Thank you. I just made the decision officially to transition earlier today, after over a year of struggling with knowing, but fearing the potential fall out. But my therapist helped me say it today, and I already feel so much better.

Then to move over from the drug boards for the first time in forever, and I see this thread? Thanks for helping make my day even better. <3

They can only genocide transgender off the face of the Earth once. After that, they live with their shame and we live forever.

For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

After 25 years I've finally come to accept what I am and that this trans itchy is my true self. I've been lonely all my life, never thought about the reflection in the mirror as a reflection of myself. It pains me deeply when I see some cute dress and know that it will never look good on me. I never liked men, nor women but I am "straight" by default. I always loved the person. I've been married for three years with the woman of my life. We will celebrate three years of marriage 22th this month and I am lost in drugs, dead inside, master of lies and pretending.

Just kill me already.

I started to transition around the age of 26 / 27 and I am fearing that I might not pass although I don't think I would end up a total hon.

If you end up a hon, would it preferable to just pass as a man?

I was questioning if it would just make sense to pass as what most people would define as an "ugly woman". I've literally gone gender blind since I honestly cannot tell the difference anymore between a cisgender and a transgender woman. It seems like some cisgender women could be transgender and some women who you think could be transgender end up cisgender. This also has me rethinking just what the fuck "hon" is because I cannot see what unpassing might be anymore. Because it seems like if you don't pass by the standards of this board, /lgbt/, /lgbt/'s numerous general threads, or any transgender sub-circlejerk then you're really just passing as an ugly cisgendered woman.

i dont know what kind of person people call hons anymore, but a hon to me is someone who overemphasises a stereotypical female persona because thats what they think women are.

For example, if you think women call each other hon all the time, you begin saying hon all the time to other women, ie emulating what you think women do rather than being yourself ie. a woman. thats what a hon is.

There are unpassable trans people, go to a support group, go to any community meet up and you will find them.

Fuck passing in pictures, pass in real life. pictures are easy to pass in, just do your makeup amazingly, get good light (seriously during the hour the sun is setting will make you look amazing), make sure your hair is good, smiling, camera at a decent angle, take loads of photos and boom you can now post that picture to circlejerk lgbt wherever you want and you pass.

But you arent always going to have the pefect lighting, your hair isnt always going to be perfect, you cant wear a full face of makeup every day, Passing in real life is different to passing to people on the internet because its so much easier, people on the internet ie here and places already mentioned are looking for transwomen and so they see transwomen. People in real life dont give two fucks about you unless you stand out like a sore thumb but even then its 2017 you could have a beard and some people would still call you she and her because if they dont they think they will have an angry mob demanding they get fired for being literally hitler.

One thing I noticed both from here and on /lgbt/ is that it seems like everyone has a different definition of passing. To me I took passing to me that people see you for who you are without doing that much effort, but from what I've seen with amazing makeup work it seems like anyone could pass in the public's eye. Your definition of a hon makes sense to me. There is an older woman on the bus that I see often times that I sometimes question if they are trans, but it doesn't feel right making that assumption since I've seen older cis women look old and wrinkly. Like for example, for whatever reason, I think Patricia Davis passes for a woman her age. I still sometimes think of Benjamin Franklin, but she looks like a more feminine version of Benjamin Franklin to me. Even someone like Christine Chandler could sometimes look feminine to me and other times make me think of B. Frank. I feel like an asshole for even writing this post, but I legitimately think I have a case of gender blindness.

It's been a week now since I spoke with my wife and she reacted super well. We cried together, she asked a bunch of questions that I answered with honesty and as clear as I could. She told me that she loves me and will support me always. Tomorrow I am going to the doc.
There's hope.
