Coming off a relapse that lasted way longer than I intended... I thought I had been binging for a week and already felt like shit, and realized tonight it's been a month at least... There were a few breaks in there but I'm still a little spooked. Speed and h both sneak the fuck up on me every time, even after all these years.

Would appreciate some stories, thoughts and positive vibes while I rethink my entire shitty life and get ready to get clean all over again.

All I can say is you gotta have the will to get better, and maybe consider getting a doctor to help you with some meds to taper you off. Weed definitely seems to help some people.

I used to experiment with Demerol and opiate analog RCs. I didn't get as hooked as I thought I would, though. I also was experimenting with psychedelics at the same time so I'm not sure if that was the reason.

Stims, I used to use amphetamines, 4-methylbuphedrone, ephedrine, and clenbuterol (cardiovascular steroid but has stim effects). I know how addicting they can be, but now I don't even drink coffee that often. It's sometimes nice to appreciate your natural pace and go with that instead of racing everywhere.

You just have to keep focused on your motivations for staying clean. For me, it's probation. For somebody else, it might be family or future opportunities.

Good luck and SLAYER to you.

Whenever I quit smoking weed after long term heavy use I find that little things will have me literally screaming in rage and breaking things.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Felt like shit on my second day sober, but then I went to boxing practice and holy shit, just a like 15 minutes in I felt so fucking great. Sparring was great to relieve my pent-up anger.

I've been sober for 86 days now and I'm still mad about it. I think normal anger management techniques apply, deep breathing, counting backwards from 100 or 1000, etc.

Exercise is also a good option.

I think emotional dependence on drugs in general causes severe mood swings when you quit. I've been off Heroin for two weeks and I've experienced fits of rage, smashing and breaking things while screaming after not sleeping for like 3 nights, followed by emotional numbness. I realize that I was never having strong emotions on H and before that I'd use alcohol to numb anything so it's been years since my brain has had to naturally attempt to correct mood, leading to these crazy outbursts. I imagine weed, even though it doesn't imbalance neurotransmitters, has some similar effect psychologically. Unfortunately for us it's a long waiting game and disciplined recovery practices to get the nervous system back to some sort of emotional equilibrium. At least the mania can be fun...

Does the irritability last after you've detoxed completely? It could be that the weed was helping. Personally, it helps whenever I get manic episodes that were an issue beforehand, so I notice my rage getting worse when I stop and the mania returns. Either way, like everyone already said, find an outlet.

Pre-Employment Drug Tests? by Graham Tillingshaw - Tue, 28 Mar 2017 18:48:02 EST ID:i/KN5c+B No.29101 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Hey guys. I rarely post on 420chan, but I like to lurk occasionally so let me know if there's a better board to ask this question in.

How can I find out if a company drug tests? I'm a college student and I just accepted an internship offer in Chicago today, but I have no idea if they'll give me a pre-employment test. I have plenty of time to detox if they do, but I'd rather know up front. Obviously, I don't want to just send an email asking about it to HR because that seems like a bad idea. I tried googling around but nothing helpful came up, so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

tldr; how do I find out if a company will drug test me?

You can look through their website. I have noticed some in the employment information. sections. Some states are different, look up your states
guidelines on pre-employment drug testing. Some may have this as part of the application form. Some in the past do not have to disclose these. Some may
only test if employee acts irrationally, especially in an enviornment that can psoe a danger to hisself of others. So look up your states guidelines.

You need to go deep into your being with breath focus / meditation. Probably drink some fishoil, take vitamin-b and magnesium supplementation and perhaps try some medicinal marijuana, the CBD variant, that won't get you high.

Entheogens vary, but all have the biggest potential for self-realization and healing. Basically, your being can (but not "you" as 'you' only exist in your ego) can go down and find your genes resposible for regeneration of nervous tissue. Don't try, but "Let go and let God". Drink some CBD drops early in the morning, lie down again, "wake up" slowly with a focus on your well being, and let whatever happens, happen.

It's probably a very nervious state of being you're in. Very common, yes, and less common for people to find their way out, because it takes hard work. Many simply resign and deal with it that way.

It's not impossible. Best of luck.

The natural healing process can be tapped into without entheogens, but may take some more work. Let's finish off with a quote from Muhammed Ali: “If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it.”

Best of luck.

No. Another thing is, you possibly could take the pro-active approach where you inform your superiors that you are considering medicinal marijuana, (explaining you don't wanna get high, so the values of CBD/THC will be different from the 'high people's') in your attempt to deal with your shaking hands, as a prescription drug, and add that you're attending meditation classes and trying to shake up your lifestyle a bit, to see if it can help with your affliction. I can't imagine anything than your superiors will approve of it, if you think they will be able to tell you're honest about it, telling them you don't wanna lose your job.

Also, here's the leap of faith; you may need to explain them that there's no side-effects with medicinal marijuana; you don't feel stoned, high or anything like that, so it won't affect your job in any noticeable way. There are a lot of testemonials to that out there. It's working in very very subtle ways and won't restrain you in any of the usual pot-ways. I have used CBD drops, actually, for my addiction with pot, plus I had some nervous troubles laying completely still healing up from whiplash symptoms from an assalut. I took them for about half a year and I can't explaing how incredibly helpfull it was de-stressing myself. I can try to explain how it works comparing it to coffe. It's counter-coffe, really, but not dozing in any way. Just mellowing, destressing and kinda like meditating. Look up how CBD works, and you'll be amazed on how many afflictions and illnesses it can either cure or help people deal with. Alzheimer's is one of them. It's very profound. Look up a vid on jewtube.

It's like a toolbox of sorts. It really help having enough tools fixing your house if you wanna do it quick.

And another tip from the yoga-dude. Use it with respect and it will respect you. It's a plant remedy. Not just a chemically born molecule/pill. Therein lies the compability with our being.

Namasté and best of luck

yea, take b-12 complex vitamins. Binge drinking or consistent drinking you simply have to take these after stopping drinking. Drinking and not taking b-12 complex can mess with your brain aside from shaking as well. Take a multivitamin in the morning and a b-12 complex mid-day and evening. This should help.

Do noooot smoke cigs. Simple as that, that can prolong shaking. Even if one thinks the two are not related. For that matter, alcohol and nicotine takes a toll even if does not notice the correlation.

/detox/,

I'm 29 years old and I smoke/vape weed every day. I used it to alleviate my social anxiety, but I have to get clean later this year. I'll be applying for dental hygiene school and all of my eggs are in this basket.

I weight about 187 pounds, going from smoking some fairly decent shit near daily for several consecutive years to cold turkey no weed, what the longest it could possibly take me to no-margin-of-error pass a weed drug test?

Some doctors say it can last. Could try a reset button and drink again. Not a great idea. In all these may stop, try using your habds in different ways. Umm, I think
a benozo like clonazapam would work after a reset, then a few weeks of clonazapam would fix this. May sound waay off but 3 months is a long time to shake. Benzos taken for a short while may quiet down what is causing the shakes. Shaking and trying to accomplish what would be basically easy
tasks sucks.

I doubt these would last for life, otherwise a good part of the population would be noticably shaky.

Hey /detox/. I smoke every day, but only in one-hitter sized amounts per session. As such, I go through about a gram a week, except last week, in which I went through an eighth because it was spring break.

Given this, and the fact that I've been on the gram-a-week-in-small-amounts-each-day schedule for roughly a year, how long would I have to quit in order to pass a urine test?

I've taken roughly 200 .5 pills since Dec and I have never experienced benzos prior Because I ran out of my script early and I was worried about withdrawal I've been taking etizolam. I've been relatively safe. I want off this boat but I'll already ingest around 150mg of etizolam over the last couple weeks. Problem is I hadn't heard anything for two weeks and I smoked about 2 bowls over the course of 4 days about 4 days ago, after not smoking for several months. I know I'm fucked if I don't screw with the drug test. Is it possible to dilute my urine by drinking a lot of water, but increase my creatinine levels by taking creatine? literally just did this a week ago.

pre-employment drug screens dont watch you go.

First you need clean pee from someone, if you cant get clean pee from anyone you know then good luck.

If you can get clean pee, go to your local gas station and buy one of those big 5 hour energy bottles and take the label off, pour it out, and rinse it out real good.

Put the clean pee in it, wear tight as FUCK briefs, but bottle under your ballsack for a good hour right up until the test.

Pour clean pee into UA cup, voila. just make sure the pee has reached your body temp, hence being under your balls for so long. needs to be warm

So, long story short, I have to "voluntarily" go to through a lame rehab program in lieu of jail time because I overdosed on psychedelic amphetamines and got caught with them (stupid, I know - heroic does of DOI.)

So far it's basically just kindergarten style group sharing with a bunch of God-loving fundamentalists who tell me to accept Jesus and put God into my life and everything will be OK. Pretty fucking lame for something that's supposed to be a "safe space" for all religious beliefs (I'm agnostic and don't particularly care about religion. I don't care for bible thumping, however).

Even my therapist asked me how I felt my rehab was important in a "spiritual context."

How do I avoid killing myself dealing with all these religious nuts and completing my six months of bullshit? It sure beats jail time. Oh, and I'm randomly tested (urine and blood). So far the therapists have no chill.

I'm not denying that I couldn't use help, after all, I'm doing stupid things like heroic dosing on DOI. However, taking away the burnt offering of cannabis alongside it has really ticked me off. How do I enjoy being sober again? Everything just seems boring or like work.

I guess mostly I just wanted a "safe space" to vent - and feel like this place is safer than the groups I participate in because of the omnipresent fundie Christian mafia.

Hey bro, heavy drug user currently on a break for lent, I suggest you give God a shot. He's not an actual bearded sky wizard, he's the entire noosphere, the human experience aggregate, the fucking universe. The sky wizard thing was just a feudal interpretation of him, a way to appeal to/oppress the normies of that day. Would you hear me out if I then went on to say the Vatican is Satanic and corrupt?

Most people have a hard time selling God, and it's always because they can't separate scripture from faith, or they let their own egos/ignorance/imperfect beliefs murk their conversion attempt.

It's completely true when I say that if you actually try and seek God out, like just unironically open up to the entire possibility, that your life WILL then end up totally fine. Following God, in the way he's to be followed, is a tremendously righteous feeling.

OP I suggest you just bullshit the therapy, go high every time and just do your thing, but at the same time give a serious attempt to connect yourself to God considering you're halfway there already.

Mushrooms tightened my relationship with God, and holy fuck was that a blessing. My life is terrific now, and I want you to be happy like me!

I don't believe in superstition. If you took the Spinozan approach and said God was the natural universe, maybe I would concede that belief could be tolerated, but superstitious beliefs are irrational and inevitably lead to bad decisions.

That being said, I respect your right to have your own belief system. I don't think I completely understand your belief system but I do remember having very profound experiences that a different person might have characterized as "spiritual" on shrooms and many psychedelics.

As I said in previous threads, they test my urine basically once a week so going high would be difficult.

Thanks for the thoughts and well-wishing all the same.

Not to mention I feel better mentally and physically since switching from liquor to weed, no more hangovers and not waking up with that fucking taste in your mouth. You know the taste I'm talking about, worst thing about being a drunk for me honestly.

Either way, good luck with whatever you decide, but I know from my experience I don't think I would ever go back to the liquor when I can just smoke some weed instead. You're doing great man, 9 months is a big deal; it's really hard dealing with the reasons for drinking but you'll learn to cope.

I do know, smoking makes life seem like basic crap for me. If say I don't smoke a cig for a month, then smoke, it instantly makes life far less enjoyable, motivation disappears,, environmental stimulation, deduction to today and the next day
disappears.

Smoke first thing in the morning all my motivation and plans change immediately. Try to quit.
