I've straight up got schizophrenia now. Hardcore. So warning to all of you guys. But it came on long after i stopped playing with del's. Basically hell on earth it, drove my life into the ground to say the very least. Don't let this discourage you though, if anything i attribute it to DXM and stimulant use.

Yeah, as someone who regularly abuses both, the paranoid schizophrenic symptoms I get definitely points to dxm being the main culprit. Dph just makes mentally retarded.

500-750mg DPH every day for the past 2 years, reset to 0 for a day and ramp back up from 200 when 750 stops making me /del/ and starts making me /stim/.

I'm medically retired from military so I don't really work unless I want to save up some quick cash to buy something really pricey. DPH has made me asocial as shit; I live with someone and they're pretty much the only contact I have with humans on a regular basis. I volunteer some in the summer here but I can feel my ability to relate to other people slowly slipping away and people have said that they are puzzled by my reactions to things even when I don't think I'm doing anything abnormal.

My sleep cycle is fucked; some days I don't sleep, other days I sleep 16 hours. I've started a new cycle of DMAA in the day time to counter act the DPH the night before, it's regulated my sleep for the time being but DMAA tolerance ramps way quicker than DPH.

On top of all of this I've started training/competing in powerlifting, mostly because it requires no real social skills other than saying numbers and names. I go to a 24 hour gym that has maybe 40 members so I don't really have to worry about seeing anybody there, the only guy who I see regularly doesn't speak English very well.

I'm in my 30's, have no career goals, no real life goals, 1 real friend, and 2 old asshole dogs. I think if I don't turn it around in a couple of years I may just pick a place on a map and go there to die.

Sorry for the blog post but I can't really talk to anyone about this.

For what it's worth my housemate has pretty bad schizophrenia, he finally got on a dose of antipsychotics that makes him stable though and has adjusted to the side effects enough that he's totally functional. He takes 1200mg of seroquel, which is a shitload. At first he was zombified during the day, and while it has taken about 5 years to get the right dose and to adjust to it and become functional he's doing great these days. The dude works 60-70 hour weeks getting up at 2:30am most mornings. Not everyone is so lucky, but there is hope.

Been lurking since 2006 and used to post my del drawings here on occasion. Tried to walk away from dph more than once by cutting all ties to it, but it keeps calling me back again and again. It's still my favourite drug, nothing takes me further from reality, and the hallucinations, oh my. I've since developed some pretty bad hppd that I've been talking to doctors about cause it was there before dph, I just kinda started realising it wasn't normal when I was paying attention to the aftermath of dph.

DPH has stopped me from committing suicide more than once and has been there for me at some of my lowest points. DPH is a hell of a drug and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but it sure as fuck has helped me.

Man, when your body breaks down in the ways that taking DPH that much causes, you'll definitely start to give a shit, whether you think you do now or not. Get yourself a hobby or some other drugs to help you take a break from DPH for fucks sake.

I mean, when your kidneys fail and you suddenly can't use DPH any more and you're not able to pay for any of your hospitalization, you're on the bottom of the list for organ replacement, and you're in agony from not only the withdrawal and inability to use drugs period, but the symptoms of your kidney or whatever failure, on top of the fact you're no longer in a position where you can just kill yourself to end it, you'll be like why the fuck did I do this mang.

At least give enough of a shit not to condemn yourself to that kind of suffering before you die nigga

As an everyday user of DPH myself these rumors circulating about liver/kidney damage concern me also. I've searched high and low for any reputable proof beyond pure speculation that DPH causes anymore damage to your liver than any of the other hundreds of compounds people use on a daily basis that has to be broken down by the liver and can't ever find any hard evidence.

...i'm not saying you're making it up, i'm just generally interested in reading a actual medical research paper or something to substantiate all the claims people have about DPH causing permanent bodily harm. If I see some undeniable proof that it is as bad as it's rumored to be I would like to know as that would be a pretty strong reason to curtail my usage.

He said he takes 1.2 grams a day, presumably every day. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that something like that places excessive stress on the renal system. Drug abuse like that likely in itself causes a fair bit of strain on the renal system even when you assume the effects of the drugs being ingested don't significantly strain the kidneys in particular. DPH, however, does put undue stress on the kidneys and the renal system, so I can only imagine how much taking doses that are considered excessive even by heavier recreational users on a daily basis could do.

Apparently large amounts of poorly or uncontrolled stress over a long period of time can even potentially damage the kidneys. Considering the primary effects sought after in DPH as a drug of abuse are one's that cause you to react to harmless or nonexistent stimuli with terror, not to mention the feelings of impending doom or other cardiovascular stress taking it causes (even if the doom and terror stop being so much an issue with a tolerance as this dude's likely got, his body is still undergoing all the physical stress involved with that).

Anticholinergics in general are pretty well known for causing urinary retention (the inability to completely empty one's bladder or even to piss whatsoever). Even some acute episodes of this are actually capable of causing: "severe sweating, chest pain, anxiety and high blood pressure. Other patients may develop a shock-like condition and may require admission to a hospital. Serious complications of untreated urinary retention include bladder damage and chronic kidney failure."

The biggest contribution it probably makes when it comes to straining the kidney's is how much it dehydrates you. Dehydration plays a major role in acute kidney failure and the development of kidney diseases. When caused specifically by dehydration it was thought to be completely reversible, but that's starting to be called into question: "Abstract
Dehydration, a condition that characterizes excessive loss of body water, is well known to be associated with acute renal dysfunction; however, it has largely been considered reversible and to be associated with no long-term effects on the kidney. Recently, an epidemic of chronic kidney disease has emerged in Central America in which the major risk factor seems to be recurrent heat-associated dehydration. This has led to studies investigating whether recurrent dehydration may lead to permanent kidney damage. Three major potential mechanisms have been identified, including the effects of vasopressin on the kidney, the activation of the aldose reductase-fructokinase pathway, and the effects of chronic hyperuricemia. The discovery of these pathways has also led to the recognition that mild dehydration may be a risk factor in progression of all types of chronic kidney diseases. Furthermore, there is some evidence that increasing hydration, particularly with water, may actually prevent CKD. Thus, a whole new area of investigation is developing that focuses on the role of water and osmolarity and their influence on kidney function and health."

source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26088040

Considering he's not giving himself any breaks and the doses are always like 1.2gs, I think it's safe to say there isn't a whole lot of time for his kidneys to get a break from the strain they're being put under. Hell, we don't even have to just focus on the kidneys. You already mentioned the liver, and his cardiovascular system and heart are technically at a pretty high risk and undergoing regular, unrelenting stress too. I'm just trying to get this nigga to at least slow his fuckin roll so he can avoid a situation where he's in agony for something he's easily got the potential to get under control.

I'll be the first to say cursive was so fuckered up on meth and DXM among other shit all the time that whether or not he was lying is beside the point when it comes to whether or not Yojimbo actually exit-bagged or not. nothing cursive said, believed, or claimed really had much credibility because the purposeful nonsensical posting style and how tangled up his head seemed to be from my interactions on that one chat site in the dxm room those couple of times.

not that cursive was all that bad a person or anything, i'm just saying i wouldn't find anything cursive said credible. i could be totally wrong about the dude with the omega sign and a bunch of symbols that posted on /dis/ and a few other boards around here being Yojimbo after the whole news of his suicide thing started to blow over. I mean there wasn't really a way to confirm it was him, but he made several implicit remarks that basically were to confirm it was him. when i switched my name to agamemnon for a while i even said something like Floyd died because cursive suddenly made a thread about Floyd not posting in a few weeks despite being a regular, and I didn't use a tripcode at the time iirc, so when I said Floyd died, Omega symbols dude/Yojimbo came and posted something along the lines of "yeah he died the same way Yojimbo did" and we both made subsequent replies kind of joking around about that happening.

I mean, nigga posted enough like Yojimbo and didn't go around telling people he actually was Yojimbo all the time, but any time it came up and he was directly asked or whatever, iirc he would openly admit he was Yojimbo and just changed names and he didn't actually commit suicide

Fuck, idk. Been up for 2 days because of being out of phenibut for 3 days and taking amphetamines, finally got a bit more phenibut in to ween myself off, fuckin rambling, shit

Sure, I guess. Cursive isn't somebody I talk about or even think about most of the time because I don't really give a fuck, so I don't think complying will be all that hard to manage.

No promises though, my concussions and dissociative abuse got me diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, and if I'd scored two less points I'd have dementia instead. I forget shit all the time and visit /deli/ specifically because tripfags i used to post with hang around here.

Chances are pretty close to 100% that if cursive pops up as a topic again I'll probabky starting talking about him like I know him again since I've been in some chats with him outside 420chan and was a... let's say familiar and friendly acquaintance of his.

That or I could just not give a fuck, like I don't now. Knowing me, my bet is on forgetting, but then again it's hard to really give less of a fuck than I already do, so I guess it'll wind up just being both.

Man I need to quit getting fucked up on amps, the fuck am i even doing

I used to be a regular. Frequent DPH, DXM, and DPH/DXM trips around 2010 and 2011 at least once a week for quite a while. Got addicted to heroin later on in 2011, and a bunch of /psy/ and /stim/ and /benz/ thrown in there too.

Got diagnosed schizoaffective in 2013 after multiple psych ward stays (with no drugs involved). Always thought there was a correlation between my DXM/DPH use and my illness. I experience auditory hallucinations 24/7, but on good meds so my delusions and paranoia are kept at bay.

Just wanted to let you guys know that, though I'm a rarity, there is no indication of mental illness in my family, and DPH could have been the catalyst or even the cause.

i don't remember this being old
but doesn't feel like yesterday
this guy overkills himself
with like 1g of cyanide
the cops investigate
and interrogate
we see the transcript
everyone was sad
and then back to the board
corpse raised
in some mundane question thread
and then he got permabanned
man i don't even remember
what year was that?

I miss Cursive tbh

I'm a trans girl who used to also heavily use dissociatives, and she was really nice to me. We interacted a few times on the boards here and also on some video chat rooms. She really encouraged me early on in my transition over the first 2 years when I was going through a hellish, suicidal time. She seems to sometimes be active on her youtube channel so I don't think she is dead, but she did take down most of her videos

I hope she's alright. I'd love to get back in touch with her tbh, however briefly, just to check in

You type like
You are writing a poem
Not quite a haiku
Because the syllables are
Quite off kilter
Much like the brain
When on dph
I think the guy you are talking about
Was schiz1
Such a cringy fellow back then

Ay I used to /del/ and post pretty regularly on here since 2012, name was TGDuke or some shot back then.

I was pretty addicted to the experience but have since kicked it and haven't been back here for a couple years but I've been thinking about trying it out again. How have you faggots been?

Forgot to mention that yeah, DPH has fucked me up pretty bad. I heard recently that DPH was found to be a link to dementia and that has me pretty scared honestly. I'm only 20 and already feel like a have a mild form of dementia or something of the sort.

I'm in the exact same boat, friend. Except I have a girlfriend that I emotionally abuse without realizing it (heavily working on fixing these issues). I wish I was fucking dead but too pussy to do it mysef.

Oldfag from 2012, was a young buck back then, eating robo gels and downing those lil pink devils, but now am a literal modern day alchemist. a/b extractions for days. Have consumed more than my fair share of DPH and Datura (Blame it on the Da-da-da-da-da-datura) the latter of which has found its way into ayahuasca brews I have made for (now clean and recovered) opiate addicts. Don't worry too much about the memory issues guise, you are making most of it up by worrying about it so much, your brain is affected by your thoughts, stay positive. If you are actually worried about long-term effects, then order yourself some Noopept, and take that 3 times a day with some Choline Bitartate, and whatever damage you think you may have done, will be repaired and reversed. Haven't been here in years, and only came here to find out about Cetirizine, as I have developed allergies this past year and I can't stand the sight of Benadryl anymore (DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 300MG OF DXM AND DPH TOGETHER). There is a real world guys, it is incredible, scary, but incredible, and you will not go through anything you are not meant to come out of.

I'm so addicted to DPH it's not even funny.
I can't believe it's been almost seven years since I started, and it has always been heavy use.

It's usually the first thing I relapse in when I go back out. I live in a halfway house with a bunch of heroin addicts because of my Benadryl addiction.
Sure, I used to shoot up meth and oxys and what not, but dph has been a much bigger problem in my life than anything else.

I used to come here from 2010 to 2011, but only /del/ved a couple of times before I quit that stuff completely. Later on started becoming a heavy drinker, quit it again and now I only smoke weed and drink beer. Just started reading /del/ again for the nostalgia, those were some fun times.
