You know what this world reminds me of? The Jim Jones suicide cult. That's what I think this has all come to. I think you all will drink the cool-aid, and go along with the censorship, and they'll take away all of your rights but you'll all be too afraid to do anything. And you'll end up taking the cool-aid beause (well jeeze, everyone else is doing it! They're gunna make me do it anyways, I practically have to!) You're all the type of people to get herded into a gas chamber when there's only 20 guards. Because the most important thing is people control everyones mind through fear, even though the ruling elite is always a minority, they control people through their base instincts and make them lambs for the slaughter. I can see you all for what you are.

Keep reading buzz-feed and listening to CNN, they're leading up to something truly epic!

Post your youtube channel if you have one (and if it has anything to do with music).

Also, what is the best platform to have your music at? I used bandcamp and soundcloud, but I feel like these platforms are a bit too circlejerky between musicians and that you can't really reach the actual people on them. I decided to put my newest stuff on youtube since it's the platform that everybody is so used to and feels more natural, but I don't know if it's the best place to put my stuff.

Is there any social media popular musician in here? Can you share a few tips about how to promote your shit without being obnoxious?

I like YouTube over SoundCloud because I don't have to pay to have infinite upload space, so it's good for random throw away tracks that don't fit anywhere or are just for shits and giggles that you don't necessarily want on your more """"""serious""""" bandcamp page. I like Bandcamp still because of it's organization, and it's good for more polished, complete things like EPs or albums, but I kinda know what you mean about the musician circlejerk thing. But for anyone moderately successful with their music, bandcamp seems to definitely be much more than that.

You didn't post yours btw.

Hey, what up, thermo? It's Totty/TPG here. Damn, you can make and play some mean breakbeats, man. I also roflmao'd at "shon audio engineer" although I didn't even know about this podcast until now. You've been making stuff for this podcast?

I've been planning a new game: Mary Jane & Keef in so high on salvia they forgot how to walk. It's gonna be a little like octodad but with maryjane the dog rolling around. Anyway, when I get something done I'm gonna hit you up. Maybe you won't need to make anything new, since there's stuff on your bandcamp that's perfect for Mary Jane & Keef in so high on salvia they forgot how to walk (the title is a work in progress too).

Oh yeah, and here's my youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCw18_ZMvfuyTXFJE_QBBd8A
You've seen it before, but it's full of pretentious academic stuff now because I'm an academic boi. I'm eventually gonna go back to my electronic roots, I guess.

Oh shit, hey man!
That's awesome, go ahead and use any of my music but if you want new tracks I'll be up for it. The first game was fun to make music for. I look forward to seeing this sequel. The nature of the games give ample opportunity for fun experimentation music AND gameplay-wise.

I'm looking for songs Similar to this. I'm not talking about the genre or era but more like the tempo and pacing... the way it feels.... kinda epic sounding, kinda "cool"... I know I'm not explaining it well, but maybe someone will feel what I'm talking about and have some suggestions. I've added a few examples here:

They gave us this link as an "extra" study thing. https://cycling74.com/tutorials/a-few-minutes-with-beap-tutorial-series/ i hope it helps?

My drumbrute impact came in today! I've been spending the last few hours getting to know it, and it already blows my Rhythm Wolf and Tom Cat out of the water. I'm still waiting on my PO-20 as well so I can start working on this chiptune EP for real!

I loved Camo and Krooked, Truth and Krafty Kuts but everyone was so good. It was my third year and as much as I love Shambs I may try Bass Coast next year.

Eh, I love punk and I love folk but I don't like folk punk, the Pogues excluded. I also don't like this tendency that people have to conflate folk with folk punk.

Case in point. This is not folk music. This is punk. Let me post some actual fucking folk music.

I have a party coming up that i don't have a playlist for. God man, its been years since i made a serious playlist. All my music is out of date or too chill for the party. there'll be like 40-50 people. Lotsa random nerds, got no clue what they are into so i guess it's gotta be stuff everyone likes but i got nothing like that.

You guys got any advice for making playlists for parties? it's moving so slowly.

Honestly chill music works. All the uppity people will just be talking over the music anyway. And the recluses will be looking to a refuge to chill.
A bit of dancibility is nice too but you can't force that.

I'd say put of 'chill lofi hip hop beats to study and relax to' while things get warmed up. But leave the device open (unless it's gonna get stolen) someone will eventually change it to whatever the mood is

Also... it's your party. Play your music. Give it your own personal touch. Of you like your music chances are other people will too.. if not. They can pay to go a club and get out of your free ass house

Lmao. I mean say what you want about the end product but all the djs I linked above are doing a lot more than any dj spinning rap I've ever listened to. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Here's my favorite dj set with a lot of rap. It's actually a great party mix, although it has some rough spots and overall the selection isn't quite what I like.
