How long does it take for benzodiazepine withdrawal to begin? I know etizolam is a newer benzo type drug so this is a general question for any benzo. I have been using etizolam 2mg once a day in 15 day runs. 15 days on, 15 days off. I have done this 3 times. After 3 times I might be feeling withdrawal but can't be certain because of overlapping things happening in my life right now. Thanks.

It varies a little but for me with etizolam it hit a few hours after my missed dose. The next day I'd be in full withdrawal

Depends on half life and how quickly your body metabolizes it. I was on Ativan with a short half life and hit full withdrawal on day 6. People on valium or klonipin can take 2-3 weeks! Read this.... http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php

For some reason, benzo WD hasn't ever hit me like opi WD.

I've been fucking with etiz only again, probably 1-3mg per day average with off days.

I thought I was sick from something else, then realized I hadn't had any Benzos in 3.5 days.

It was mostly pseudo nausea and anxiety (I had lots of thebaine unfortunately, and it made it all worse.

Just remember that while etiz is more forgiving in dependency building, an etiz addiction feels like a fent addiction because it's so short acting. At my worst I was popping a 1.2mg pill every 2 hours or so.

Consider tapering with a longer lasting benzo.

>I have been using etizolam 2mg once a day in 15 day runs.

I really try to be as informational as possible from a harm prevention view point but damn man, did you even read up on this drug before taking it?

Hypothetically (it will obviously differ between individuals/the duration of time/ drug taken), you are well past the time line of expected wds, whether minor (I'd assume that's more likely but not a doc), or minor.

Benzo wd is highly dependant on halflife and metabolism, should be relatively short for etiz. 1~3 days.

I'm not going to lecture or tell you what to do, but man that dosage (although yeah I know it's not crazy by any means) is a real dosage that tends to be monitored by a Psych with the expectation of a taper. 45 days of taking (despite being non-consecutive) isn't something to play around with.

Plus etizolam is neither new nor a benzodiazepine.

This, and nice to see you Mario
