Meh, this one kinda blows. Considering the rest of that guy's letter contained proper grammar it seems pretty obvious that autocorrect screwed up his use of "here". This Grammar Slam gimmick works better when there are multiple errors in a short form piece, not like a letter with a single error.

What a fucking cavalcade of clowns his lawyers are. So does this permanently diffuse the legend and legitimacy of Anderson Silva? Does it make you wonder if he used PED's in the past and just didn't get popped due to the easily-exploitable drug testing policies? Also, what would you consider a bigger fall from grace: Anderson Silva losing twice to Chris "Whitebread" Weidman and then getting popped for roids in his comeback fight or Fedor Emelianenko getting his shit pushed in in three straight fights in Strikeforce? Both turns of events seemed to have turned out disastrous for both fighters' legacies.

He knowingly broke the rules, and has repeatedly done it. They are doing the right thing by punishing by breaking it, especially since it has been shown that more lenient punishments have no effect on him. I know this is 420Chan so everyone's supposed to be all DUDE WEED LMAO XD but he knows that he isn't supposed to test positive for weed and it's up to them to make sure he doesn't. If a 1 year ban wasn't enough then maybe a 5 year ban will be. He's lucky he didn't get a lifetime ban since that's what I think he deserves. If you're going to repeatedly and knowingly break rules then you're disrespecting both the UFC and the other fighters that abide by those rules, and shouldn't be given any opportunities since he's shown no sign of rehabilitation.

Fuck the UFC. You know what, fuck you too. You think the UFC gives a shit if their fighters smoke weed? You think other fighters give a shit? You think the fans care? You think ANYONE besides the NSAC gives a shit if a fighter smokes weed a few days before a fight? This bullshit overkill punishment was because those cocksuckers felt like he wasn't respecting them and that's it.
>He's lucky he didn't get a lifetime ban since that's what I think he deserves.
And you can eat shit since that's what I think you deserve. Vitor Belfort failed for steroids for the second time in 2014 and didn't even get a fine and was granted a license anyway and STILL had suspiciously high testosterone levels after fighting Weidman back in may. But yeah, Diaz deserves a five year suspension for failing for weed a 3rd time, suuure. Fuck your stupid opinion and fuck the NSAC.

where are the guidelines that say what diaz did constitutes a 5 year ban? if diaz cares enough (and had the money), he can go to a judge and it will get overturned, because the commission can't just pull numbers out of their ass like that, even in light of the issues with with the 3 different test results.

hell, the NFL players union gave Goddell the power to do just that and Brady's suspension STILL got overturned.

Also, if UFC never wants to contract diaz again, that's their prerogative, with or without a ban from NSAC. MMA is more than just UFC.

http://hitbox.tv/irmstream - Tonight 9/13, Prelims @ 7:30pm ET, Main Card @ 8pm ET
(Possibly streamed in the Taima channel too, I was told?)

TLDR version: It's a parody MMA show called HCL (Human Cockfighting League) created using UFC Undisputed 3. It started in 2012, and is a pre-produced show with all fictional fighters presented with live commentary.

HYPE VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqpAfBp0koI
FULL CAR http://hcl.wikia.com/wiki/HCL_44

The unlikely challenger, former children's TV host turned full-time paint huffer Pappy Goulash tore through the competition since his debut. Now he's earned a shot at the scrappy 2-time champion, Teddy Grabowski, who has turned old-timey boxing into a successful style inside the octagon-like structure.

Plus much more, including a fight to determine be the next challenger to the HCL Welterweight Title, as well as kick off the next HCL Heavyweight Contender Tournament with two big semifinals.

MAIN EVENT FOR THE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE - Teddy Grabowski (c) vs Pappy Goulash

Again Toquinho the mental dwarf cranked the submission long enough to force the (shitty) ref to repeatedly intervene, and Jake Shields got some sweet eye poke justice for all the dirty eye pokes and face raking he did in UFC. Mazzagatti is so bad at this he didn't deduct any points even after the 3rd eye gouge.

You're retarded. There's nothing to see here. It's just a coincidence that the champions and contenders are also the most marketable, and that fights are sometimes simply amateur or seemingly fixed. Go back to your homes.

>None of the match ups are in any way related to skill, wins/losses or anything competition related
All you have to do is look at the history of the UFC to see you have no idea what you're saying. You don't even need to watch the fights you can literally look up the numbers. Go look up the records of every contender, every champion, and you'll see a pattern. They're winning before they get a title fight and to hold onto the belt they have to continue to win.

Maybe one or two guys in the history of the UFC have gotten a title shot after a loss, the only one I can think of right now would be Nick Diaz after he lost to Carlos Condit then faced GSP.

The thing is it doesn't matter how marketable they are if they can't win fights. Being a fan favorite can carry them for a while but it always comes back to winning if they're going to get in the top 5 and get a title fight. You can be the most marketable guy ever but if you lose too many fights you're looking at getting cut.

Even if Dana just gives them a title fight(which doesn't happen if they're not winning) they still have to win to get the belt and continue to win to hold onto it.

Guys who win fights are marketable. Its the same as boxing everyone wants to see the guys who are undefeated. They can market anyone who is winning. Yeah there's occasionally guys like Jon Fitch who won a lot and literally nobody wants to see them fight but I can really only think of a couple times that has happened.

Sonnen loses to Spider for the belt, then moves up to a weight that he hasn't fought at in 8 years and challenges Jones for the belt, all because Sonnen cut a promo on Jones - and yes, I'm using wrestling terminology on purpose.

Dave Meltzer has said Dana would rather have a guy like McGregor, who is media friendly, be the champ than Aldo...

Exactly, remember next time you see some guy just appear out of nowhere for the belt because of celebrity remember the UFC literally has over 500 fighters signed, that's a lot of people gritting it out in the trenches who are unknowns who worked their way to a championship (and finally the chance to make some real money) who will be pissed Johnny Media Shit-talker parachutes in and takes their chance at the belt.

mfw there are people who actually paid just to see that fight.

>>what is no striking defense?

No way would that have happened against Holm or Cyborg. No way.

Eventually though, as fun as it is to see these 30 second webm's the UFC is gonna have to do something about it because people will start wanting more. Like that episode of the Simpsons when Homer becomes a professional boxer.

I guess everyone better start getting hyped for Ronda-Tate 3.

UFC still pays Rousey shit. Weidman get's $490,000 per fight just to win/show and Rousey is $120k. Either Rousey has a lucrative back end deal with PPV commissions or she's just getting screwed.

Huh, I thought Rousey was getting $500,000 per fight, but I guess that must've been after PPV and gate cuts.

For Ronda's fight vs Zingano at 184, it looks like according to the California athletic commission, Rousey was paid 130k, including her bonus (cat got 100k and would have gotten another 100k if she won...), but then UFC claims she got over $1 million based on the ppy buys.

Interesting that Cat's base pay was so much more, considering Rousey's seniority in both MMA and UFC. I guess Rousey just negotiated a deal to get less base pay, but a bigger PPV cut.
