Alright laaads I'm sick of this. /dis/ faces a fate worse than death, just kept in suspended animation above zombie. I think its because nobody can chugg sizzurp erryday - tolerance gets in the way.

How do we fight tolerance thus saving our dead board? If there is a will there is a way.

For instance, I discovered by accident that you hold a piece of silver to your throat day after a trip it will draw out the DXM from your lymph node.

I tried alot of shit to get dis tolerance down. Like even taking nmda agonists but nothing helped. Only thing that does is taking an actual break of atleast 2-3 months if you are a daily user.

From what I can tell /dis/ is mid-speed for the drug boards, which means it's doing pretty good compared to most boards here. Almost every board on this chan is slowly dying, it has nothing to do with the dex.

Not nice. Nocebo vibes need to stop being a thing on this board if we want to properly revive.

I mean it's a dumb idea, but that does not mean that OP fried himself or whatever.

Naw I was wearing this silver necklace after tripping and the DXM smell was following me everywhere. It took me a while to figure out it was the necklace. It oxidized after a few days.

Every tripfag died in 2013-2014.

The reason I thought >>362142 might be kerflap is because he was the type of /dis/ user to dose DXM every single day albeit he usually microdosed but still.

I'm still alive guys. Actually doing pretty well minus a hard break up with a toxic ex. Been trying to get my use back in control since i spent a few weeks in a row in sigma. I'm going to be alive and kicking for a long time, a lot longer than 429chan has got left. Fucking kirt needs to do something about this place to keep it up and running. I'm not talking shit, but if something doesnt change then 420channers are going to become an extinct group of people. Someone needs to step up and make this place get some new life.

Oh and the death of tripfags is great. Fuck all of you. You don't even care because I'm sure you have your internal circlejerk, and that;s fine. But you decidedly ruined a place that people loved, and what you have now are the fucking consequences.

Hi flappers, I'm bumping this thread because of the mention this place needs new life.

In agreement with the poster below yours saying how this place is full of futurevibe and polfags. FFS it's true. Someone straight up openly admitted they had been using other websites to recruit people to come here specifically to shitpost and cause trouble, and there were screen caps and all that to go with it.

But the place was going downhill before that anyway. All my nostalgia of this place for ten years ago is not make believe. It was totally different back then. There used to be hardcore etiquette back in the day. Anarchy will destroy us.

i gotta admit, its been some time since trips were gone, i say bring trips back, get more moderators, kirt shouldnt make it shit for people who want that community thing but again, it shouldnt make it shit for those of us who dont care for it and have always been anonymous, for it to work you need some kind of balance, and the moderation issue is important because on every fucking board you see people asking for numbers and sources and that shit is just not on, it can also keep places like here under control, i mean whatever, you guys have to bring it up with kirt himself

/dis/ of even 2011, 2013-ish was doing well. Might've had something to do with the prevalence of RCs at the time vs syrup. Any way you look at it, it was an interesting place though. Lots of philosophy, a bad trip or psychotic break every now and again- which the forum worked with in a really helpful and interesting way (I walked someone through a bad trip here once or twice).

The tripfags were mostly great anchor personalities. The intentional shitposting you're talking about came as a response to Kerflap, Cursive, et. al turning the place into their private drama club. That did put the focus back on the drugs; the drama disappeared. Seems like a fair amount of the soul that was left in this place went with it, though.

I used to love hanging out here (and the boards were moving fast enough at the time that it was just about right to go with a dissociative trip). Have to admit that a big part of the difference is lifestyle change for me, though. It's been years since I touched a dissociative. /dis/ as a class of drugs mostly died for me in the year after the Nazis wiped MXE off the face of the earth. I'd like to hit one of the RCs soon, just hoping, but I'm not very optimistic.

Aside from the fact that the board has slowed down some, and there are probably fewer real-time trip threads, I'm not a great person to offer criticism. I miss the drug scene that was here (and in my life) eight years ago - that has certainly changed. I miss the intelligent, philosophical edge (reminded me a lot of /pss/ sometimes) and occasional insanity thread where you could trip with someone.

A glance at the first page shows a bunch of relevant topics, and enough of them are interesting. It's not like there are a cluster of assholes responding to them, either (as there are on some boards). Given the way forums and instant messaging have died across the internet, to be replaced by I guess Facebook and Twitter (which is a genuine tragedy), I think /dis/ is doing all right.

I still stop by here after all this time - that says something. I would like to see a trial run of tripcodes/namefags again (hell, I want to see MXE on Kickstarter for bringing the magic back, but I'd settle for that). Either way, though, I don't think this place is finished.
