I'm a new fan of H. P. Lovecraft and have read some of his stuff and are looking for more comics inspired by his universe.
Recently read The Courtyard by Alan Moore which I enjoyed a lot.

The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath comic by Jason Thompson is underrated and wrongfully obscure.

Looking for good cyberpunk comics by Jack Gullymon - Sat, 23 Sep 2017 04:44:33 EST ID:9nz6oFDL No.43348 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

I'd like a book with a good cyberpunk setting, Transmetropolitin and THB are the only two that pop into my head. A more neuromancer/Shadowrun vibe would be ideal but I'm seriously open to all suggestions, even manga if it's not too goofy.

>Every Marvel Hero is now a woman, wtf?

This liberal SJW agenda must end.
If women want good superheroes they need to create literature that women would like to read. They need to stop hijacking male media as this is nonsense.

Iron man is female
Wolverine is female
Thor is female
Captain USA is female
Everyone is now fucking female - what the absolute fuck.

No wonder Marvel is at its lowest sales point on record in over 40 years.

I feel this has been said but sometimes it works, Miles and going back real far to She-Hulk but that's not deny that it's terribly forced sometimes like Riri Williams. From what I've heard B.S. for Jane Thor, Captain U.S.A. actually is a garbage liberal dumpster fire in it's most concentrated form, I'll give you that one.

Laura actually is perfect to be Wolverine but whoever is writing for her right now is shitting the bed so hard. She's suffered from the change. Here's the thing though I don't think race is the biggest issue, it's the general vibe of everything and how fucking happy everyone is. The edge and grit is all gone for the most part. Everyone in their promotional material is having a good time. It has worked for some, people love Gwen Stacy and the new Ms Marvel.

All I can focus on is what I read which is Wolverine stuff and ya it's fucking weak right now. Laura has a teen sidekick who talks with a vocabulary way beyond her years and she's a pop culture reference powerhouse! ... I actually didn't hate he when she first joined but shes been getting worse and worse. The fucking WOLVERINE! has some sort of no kill rule. Exciting stuff, use the one mainstream hero that can let loose and blur the lines between hero and villain and you just made her another girl scout. So ya for me, it's more the vibes than race and gender. Marvel is currently fucking up either way. Way to positive in times that REALLY don't reflect that. Little Spanish Laura was more hardcore than she's been in the comics for years.

Gabby rules, same for the writer (he's the guy who does Injustice for DC, the book where Joker kills Lois Lane so Superman goes full evil Demigod of Earth). Also just started X-Men Red, which also has Laura and Gabby. My only complaint for Gabby is the hero code name of Honey Badger.

RIP old thread.

So, the theory to Alpha's identity was wrong, but that was a pretty good issue. I especially liked one of the entries in the Letter Hacks.

So, that was some drama for nothing with with Gregory (probably?).
That was some pretty crazy shit with the Whisperers... Did Dante say... THOUSANDS? There's no way. No fucking way.
Did anyone else assume Lydia is a liar and manipulator?
They call their leader Alpha, their leader makes her own daughter call her Alpha, maybe rape is a common thing there, and Alpha is fucking nuts and just lets her daughter get raped because if she isn't good enough to get them off her back, she's just too beta?
That ending page with Carl was awesome and him going on an epic quest is also fucking awesome.

Where the fuck is Michonne?
Question for those who have seen issue 141's cover: Does Carl go free Negan for help on this journey?

What's up /vr/etards? I'm making a slice of life sprite comic.

I'm looking for an 8bit background that is basically the spritesheet/map of the inside of a house in a 2d sidescroller which is hard to find, (as opposed to a spritesheet/map of the inside of a house in a top-down video game which is easy enough to find).

At first I thought Zelda 2, but that looks like crap, and then I thought River City Ransom has to have some good "inside of a house" maps, but the closest thing to it, "inside a school."

Double Dragon III is almost good, with "inside a dojo" map, but I'm looking for an 8-bit "inside a normal western house" map, with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.

Any ideas, fam?

Why do Comics need Ads in them?

Why do so many comics come without ads
while others are riddled with huge distracting, full-page-ads, in the middle of the comics!

...and people asky why cleaned comic-scans exist!

Worst thing is, you can't see if there are ads in the comic-books, since most are sold sealed nowadays!

From memory, a few issues of Hulk when Dale Keown was art jolly african-american.
I just undid the staples and removed the ads. I don't care if it reduced the value, that shit was retarded.
What was worse was Strikeback, the old Kevin Maguire creator-owned book, which in its original run was printed one page forward because of ads, wrecking several double page splash panels and a few fancy page layouts.
The second printing from another company actually advertised itself with the tagline "This time we're doing it right!" lol.
Or there's those two pages from Tank Girl's second series that are always out of order. Never been fixed, even when they went back and coloured the fuckers.
Or Marshall Law: Cape Fear, which had the speaks bubbles from one page appear on the wrong page. Even in the TP, you'd think someone would fix that in the collection, don't you?
Fucking editors, you start to see why they make such poor decisions as regards talent and continuity? Because they don't read their own cunting books.
Now guys like Archie Goodwin, Julie Schwartz, Cat Yronwode, Ann Nocenti, they would have caught shit like that before it went to press, let alone REPRINTS, because they were pros. Now we got fanboys who sucked a lot of dicks running the show and arsing it all up.
Hell, Blaire Wentworth would have caught it, and she wasn't even real!
