Guys I don’t think I should be posting here because I fear he might find out that I’m talking about us but I just can’t take it anymore. My boyfriend of 2 years was the sweetest caring guy I could ever meet but his personality has totally changed that I can’t believe he is the same person! He’s become so controlling and abusive, he is constantly yelling at me and frequently hits me and even beats me to the point where I have nasty bruises on my body. I don’t know who to turn to because my family has rejected me because of me being gay and most of my friends have abandoned me because they can’t stand my boyfriend! What should I do, I’m getting really scared that one day he will beat me to death but I’m too afraid to leave him…

I'm assuming defending yourself is out of the question? Either because of his stature or ability. You need to get away from him. Maybe switch locations and cut contact. Just get away. If you have people who can help you, get help. Tell them what's going on. Keep yourself safe.

Sounds like you need to distance yourself from your boy-beater permanent-style. Just remember that when these kinds of relationships turn sour, you can't repair them and you can't salvage the abusive partner. Find a means to discreetly separate from the guy in one quick action while they aren't looking, if you live with them, pack up and leave (quickly and quietly) but don't let them notice what's going on until you're safely out of that situation living with people you trust.

Being beaten and hit should have been the first red flag to escape, take your chance to leave while you still have it.

Is your abusive post-boyfriend for or against your apparent furryism?

I hope you had the chance to do some internet research into >>133331 's suggestion, they seem to have the most decent advice in the thread so far. I apologize that I don't know how to be more helpful.

No offense folks but this thread is ancient now, OP is long gone, if they were ever real to begin with.

Op here, sorry I took so long to get back to you guys. Things were really getting hectic around the house but I am no longer with my ex-bf.

He finally took it too far and in a fit of rage broke my nose and arm which left me running out of the house in terror. Luckily the neighbors called the police and I told them what happened. After that I broke things off with him and got a restraining order placed so that he would stay away. Currently I'm living with my grandmother and thank goodness he doesn't know where she lives.

I feel so fucking stupid for putting up with his crap for so so long but I really thought I loved him! In the beginning he made me feel so good and loved but then he showed his dark side, a side I never thought he had...

Huh, didn't think you'd show yourself again. Glad to hear you're still alive. IMO, it's a good idea to spend enough time around somebody to see their ugly-side before getting too attached to them or whatever they may be offering.

Some people's ugly sides aren't very ugly and are very tolerable, others literally only have an ugly side and are psychopaths who only barely hide it when in public. I'd recommend being more cautious with who you get close to in the future, and always have a planned way out if you're surprised with somebody turning sour.
