Applauds! Marvel is now 2x times more worse then DC before rebooting their whole universe.
Iron-Man and X-men are fully raped by Brian Michael Bendis (the straight Ice-Man is now a faggot, and Iron-Man is fully fucked up)
Spider-Man is still getting raped by Dan Slott
Way to many SJW+LGBT propoganda, the stories are getting more and more disgusting...

the Swamp Thing creator and co-creator of Wolverine has passed away. RIP a legend, I read every issue of his Swamp Thing run (I've read every run fo Swamp Thing actually) and Wein's original tales were great campy cosmic horror fun.

Nota Bene: at least half of what makes Swampy so good was introduced by Moore. Wein's OG concept was a lot more bog-standard. Not to poo-poo it, he still created the base tone & the supporting cast. And some issues are genuinely great, like #10. Chilling, gripping stuff. You might say Moore owes his career to the atmosphere he replicated from that original run, which by proxy would make it responsible for the comic industry's entire development into serious stories & mature themes.
BTW he only did 13 issues, and the writer that picked off at 14 isn't nearly as good. Basically if you feel bored or underwhelmed at any point skip to Moore's run. Maybe a little before Moore's run (#16-19 instead of 20) for context & sweet art. For a Wein-written Swamp with Moore-continuity, see the aforementioned Swamp Thing miniseries he wrote recently.

Should probably add that the #13-14 Len Wein & his successor did is an entirely different comic run to the #16-20 ore & Bissette did. The former's Swamp Thing, from the 70s. The latter's Saga of the Swamp Thing a decade later in the 80s. Although if you were gonna read compilations like "Swamp Thing by Alan Moore" that details' irrelevant, they do it for you.

Matt returned for the 80s run, fell into a coma, and upon flat-lining was recruited to be Dream's Raven in Sandman.

I guess it was less wrapping up loose ends and more Len Wein's creating a New 52 version of Cable, one who is still basically an abusive drunk. He convinces Alec he has changed and that he wants to become the new Swamp Thing, saying he'll trade situations with Alec and Alec will get to go back to a human body while Cable runs the Green. Alec agrees, and betrayal happens soon after that. I forget how it ends but Alec gets his Swamp Thing body back somehow.

I've only read Vote Loki & Longshot Saves The Marvel Universe, but enjoyed both. GWEN is judt as good at continuity & metawank as them but has them beat in terms of characters & story, seeing as it's an open-ended ongoing with an original cast & concept instead of a mini.
Also the art's beetus AF.

I'd have to know more about each character but appearance-wise there are some similarities. Some combo's like tanned/dark skin blonde hair contrast nicely and look good based on general appeal without the benefit of inspiration from another fictional source.

Marvel's X-23 closely resembles Fathom's Aspen. Whether she was "inspired" or not is hard to say, 30-40 years apart as they are, but then again there isn't that much room for customization on base human palettes unless you go nuts with the hair dye and body mods.

I don't really care if it's Eddie, Lee, Flash, Mac, whoever... The symbiote is the real start of the show now IMO. I've been enjoying the series (praised the first issue, lost some steam but still pretty good). The one thing I don't get is Eddie Brock's morality... Maybe they explain it in the upcoming issue, am I wrong or is Eddie not the type to merc a government security type in cold blood to get the symbiote back?... Also doesn't Eddie hate "Venom"? I know a lot of stuff has happened over the years but I thought he was more happy about the Anti Venom situation than the original suit.

I liked Shiver as a kid. Venom literally rapes someone, well...the symbiote rapes someone. And Idk if it's even the same symbiote as "venom" anyway but still. Fucking hardcore. Happens off panel too though. But what can you expect? It's marvel. Anyway shiver is basically The Thing, but with Venom. It starts bonding with people, controlling them/making them mad with power, and then using them up so fast they die and it needs a new host. It pairs with "Run", where Venom fuses with wolverine, the only one who can survive as a host because he heals as fast as venom feeds on him.

Scratch that, just noticed Thanos Quest.
It's short, fun and accessible, which is why it gets recommended on its own as a self-contained mind-trip, but it's slap bang in the middle of an epic some 30 years long so you miss out on a lot of context that would make it even better.
As an introduction to the character himself, it cannot be topped. He's been tempered by those first 15 years of experience and not yet condensed by the following 15, striking the perfect balance of complexity & penetrability. But if you have the time, and want to know the WHOLE story, maybe try out his first two arcs first (Quest is the introduction to his 3rd).
Both were published in the 70s. There was his feud with Mar-Vell, and shortly after that his tussle with Adam Warlock. Both storylines featured the Avengers heavily and had issues scattered all over the place, but Marvel compiled it all into "Captain Marvel by Jim Starlin" and "Warlock by Jim Starlin" if you can find them. Alternatively there's an "Avengers vs Thanos" TPB which condenses both into ~1000 pages. It skips some of the Marv/Adam context but includes every issue Thanos appeared in, including one or two that Marv & Adam didn't.

You know what? Read Thanos Quest. If you like it and want to know what happens next, read the classic stuff first. It'll give you all the backstory for what you just read and all the context you need for what follows. Plus Quest's short enough that if you wanted you could read it again with that new context in mind before starting on Infinity Gauntlet.

90% sure it's an issue Warlock & The Infinity Watch. The monthly comic that spun out of Infinity Gauntlet. Likely one of the tie-in issues to Infinity Gauntlet's sequel, Infinity War.
Nota Bene: Infinity Gauntlet marked a big turning point for Marvel as a company & as a setting. Too much continuity, too little freedom, too many investors etc. meant something had to change. Some even claim Gauntlet itself is a story about the death of old-school Marvel. Point being, the period that pic's from is a whole 'nother animal from the period everything I splurged about in the last post is from. After Gauntlet there's Watch, then War, then Crusade, then Abyss, then Revelation/Relativity/Entity/Finale, plus the Malibu Comics crossover, plus Marvel The End, plus Thanos' 12 issue ongoing, plus the whole Marvel Cosmic renaissance... Things get complex, impenetrable, and unfortunately a lot less meaningful. Starlin even wrote in a "Thanos made clones" subplot to explain why other writers kept ignoring his character development. So if you're interested, adjust your expectations.

No idea what comic you want but it makes me think Mark Millar. Wanted, maybe?
