So I just got my beard waxed. It was fucking twisted and extremely painful. I got my beard waxed as a temporary alternative to shaving electro and laser. I want to see as a test how it works out over the next few months. The waxer said I should come back in about a month.

So over the next few weeks I will post status updates on how its going and to find out once and for all if waxing is a feasible method of mtf hair removal.

PS it's fucking painful as fuck!!!!

Oh yeah I guess I should elaborate on the experience:

So I set the appointment yesterday. But I came in like two months ago to get a test strip done. First off the test strip did not prepare for any of what happened today.

It took thirty minutes to wax my whole beard and it was intense. But I pushed through and my skin is going to look good. Of course after waxing any body part you have to take a lot of care to not get in grown hairs.

Note do not try to wax your beard at home. It wont work and you'll fuck it up.

I can say that the most painful part was the moustache, it felt like she sliced my upper lip with a razor blade. Not fucking fun. The rest of the face felt like she was tearing my skin off with her bare hands. Then she had tweeze all of the left over hairs that couldn't be picked up with the second round of waxing, which didn't hurt compared to the initial strips.

Why would I put myself through this? Because beauty is pain. Also my beard won't grow back for about a month and will come back thinner. Also the more you wax the less painful it is.

Don't you need to grow your hairs out to a certain length in order to have them waxed? Sounds like it might be a problem for passing if you're at that stage of transition.

If you are getting electrolysis, waxing is a terrible idea.

sometimes you gotta suffer minor setbacks to have a better advantage in the long-run

Part time + a binder. Also having a five o'clock shadow doesn't help passing anyway.

It will take a long long time for the waxing to reduce the hair relative to laser etc. and you'll be spending a week or two every month with visibly long facial hair (because of having to grow it out for waxing) for all that time.

I recommend you stop using a binder; it's not good for your breasts.

Hey it's OP here. I've been thinking about getting an epilator does anyone have any experience with them?

Regarding my my facial hair it is still pretty unnoticible and I can report no ingrown hairs or skin damage.

There are products to help prevent ingrown hairs. Also I've been washing my face with a good cleanser. When you first get waxed you're also supposed to use Neosporin to prevent irritation.

Well after a week and a couple of days my facial hair is fully noticeable again. It likely won't be long enough to wax for a few days. But unlike shaving my hair isnt noticeable within a few hours.
