Took benzos, passed out outside of a concert.

I was picked up by police with nothing on me.

They brought me to the station to warm me up and took me to a hospital.

I received no charges.

Do I have a criminal record? Will it show in a background check?

Sorry, need help. Also talked to /law/ but that board is a corpse.

I think you need to provide significantly more information, particularly location, for anyone, let alone residents of the sedative board, to give you a proper response.

With your location being integral, I think they'd need you to, elaborate on what happened at the station, did the cops file an incidence report, did you admit to being on narcotics, I mean for them to have done this in my country, my understanding is they'd have to process you in some way. So your story is strange to me.

I assume you're 18+

In some countries a criminal record is comprised of any charges you've received, outstanding warrants, and non expunged offences.

Some countries only include convictions, some include traffic offenses, some base off arrests, charges ( even those that have been dismissed), and any information relevant to police.

All of this depends on your location, including what information a prospective employer can obtain, and what levels of checks they perform (in mine it can differ). Without knowing that, it is impossible to respond accurately.

I gurantee if you post on /law/ covering those bases you'll get a more informed response than here

USA.

Hospital confirmed presence of benzos.

Was diagnosed with anxiety issues and recommended to therapy.

Also received no fine, no paperwork towards a misdemeanor/felony. Since I was on private property (in parking lot), no chance of public intoxication either.

So the hospital confirms that you were on benzos, but they have not reported this to police or put it on your medical record? Am I getting this right here?

If anything, it seems like this would be more on your medical than criminal record.

I think you're in the clear man. It'll definitely be in the hospital's records though.
