I guess I've been living under a rock because I had no idea Tito's was so popular, and it's actually the best tasting vodka I've ever had.

Until I start making more money, it's always going to be bottom of the shelf, but I just started working so that's pretty gucci

I'm not going to say that all other brands of vodka are less than half-decent, but I agree that Tito's is best.

I'm partial to potato vodkas (Luksosowa, Monopolowa) if I'm looking to taste what I mix, otherwise any standard glass fifth should do (Gilbey's, Burnett's, New Amsterdam, etc.). Sobieski is good. Enjoyed Tito's but didn't think it was extraordinary.

what you on about m8

its 40% alcohol like any other vodka, how is it "less refined"
Isabella Hammleson - Tue, 11 Oct 2016 23:04:45 EST ID:mlBDc0Vo No.270373 Ignore Report Quick Reply
meaning non-vodka alcohol has more stuff in it and is less refined. vodka is more pure.

I was about to say that Moes isn't exactly top of my list for fictional pubs I'd like to have a drink in, but come to think of it I don't think I even have a list of fictional pubs I'd like to drink in. My mind went to the winchester in pic related but tbh I could probably get a very faithful winchester experience by going to literally any pub nearby.
Never watched cheers, don't really know much about the pub there.

When you say fuck it and decide to drink everything you've got lying around in the house so you end up on the floor after taking an admirable effort to get into bed after drinking three sixpacks, half a bottle of vodka, the rest of the rum, a bottle of wine and those schnapps your friends left three weeks ago, and you wake up naked except for an undershirt dribbled with vomit and projectile vomit all over the walls to your right and you decide never to drink again until it starts getting dark again and there you are drinking again

Is there any normalcy to drinking?

Is there any normal reason or amount of alcohol to drink? People accuse other of drinking to much, or drinking without reason, but is there any?

Is there there any normal way to feel on while drinking, is there a proper way to act while drunk? Seems people judge you pretty hard on this, to the extent that there's laws on this.

I can vouch for drinking for taste. When it comes to beer, I mostly drink for the pleasure of the taste, especially when I'm not drinking nat daddys and icehouse edges. A firm IPA like lagunitas, uinta hop-nosh, six-point resin, heddy topper, dogfish head 60 min, stone, or some other weird shit that isn't an IPA but is still good, is always about taste first and buzz second. I don't deny the buzz like classy hypocrites, I just value the taste more.

I would say so yes it varies according to country what's acceptable, Belarus being the worst for drink. I Live in Scotland and it seems like nearly everyone drinks way more than is healthy for them so it can be a little hard to tell who's truly going over the limit . For example if I lived in Kuwait my drinking would be way out of line, but in Russia a not so much.

But I when I think of normalcy in drinking I always think of a study they did in St Kitts with monkeys. You see science men realised that the monkeys would steal drinks from tourists or go about drinking empties- so they decided to give the monkey's drinks and see what happened.

It turned out 65% of the monkeys preferred their drink being fruit juice based and would only drink with other monkeys and only after lunch. 15% of the monkeys were complete tee-totallers. Another 15% were what you might call alcohol enthusiasts who preferred their alcohol neat or diluted with water and would drink on their own. And the last 5% would drink anything and everything, wouldn't give two fucks and would just until they passed.

I imagine that study is more or less applicable to human drinking.
David Sullerlure - Sun, 09 Oct 2016 07:24:14 EST ID:rcfE6kkb No.270305 Ignore Report Quick Reply
wow, maybe you have some links to that monkey study? Seems really eye opening, if even animals can resist the urge does that mean it's not only physical? What does that say about us, drunkards, then?
Matilda Greenway - Sun, 09 Oct 2016 10:49:21 EST ID:osMaHRRS No.270309 Ignore Report Quick Reply
I believe this is the study with the ratios:
and there's also this :
Not entirely sure how useful that is because I haven't read it, but it does concern drinking in monkeys. Although that last one would probably only be meaningful to a scientist.

In fact you should have at least one fermented drink a day for digestion and to help clean your system out. Good quality drink with a meal is good for you but I think more than one per sitting is probably a bit damaging to the system.
