I have Complex-PTSD. I've been in recovery for 2 years and don't do any drugs. I smoke weed/drink on occasion, but I never do anything else. I'm currently seeing an art therapist and she's great, but I keep hearing about Ecstasy and PTSD.
Does anyone know more about this? Is this just the "Essential Oils" bullshit of the drug community? Do you know anyone who has benefited?

My life is fucking hell man. I've been homeless 3 times in the past 2 years. Everyday is a nightmare. Every day I grab a knife to defend myself when I'm home alone. It sucks. I'm just looking for ANYTHING that can help. Not looking to mask the pain but to overcome it or learn from it you know?

There is legitimate research behind it, but keep in mind it is only done in clinical settings. Getting high on god knows what at a dance party probably won't provide the same benefits. If you're interested, MAPS is recruiting patients for their Phase III trials. I looked into it awhile back and there's a bunch of cities that are participating in this study.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.
