What's the best bottom shelf Vodka you can get in America? Doesn't need to be the cheapest just the best tasting in the cheap range.

Vodka is vodka to bo honest. Don't see a reason why there would be a great difference between a "high shelf" vodka and a "bottom shelf", exept for the snobbery and the false sense of feeling like you're some sort of "big shot baller".

Sort of but I have noticed that some are sweet and gross while others seem dry and made with respect.

Good vodka has no taste and doesn't give too bad a hangover if you chase it with water. Bottom shelf vodka tastes like rubbing alcohol and makes you feel like you got gangraped by a football team the next morning. Skol gave me the worst hangover of my life like seven years ago, nothing else has ever come close.

Not exactly bottomshelf, but I found a handle of Platinum 7x for $19 even with my state's shitty liquor laws. Tastes like water.

this. there is a serious taste difference between bottom shelf and good vodka. top shelf is a rip off but bottom shelf is truly awful. to make perfect vodka all you have to do is distill the shit out of it, which isn't rocket science but somehow the ultra-cheap brands fuck this up, i suspect by using bulk quantities of industrial ethanol and doing the bare minimum to make it "safe" to drink. seriously aristocrat and the like have a distinct hand sanitizer taste.

go with sobieski, three olives, stolichnaya, etc. luksosowa is also good but is potato-based and might seem weird if you like 'normal' vodka that's usually made with rye.

general rule is, the more times it claims to have been distilled, the worse and worse it will get. if you're dead set on bottom shelf, test them out yourself. otherwise get stoli, three olives, and if you're feeling fancy russian standard

I don't now in America, but in Brasil we usually get Corote, which is basically cheap as fuck vodka, and we toss in some of those juices that come in powder.

I don't know about best but at the grocery store down the street they have this Prestige shit for 10 dollars a handle, tastes like straight rubbing alcohol (which I have drunk in desperation) but you can't beat that price

Taaka is the best cheap vodka. It doesn't taste like shit like Mr Boston or whatever. You can't taste it at all. I've done my research and come to this conclusion.

New Amsterdam is on the cheaper side but respectable. Taste like good vodka, but the price is right. I think a 750 ml is about 13 dollars round these parts? Idk I will spend more money for better liquor, but I get NA when Iā€™m feeling cheap

Crystal Palace can be kind of grim but mixes easily enough. Svedka's close in price to bottom shelf stuff and is good for shooting. Russian Standard and Stoli are good for a bit more expensive imports, as are Luksosowa and Monopolowa for potato vodkas. Stay away from Skol, Five O'Clock, and Mr. Boston. Taaka's okay
