualboxed a pair of toons with RAF to lvl 70 in 16 hours.
