No it happens without cocaine just not as bad.

Actually got stopped and searched by the police a few weeks ago because they thought I was coked up when I was just drunk.

some habits are worse than others....I dont really consider myself an alcoholic as I dont really drink that much at once....but lately my bad habit has been waking up (around 10am) and slugging back half a bottle of Rokk vodka...what are some of your bad/embarassing habits hooch?

so here I am again, drunk aat precisely 12:53. I happen to have some dank nugs so I'm not so horribly a mess but the combination of chugging vodka and drinking a mix of gin and tea to chase has my head quite bobbly sitting on my shoulders...I am an alcoholic because there are truths to me that sometimes I don't want to be aware of...when I drink I receive fleeting clarity.
I sit here listening to King Crimson's "Starless & Bible Black" on a sunny NY day and things are much strange with the Boston bombings on people's minds....people die everyday but usually not in such gruesome public fashions. I hope the sun is finding you all crisp and alert today.

i went 3 years of drinking every day. a 12 pack after work was common and expected, on the weekends id try and not push past 18 but that was usually accomplished by just sleeping more as im bored when im not drunk (even still)

it took me getting sick (the real kind you know like the flu) and not being able to stomach shit for 2 days to realize im not an alcoholic im just drinking because i feel like i need too. sense then i stopped drinking on the weekdays and by my self (for the most part) its been about 6 or 7 weeks now. what im saying is, you'll snap outa it when you realize the booze doesnt do anything but make you even more melancholy. good luck and i hope its sooner then latter

Just returned from a trip to England.

Why are pub's so much better than american bars ? They're classier, the people are much nicer, and it just isn't depressing.

Depends. Is it a student pub with incredibly loud music and sticky floors, with people jam packed in and £1 pints, or is it a quiet place with a fire, some soft music, a friendly barman and £3.50 pints?

You have to pay for the nice places.

Bars are different all over depending on the culture. Like in the US, you can find those kinds of bars in working class places. It's whatever the culture is around drinking.

The American bars you are talking about are social. People get dressed up to go to the bar and fuck. In England, working class places in the US, and Australia (where I live), people just go to bars pretty much every day. They go after work.

Like where I live, you finish work and then go to the bar for a couple of hours and hang out with your friends and get some beers. You don't have to get dressed up in a pin-stripe shirt and try to fuck everyone.

You can do that too, but I think that's the major difference you are talking about.

You can find those kinds of bars in the US. They're everywhere.

Someone said neighborhood bars. That's where you need to go. I lived in Japan for a while, and I found neighborhood bars like that too. Tiny places where the same guys drank every day. It's mostly a working class thing. It's a social hub like someone else said. There are plenty of binge-drinking arsehole-magnet bars in the UK too.

Hey,

I mixed some Amaretto with Vodka in a bottle a week ago, didn't finish it and in my drunken state forgot to put the cap back on then.

The amaretto bottle itself was easily a year and a half old and already opened, although it remained tightly closed during that time.

I'm pretty sure this should still be good to drink, right?

Thanks bros

I want to go out and buy a decent bottle of whiskey tonight. I always seem to pick out
either Beam or Jack but I want to try something different.

What are your favorites? I'm trying to develop a taste for all different kinds.
>>
William Blidgestock - Tue, 16 Apr 2013 19:02:57 EST ID:8QDdnQeB No.214462 Ignore Report Quick Reply
If you want something similar but better try Knob Creek (Beam) or George Dickel No. 12 (Tennessee).

For Irish whiskey I prefer Bushmills, especially Bushmills Black Bush.

Good cheap/starter single malts are Aberlour and Bowmore. Some people like Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, but I find them really bland. Blended scotch I usually go for Islay Mist or Teachers.

So far my favorite has been Woodford Reserve. Really smooth, really rich. Total comfort whiskey.

On the hand of having a bit more bite, I recently picked up a bottle of Makers Mark 46 that has a lovely lil' nip to it to wake ya up. I'd offer more suggestions, but I'm still trying bottles out and haven't gotten TOO far.

Laphroaig is my favourite drink, although I usually go for the quarter cask version because it's cheaper here. Also peated whisky in my experience is better younger, aging removes some of the smoke flavour.

If you like it, also look for Port Charlotte and Ardbeg.

I didn't say he should start with Laphroaig, I hated peated whisky at first. I started with bourbon & rye, mixing the first couple bottles with various soda before I could drink them straight.

I never said he had to go all out at first, just to avoid mixing sugar with more sugar.

Hey friends,

My favourite drinking games are King's Cup, beer pong, and flip cup. I usually use macros because we end up drinking a lot of beer.

Today I'm going to try something different. I've come across a game called power hour, where you take one shot of beer every minute for an hour. I've never played it before and it doesn't seem very difficult.

I've picked up two 6 packs of Flying Monkey's Hoptical Illusion Almost Pale Ale for the event. I'll keep you updated.

I challenge anyone who has the means to compete against me in this game tonight, or when they see this post. Be sure to record at what minute you lose the game.

at my old job sometimes this older guy would go get a 6 pack for lunch and slam it within the hour to get ripped, one day I tried that, it was a lot harder than he made it look but it is doable, I mean it was just a lot of liquid that I wasn't that motivated to force drink was the only issue

so I think maybe the 1 shot per minute thing could help with that issue

I think you're looking at like 8 beers in 1 hour which should get you pretty fucking lit
