Hello /fo/, I'm looking for documentaries pertaining to survivalists, nomads, vagabonds, people living off the grid.

I'm watching Catching Out at the moment which is quite good.

I also recommend this, American Nomad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzSQvamSfa4

And Dark Days: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Days_(film)

It's been a while since I watched it, but I'm fairly sure the guy knew what he was doing. What he hadn't accounted for was how soul destroying absolute solitude, combined with a poor diet and being in an unfamiliar landscape, can be.

Chris knew what he was doing, in the southwest. He never had any practice in Alaska. That is the biggest mistake he made. Not knowing how to handle the moose was the second(part of the first), not picking a better shelter was the third(part of the first), not going to the cable crossing was the fourth, and the fifth was the potential poisoning(part of the first).

He would have been fine if he never went more north than Seattle. If he stayed in the sourthwest, he would have been just dandy.
