Isolation can provide a cure for insanity if you are allowed access to writing

Think of Thoreau and Malcolm X they didn't deny suffering but they had a place that they came out of while feeling hammered in.

Like becoming familiar with what is esoteric

More seriously, I spent 5 days in solitary confinement in the "glass house" in Los Angeles. I figured about 10 days had passed when they finally let me out.

I think journaling your thoughts daily is a good way to prevent insanity, since you can always review your thoughts to see if you've gone insane.

I toured one of our prisons. Went down death row. Which housed maybe 8 people out of ten cells. Some had been there for decades. No contact except for family behind glass, or video link, these days. Guards to feed them 3 times a day without any real human contact, attorneys, and hour on the yard alone.

I looked at these people, the tour guard gaurd said not to get close to the cells but I did anyway. They were behind glass and an inch of space under the door and less on the sides. I would have liked to talk to these people. They seemed serene, content, maybe even oblivious we were there, without any other way to put it. But there was a certain light in their eyes also. Maybe one of consciousness of
life.,

Just though I'd share. I had been stuck in the system, city jail locked down over 23 hours a day for a week more than once. Just sleep. Look out windows, looking for ideas to get out, thinking will I ever get out. In jail I never really cared to hang out with others, so I just kept myself, sleeping most of the time. Depressed sure. Would rather sleep and spend day and night in a closet at home rather than be in jail.

No Sexual Pleasure - WHY? by Shitting Pucklefatch - Mon, 20 Mar 2017 22:02:57 EST ID:aSgE96/a No.54866 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

I'm a sexually confused, mid-20's male. I don't know what's wrong with me on this one.

I can't seem to enjoy any form of sex - even if I'm with a girl whom I like, who makes me comfortable, is patient and isn't judgmental in the slightest.

E.G. In the case of receiving oral sex, all it will do is tickle me. Great. I could never cum from that, even after hours. Seriously. That's an impossibility.

Self-masturbation doesn't bring me much pleasure either (even as a virgin I already thought it was overrated). I mostly do it to de-stress before bed since I have insomnia, really. I do get a rush of adrenaline towards the end, sometimes, but it's rare. Still, it's still extremely boring towards the whole process leading up to that and not worth the effort (unless it helps put me to me sleep).

What is wrong with me? I feel like turning asexual would be easier at this point. My penis feels pretty much numb whatever the 'activity' is. There's a complete lack of sensation, could it be my actual nerves?

It might have something to do with a diagnosed severe depression I have, although I don't take meds known to cause such issues. Plus, as a teen I didn't have meds either yet already still didn't get what my classmates were on about and didn't enjoy it as much as they did. Again, to me it was 'meh'.

The worst thing is, I do get aroused at first and want to share something with my girl. Yet when it comes down to it my penis goes flaccid inside her vagina, what the heck. I blame it on the condoms making me go soft (for now) but I know that even if it does contribute it can't be just that. My penis is already numb so of course a condom isn't going to help.

Sorry for talking so long about my old chap - as some refer to it. It's been months I thought about posting this, seriously. Some genuine insights could really help me here. I will never be satisfied in my sex life this way, that's for sure. I have to find a solution and if none exists, well... I'll just erase sex from my life.

While it might not be a bad ideal to try. The whole nofap movement is filled with a lot of cultish individuals, and some people with bizarre views on sex. Like the original sub-leddit exists in some sort of alternate reality these days.

Ah, thank you for seeing me at such short notice, Doctor 420.

*sits down*

Well, I'll get right to it. For the past 6 months or so I've had a rash or discolored skin around the base of my penis, both groins, and the entire "mons pubis" area. The border between the normal skin and the discolored skin is quite sharp. It doesn't hurt but sometimes it feels very itchy. Let me just show it to y- oh.... this is a worksafe board you say? I'm sorry

*puts pants back on*

Anyway, I've been to two different doctors about it and they both prescribed antifungal cream. First I had clotrimazole %1 cream, then I was prescribed daktarin/miconazole 2% cream. Neither cream has helped get rid of the problem. I'm guessing it's some kind of "jock itch" but none of the antifungal cream has helped. What would you suggest I try next?

Thanks for your help

see a dermatologist

Eat lots of salads and fruits. Avoid red meat, high "bulking" fiber diets and DON'T SMOKE.

Red meat and bulk fiber are terrible for your digestive system. Smoking and processed red meat are just as bad realistically. Fiber that is a bulking agent in the colon is garbage like cereal and baked beans. Big food companies pay doctors and have advertisements saying you need more fiber but they don't tell you what kind of fiber. You want insoluble fiber like salads, corn and lettuce. Bulk fiber makes your turds the size of bricks and causes colon/bowel issues. Red meat is very difficult to break down by intestinal flora meaning that the movement is extremely slow and the amount of intestinal bacteria dies off or isn't in ample supply as they can't break down the red meat fast enough to supply large numbers. (Which you want.)

I have carpal tunnel and my neurologist gave me a steroid shot in each wrist today. Within an hour my right index finger and thumb had went numb and then my index finger ached and felt like it needed to be popped. A few hours later my left thumb started aching and hasn't stopped. I can barely use it. What the hell? I thought this shit was supposed to help?

Whether taking blood or iv/injections the hands are just not a real good place to poke needles into. Unfortunately. Hopefully it will subside quickly and hopefully the injections are meant to last at least a week. Justa thought, try soaking these in dissolved epsom salts, then rinse and put lotion on them. May sound like BS, but epsom salts can make swelling go down to normal and pain subside and numbness back to normal in mere minutes. At least I found it to be a must to have, even possiblt better than the injections to begin with. I am a believer in
these so-called salts, which is actually magnesium sulfate.

I'm calling my neurologist in the morning, this is not normal. Even with the carpal tunnel they don't normally hurt this much,it's mostly numbness and strange sensations not straight up joint pain.

im tired of posting this. you don't have carpal tunnel, you have two, one in each wrist. the tunnel through your carpal bones. you wrongly think you have carpal tunnel syndrome, when you are almost definitely suffering from lateral epicondylitis. pressure, heat and stretching into the forearm extensor muscles (especially near the lateral epicondyle) will resolve the issue. they are probably impinging the radial and median nerves. stop poking needles into your capsular ligaments you retard, they can barely ever heal, and if they do its always weaker at the injury site

Recent tests came back and I got a reading of 161(IU/L) for ALT and 55(IU/L) for AST.. They've both risen slightly since another test conducted about a month ago... Obviously, this is indicative of some kind of liver damage, and I'm extremely worried because I need dat Liver to metabolize other medications, like Accutane and Estradiol (neither of which I've started, btw, so that's not the cause) How concerned should I be? Is this possibly related to something more transient and less threatening, or am I totally fucked?

The only way you'll really figure out how bad your liver damage is by getting an ultrasound or an endoscopy. I had pain in my liver for a long time after drinking alcohol and I found out I had a mild fatty liver and enlarged liver. I took a break from drinking for 5 months and ate food that helps the liver heal and didn't have much problems since. I did drink beer just recently after abstaining and didn't have any problems. I would take a break from anything like drugs or alcohol and get an ultrasound if you want to know for sure.

I used a solution of KOH on a deep wart once, slid right off, painless.

Of course you don't want to be too liberal with your application of it.

After I exposed the root, I clipped out the infected areas with a cuticle clipper.

You need to be able to prepare the solution though, I used a 20% solution of KOH by weight. Dissolve the KOH/NaOH flakes with hot water.

Anyways, cut out the exposed area, then apply KOH or NaOH with a q tip, little by little. As in dab it on (only on the wart, try not to touch the surrounding skin) let it dry, and do it again. Wipe it with a cloth after a few applications; it should just slide off.

Also wear gloves. Don't get the liquid on your skin. Keep some vinegar ready in case you get it anywhere it shouldn't be.

This is the third time I've experienced this. For two days now after a night of smoking weed from a bong and having some weird breathing and chest tightness issues, I've had some serious chest pain.

It's like a tightness and burning sensation mixed with the occasional sharp pain, but is only noticeable when I take a deep breath or with the vibrations of walking. I cannot take in a deep breath without feeling it.

This is not an everytime-I-smoke kind of thing. I've had this before, but it's been many months since the last time I felt this.

Weirdly, I smoke cigarettes and B&Ms all the time and they cause zero noticeable irritation to my lungs/chest/throat, and never create any lasting tightness like this.

Any ideas about what it could be? It's causing me some serious anxiety.

It's nothing major but before whenever I would curl a moderate weight (20lbs) I would feel pain in my elbow but after the second curl the pain would go away.

Now it seems that whenever I make a fist and do a curl motion with or without weight (hammer curl) I feel a little something in my elbow

Is this tendonitis? What can I do to remedy this??

Any of you bastards ever get a tiny flake of metal in your eye? Did you get it removed or did it eventually wash out? Did you have any lasting problems?

I did yesterday and it's a bit worrying. Fortunately it didn't stab into the eyeball; it's just on the surface. I can't feel it most of the time, but I've heard that pain and redness can occur after you sleep and the metal has a chance to shift around and scrape along the eyeball. I'll go to the doctor if there's any irritation after I wake up.

scratched like crazy. Get some pain stuffs, save unused ones for later. if you
have something ibuprophen doesn't handle.

Yea, had something pretty sharp in my ete. Each time I moved my eye my eye would involentarilly jump around like crazy, making it worse and hurt from very bad to very extreme.

Went to er, the nurse was nice, very cute and comfortable to be 'mostly' alone with, as she was petty darn cool,,

OH anyway, she put drops in my eyes to numb them, instant no pain, then some drops to highlight foreign objects and see damage to the eyes. With a certain light, seemed kinda reddish? Anyway nothing was found but there were a few or some pretty deep scratches, and a lot of scratches going every which direction.

SO off I went with an annoying hospital horror movie looking eye patch that was metal guarding the eye and the stuffing to keep my eye, eyelids from coming in contact with anything. Said two weeks, (two weeks) eh,
after a two days it was soo annoying, 3 days took it off and it was like nothing ever damaged them.

Soo, good luck.

Twice. Once from welding and once from an angle grinder. Even with a face mask and eye wear. Goggles that seal around the eye are the only effective way to prevent it. Both FUCKING SUCKED. I didn't have to get either medically/surgically removed thank god but shit fucking sucks. I washed my eyes for about 20 minutes straight. Both were very small pieces and round so they came out.

Sleeping usually gets shit out of your eye but it can really fuck it up too. Not sure what to tell you broseph.

Thanks guys; I forgot about this thread for a while. A coworker could see the metal in my lower eyelid and removed it easily the day after I made this thread. The irritation went away pretty fast with some eyedrops. A week later I mentioned it to the doctor at a routine checkup, he didn't see any scratches, and he said there's nothing to worry about as long the metal doesn't actually enter the eyeball.
