So I've been drinking a lot almost every day since Christmas and recently I noticed while I was at work my liver or the area its located has been having this twitching sensation.

I should add that my doctor said I had fatty liver a while ago in like 2015 september but I had not been drinking for atleast a year and a half before that.

Am I dying?

I'm also 22 years old if that helps I just need an answer and google isn't helping at fucking all.

Also I know this could be on the medical board but I was hoping some of you alcoholics have had this before.

I have nothing to add; but if you're dying at 22 I'm probably on my deathbed with my 1L/day habit.

PS I get organ pain all the time, dry heaves, nausea, everything except the shakes for some reason.

Do you get these symptoms 8-24 hours after your last drink?

It's something minor, most likely gallstones. I started getting that sort of weird crampy, alcohol associated pain around the same age and it has progressed over time but never to the point of needing surgery. It comes and goes, though definitely alcohol associated.

It's not your liver, it's your gallbladder. Worst case scenario you'll get severe gallstone attacks after heavy drinking/eating fatty foods and eventually have it removed surgically, though many people live with gallstone problems all their lives without surgery.

If you're obese or have lots lots of weight in the past and gained some back those are also big risk factors. But nothing to panic about.

I'm not sure at all. I was drinking tons for about a year. I got a DUI and got 2 years probation in which I didn't drink at all and on an unrelated case pertaining to >>273238 I went to the doctor for a blood test and he said I had fatty liver and this was a year and a half after I stopped drinking. So idk getting probation probably saved my life.

If it really is your liver i wouldn't chalk it up to gall stone pain.

u mite need to stop drinking for a while.

you're 22 so i doubt it.

unfortunately the only thing that will tell you for sure is expensive medical tests.
