Personally I'd say don't buy 'Bitcoin' - it's outdated ALREADY.
Get behind something with strong developers and a robust set of features that has no premine and is fully commited to decentralisation

Basically that means - Stay away from Ripple and Stellar as far as you possibly can and buy Ethereum or maybe even Verge
