Ever had one of these? When you move somewhere and the dreams of this place start making their own areas. And you're kinda exploring the new city but when you visit these areas in real life, everything's different and new.

I've had a dream where my city was a dark dystopia mixed with a blade runner vibe, everything was in the exact same place only looked futuristic and the sky was dark purple, as for the people? well... It was only me.

I have dreams like this, but they always involve my old city. As if I never fully explored it, which I didn't btw. Real Silent Hill vibe too, some streets are just rusted gratings, and the houses are foreboding as shit. Not scary but real creepy like.

Last night I dreamt that a goat was giving birth with difficulty. A kid was born but it meant the mother would die. A sign of the times perhaps.

After a rather vivid dream I had the other night, I've felt like sharing it but not had an outlet.

To give a bit of background, the dream took place in a town where I currently live and have spent most of my life, but moved away from for 3 years. It wasn't a long dream, but most of it was spent on the block I used to live in when I first lived here, back when I was 5-8 years old (I'm 25 now for reference).

>The Dream:
I feel there was a lot more before it got to where I actually remember, but I was driving and parked across the street from my old house. Without warning, a stranger (I could see his face clearly in the dream but can't remember it now) got in the back seat. For some reason neither of us spoke and I took off as if I were a taxi driver or something, knowing this guy wasn't anybody I knew and that he shouldn't be in the car. Despite the dream being so vivid though, my faculties weren't all there, and knowing these things didn't make me question my actions.

After I made it about a black and a half, for some reason I pulled over. I can't remember if it was of my own volition, or if he had actually said anything to get me to pull over. Once he had gotten out, he stood outside my open window and no sooner pulled out and pointed a gun at me than started to shoot. My torso had been facing him, and he put about 5-7 shots in my chest, 2 in my shoulder, and then at least 2 in my head, but after the second head shot I woke up, presumably from having died.

Now, I don't normally feel pain in dreams, but after getting shot in the chest so much I did feel as though I were having a heart attack, or like something was seriously wrong with my heart and ability to respire. The experience was so unexpected that it was rather exciting, it was certainly a very interesting dream. I remember the entire dream was vivid, but most of my memory surrounds being shot for obvious reasons. For some reason I wasn't scared at all, not of somebody having a gun, not of him shooting at me, nor of dying as I was being shot. For some reason I just... observed and "enjoyed" the experience for a lack of a better way of putting it. I definitely enjoyed the dream once I w…

I had a dream I was living in a backwoods area of rural New Zealand, my decrepit shack gave me great joy and the majority of my dream was cruising around finishing menial tasks such as picking vegetables or feeding the animals that I presumably owned. As I was cooking a meal in the shack I began to hear a whirring sound begin to emanate from the front door, the sound was very similar the buzz you hear on DMT or the nightmare screech during paralysis. the dream began to get very dark as I heard a knock on the door, I opened the door to see 2 very shabby looking crack addicts, I asked if I could help them and all she said was "watch your death, be wary of the undertow". I closed the door and could feel my heart beating out of my chest with utter terror, trying to find a safe spot in the house was impossible as every doorway led back to the front door, as I gave up I felt a knife slowly slice across my throat, I fell to the ground and as I turned over gagging on blood I looked up to see myself brandishing the knife with a cold stare. the dream ended with my own hand closing my eyes.
Needless to say that dream has stuck with me and I sometimes sit and try to think about every possible message that dream was trying to tell me.

I was dreaming from one of the experiments they did a few decades ago on people.

I was on a small island in the ocean with a group a men (about 7 friends). We were on a fishing holiday and casting off from some rocks along the edge of the beach. My closest friend appeared to look like Paul Blart, then all of a sudden there was a huge flash in sky, and then we could see a nuclear bomb was set off. We all freaked out and started to run for our lives towards the shore, and I could make out the cliff above us was set on fire from the flash. It was like a survivor course, we figured they lead us to the island on this get away because the military wanted to observe what we would do in the situation. We all died, and I hear the island had all its top soil moved. I could get over how they used people for their own end.

I really only remember dying vividly in one particular dream. Usually if I die in a dream, it's something silly, like falling off a building and then waking up with a start. But this one time, I remember actually feeling despair at the fact that I was gonna die.

I have this recurring dream, where I'm wandering through interconnected houses. Like if you took all the nice, normal family homes on a neighborhood block and squished them together so all the outside doors would open into other houses. Some of the houses are well lit, and contain people that are doing everyday stuff like watching TV, eating, reading, cleaning, whatever. The thing is I can't interact with them in any way. I feel like I can push and nudge them, but either they're simply incapable of realizing i'm there, or they're trying profoundly hard not to notice me. And some of the houses look nice and normal, except the lights are off. There are no people, but there is usually "something" there. Like an evil spirit who wants you to get the fuck out. If you act like one of the oblivious people and just walk straight through like you're on a mission, nothing will happen. But if you start to loiter or look around, bad things start to happen. Like every time you turn around, more stuff/furniture/garbage will be in the room. Or something will fucking move from under a sheet, or sounds of something shuffling like it's getting closer. So I spend these dreams wandering around, kind of observing the oblivious people, trying to hurry through the dark rooms, except even watching the oblivious people is kinda creepy, and I never feel like I can stay watching one person for too long.

This one dream in particular, I did exactly that. There was an attractive lady, maybe 40 years old, she wasn't a bombshell or anything, but for some reason she just stood out from all the other people in houses. I think it was because she seemed slightly upset, like her eyes were kinda nervous. Which is unlike all the other people who seem totally content to just lounge around in their houses. I remember she was just drinking coffee and sitting at the table and worrying, which is what made me stop and really look at her. I just ki…

Last night i died in my dream. My city was under attack with bombs and soldiers. I ran out from my home and met some foreign army patrol. They shot me in the chest and, i swear, i felt the pain like it was real. Its not the first time when dream feelings amazed me with their realness. I was bleeding and slowly dying with that chest pain. When i made last breath, the whole vision was clouded by white screen. After that screen i woke up in sweat. Could this thing mean anything?

I like to think i've swapped places with a double somewhere in the multiverse when I have these dreams...

Similar story over here as well, I was in a desert strolling along with an army convoy (which I was part of) a few seconds later an explosion goes off in front of an army vehicle, I get blasted back and hit my head on a rock, my nose started to bleed, but before I could react I got shot. I wake up and look at my pillow, disturbingly there was blood on it.

I'm curious about your experience with these things.

I've started having both a lot lately since I picked up a clonazolam habit. My first lucid dream is documented in the bump with dreams thread. I have a strong past with dissos but have been off a few days and my last clam dose was last night. I started getting tired in the middle of the day today so I went and laid down. After a few minutes I would get a hallucination that my eyes were open and I was looking at my hands, or my ceiling, etc. Very real and vivid but the slightest movement and it disappeared. Very cool. I was also having half dreams but very faded, more like a shift in my thoughts process and visuals akin to strong imagination. This happened for a while but then as I was finally nodding off to sleep a man behind me started repeating that cheesy creepysta thing you see on /b/ (except he said "My name is benny dick and I'm dead" because I was thinking about taking some benadryl to up the experience before since clearly some goofy shit was going on). Either way it was fucking terrifying.

So I screamed like a total bitch and wound up in sleep paralysis. Couldn't move no matter how hard I tried, kept hearing people talk and dogs barking. All the while I was scared shitless over who the man was and if hed return. Thank God I was facing the wall because I know that it basically becomes a /del/ trip with shadow people and shit. I fell on the floor and felt the hardwood against my leg but opening my eyes showed me on my bed still. Tried so hard to scream for my roommate but to no avail. My previous paralysis experiences were brief but this went on for a good 10-15 minutes.

My aim was for a lucid dream since those are the coolest shit and I figured I was in for one because of the goofy hallucinations I was getting. I dont have an explanation for any of this other than the clonazolam from last night and the 3meo from 4 days ago.

So anyway
Post experiences with lucid dreams and sleep paralysis here. Tips and such are welcome as well.

I'm surprised this isn't a more oft discussed topic around here.

Never had a problem with sleep paralysis. I'm told holding your breath is both possible and a decent way to jolt yourself awake because your body goes "oh shit someone's choking me". That or you're some kind of superhuman who can choke himself to unconsciousness at will, but that still solves the problem of shadow people.

Now, lucid dreaming. Bear in mind that half of what you'll find, including what I'm saying, is likely to be broscience with no bearing in reality, so try things out and pick what works.
Supplements: There's a ton of different guides and shit out there, and I'm not into them well enough to really make a ton of recommendations, so I'll just say you might get something from taking a pill or two of vitamin B before bed. Some people swear melatonin helps, but I dunno. Talk to your doctor about that if you wanna try it, it shouldn't be dangerous but just say you're having a little trouble sleeping and mention you've heard it might help, Lord knows it might even be available OTC.
There are some who swear by Valerian, but the science is all over the place on that and some claim it's harmful, so yeah.

Generally I'm not a fan of supplements. They never did much dream-wise (although it did help me sleep better than usually, so there's that) so I've largely stayed away from that.

Pre-sleep tricks: If you can fall asleep on your back, that's great. The goal here is to trick your body into thinking it's sleeping before your brain shuts completely down (for reference, this is known as Wake-Induced Lucid Dreaming, or WILD). I personally can't, but still give it a go sometimes because the numbness and not-entirely-wakeful consciousness is pretty nice.
Other than that, skip the coffee and energy drinks thirty minutes before bed. Nothing wrong with a bit of food, but you're trying to fall asleep.

Habits: There are ways to check if you're awake if you're ever in doubt, but unless it's a habit you'll probably forget to do so because everything makes sense in the context of a dream even if it'd be crazy IRL. Start developing habits that'll help you check your state of mind. My personal favourite was/is to try to push my index finger through my palm. Since you're awake, go ahead and try now. It won't feel that way in a dream: Results vary, but usually involve your finger moving right along its merry way. Do this right, and you'll realize you're asleep. Good job, that's step one.

Other options for this include, but are in no way limited to: Checking digital clocks and trying to read them, watching for false awakenings/deja-vu, having a detailed morning routine involving one or more of these. Basically checking that anything that's consistently weird in dreams is behaving normally. I don't recommend going full-on Inception and carrying around fucking spinning tops and whatever, though, unless you've got a locket with a picture of your dead child or something, in which case I apologize.

Spinning works. Seriously, spin moar fgt.
>FUCK MIRRORS

And fuck the door leading out of your god damn bedroom. Holy fuck, fuck hallways to your bedroom. Jump out your window instead. The most horrifying creatures stand in hallways and will stare you down for hours straight. Jesus fucking Christ, you can't escape the stare.

Trying to orgasm if you ever do get to fuck someone always ends up with you waking up before orgasm and furiously beating down the more raging boner ever. Often with intense feelings of wanting to hit yourself in the nuts. Weird as fuck.

Nothing electrical ever works right either. Light switches, clocks, computers etc. I've had 2 experience where I though I was dreaming but was actually awake. Didn't go to well. Most people don't even know what lucid dreaming is. Screaming naughty words is a good checker. Most people in real life will kinda weird out but in dreams screaming FUCK always makes people float away. The bad part is screaming FUCK in the walmart can get you kicked out.

I was actually really into lucid dreaming a while ago. I stopped when I would sincerely question my reality before doing a reality check. It really makes you appreciate trippy shit we have today, like planes, phones, all technology.
I've beeing doing RC's for a month+ but I smoke a lot of weed these days and I don't keep a journal so meh.
I've also fucksed with paralysis, that shit is mythical.
The consistently increasing and inaudible background noise, your loud heartbeat, your whole body pulsating and tingeling, and then you see your encumbered coat hanger turn into a dark figure edging close to you or a man entering your room, all while being paralysed.
Usually when it happens I close my eyes and try to think of puppies and rainbows to mute the complete terror but that demonic, background sound just starts screaming at you. Even if you close your eyes you just know that there's someone or something there.

A good reality check is closing your nose and trying to breathe through it. It works like a charm and has only failed me once when I wasn't paying attention in a dream. I always try to fuck in dreams, like, always. I'd suggest talking with people, I really want to tell some dream character I am dreaming. Shit, I'd rather live in the dream world forever, too bad the DMT death theory isn't real.

For over 10 years I've dreamed of committing suicide but in every scenario, I wake up before I die or commit to doing whatever method. In the past year or less I've had repeated dreams though where I go through with it and I actually kill myself. I then see my body fall but my vision remains in the same place as I eyes were before I died and I see my corpse on the ground. An amount of time passes and I wake up with no feelings whatsoever. Before I would feel a sense of mania and insanity along with depression.

I rather recently dreamt (i think it was a few days before the american presidential election) that I was eating on a piece of chicken leg and threw the bone that had a bit of meat on it to a statue of kek.

YES, OP. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS THREAD.

I had a dream when I was 6-7ish years old that I met Snoop Dogg and we went on to star on the set of the Drop It Like It's Hot. I've wanted to meet him ever since then.

I've had dreams with at least a few others when I was younger. I fucked J Lo before. In that dream I was in a white room, white bed and had intercourse with five, probably more fine broads, at once. J-Ho was the leader of them all and I had a final boss battle with her.

I've had one featuring MC Ride, one featuring Danny DeVito (Who gave me an amulet apparently belonging to hitler) and more than five dreams about Lady Gaga, usually fucking her in the ass
don't even think she's that attractive irl. It's kind of distasteful.

Anyone fuck or have a lucid dream about fuckin, An then you bust irl?

I have been astral protecting sence i was fifteen. Last night i had a strange experience where i was flying around space and i ran into a girl. I didnt say or do anything we just made eye contact and when we did we flew at eachother and had sex? I think? It felt dope and i woke up and i had busted a fat nut all over myself like some kind of chump. Never had this happen and im wondering if any of you have?

Also what are some of the repercussions of this. Im still in college and i cant take care of no astral babbies. I also didnt use any protection, not even a positive loving light bubble around my dick. Can you catch STDs in the astral realm?

Nicotine patches by Phoebe Nunningbanks - Fri, 11 Nov 2016 20:59:45 EST ID:NfM3Ulul No.45351 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

This might've been discussed to death on this board, I'm sorry if it has been. I don't really frequent this board.
Basically, I gave up smoking a week ago and I got prescribed nicotine patches. Now, what they didn't tell me is that it completely fucks with your dreams. I don't know the exact science, but basically, when smoking cigarettes, nicotine realy activates your brain and makes it rush. So when I go to sleep with a patch on, I'm basically getting nicotine pumped into my body while sleeping, causing my brain to go into crazy-mode even though I'm asleep. This results in the craziest fucking dreams. Very lucid, very memorable. I wake up three to four times a night and remember exactly what I was dreaming about and comfortably go back to that dream after about five minutes.
Now I've spoken to some people who say that the nicotine patches give them nightmares, but that's not the case for me. Just completely random and weird dreams and I fucking love it. I've always somehow had the capacity to turn a prospective nightmare into something positive, like my brain won't allow nightmares and just changes the scenario into something good.

Rambling over. I just wondered if any of you guys every experimented with nicotine patches. There's stories all over the internet on how they affect your dreams. Like I said, you're probably aware of this but I thought I'd share anyway. It's a wild ride and I love it for now.

Yes... Fucking YES.

Craziest fucking dreams of my life. Chased through endless hellforest corridors, initiated the end of the world by opening snake doors... Met cosmic underground buddhist sects, endless, terrifying, beautiful, incomprehensible lucid nightmares.

10/10, you'll wake up sweating but would recommend. Seems to get crazier the higher the patch dosage.

What are your memorable dreams so far with them OP?
