It's the 2nd half premiere of what will now be Futurama's final season unless Adult Swim or Netflix picks it up that is with back-to-back episodes tomorrow night at 10pm ET. If you don't already know what the "series finale" will be, it's gonna be Fry and Leela's wedding.

I just gotta say, tyler the creator is a horrible rapper. the only people who like him are stoner white kids who are too fringe to listen to real rap music....so pretty much the same as ICP...only somehow Odd Future manage to be even more white than ICP, who are actually white. Go figure.

I feel like Nolan approached this exactly the same way he approached Batmaj, with weird results. I liked the film, and I actually thought the guy who played superman did a great job of capturing the character.
Anyway, the plot to this movie was we have a comic book protagonist getting a movie. He looses his parents, but not completely Batman gets to keep his money, Superman gets some weird living record of his people. But those similarities are built into the characters so nolan gets a pass. Anyway it's an origin story too, so we see them grow a raggedy beard and traveling the world until they find proper guidence, and then disapear again. Then they have to fight the villain, who isn't their best know villain because they're going to save them for the sequel. Finally we find out that the villians plans is to blow everything up, so the hero has to blow up the thing that's going to blow up. Anyway I'm actually kind of pumped because if this move was batman begins, the next movie could be Superman's The Dark Knight (stay away from those sleep meds, whoever plays Lex Luthor.)

The second half of season 5 premiers on August 11. May be a bit early to be getting ourselves all worked up, but whatever. I began rewatching the series, and I can't help myself. Anywho...

HERE'S SOME BULLSHIT I FOUND ON WIKIPEDIA!

On continuing the storyline:

>In April 2013, it was revealed that AMC and Sony are interested in a potential spin-off series that would focus on Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), with Gilligan and series writer Peter Gould developing the project. Gilligan had previously hinted at a possible spin-off series focused on Saul Goodman in July 2012.

On a Spanish-language remake:

>After several days of speculation fueled by Univision,[91] on March 13, 2013, Sony confirmed that it would be making a Spanish-language remake of Breaking Bad entitled Metástasis starring Diego Trujillo as Walter Blanco (Walter White) and Roberto Urbina as Jose Miguel Rosas (Jesse Pinkman), alongside Sandra Reyes and Julián Arango in unnamed roles.

Is it just me, or does this spanish remake sound retarded? I mean, it could be decent, but there's just no way they could capture the same magic.

I have a question about the 4th to 5th doctor regeneration.
In the episode Logopolis a figure in white appears occasionally, at the end of the episode we find out that the white figure was the doctor, and then they meld together and become the 5th doctor

How is that possible? did I just miss some important dialog.
I unno, anyone who's watched classic who know the answer. I've looked around a bit and wasn't able to see anything explaining it.

Also so far I'm on the 6th doctor and 4 is by far my favorite with 2 and 3 as close runners up.

>Tegan is the worst companion of all time

That feel when named after the worst companion of all time.

Yeah, they do good at dressing their Doctors. Loved in the recent series when Smith had that purple suit. It seemed... fitting. Peri wasn't terrible, she just drew the short straw on good Doctors.

Your name is Tegan? Fuck, that is unfortunate. She was the whiniest companion to date, it was terrible. Nyssa and the Doctor would always seem so fed up with Tegan's shit. Like, Nyssa would be struggling to lift something and ask Tegan for help, and Tegan would respond "Why?"

He sees people get killed around him every episode and in many cases is directly or indirectly responsible for their deaths. I'd imagine he's a bit desensitized. In fact Tegan calls him out on being surrounded by death in Resurrection of the Daleks, in which there are 59 deaths: http://youtu.be/yHjr4JusPA8

I think 6 had some good moments though. He certainly had the outer shell of being an arrogant dickhead but it did occasionally break down to show he was a good person underneath, like calling the Time Lords out on trying to kill all life on Earth then throwing it halfway across the galaxy to hide their own secrets. According to Colin Baker he was directed to act really rude and obnoxious at the start and have the shell break down to show his goodness over time, since he was told he'd be getting at least 5 seasons with the show and possibly more than 7. Of course the head of the BBC saw it differently and fired him after 2 so we never saw that evolution. If you find the 6th Doctor audioplays though he definitely shows it in them.

I keep hearing about his Big Finish stories being really cool. Once I finish the final season of the 8th Doctor I should check those out. Also I hear Tom Baker's 2nd BF season has started so I should get on that, love that he finally started doing audios, his first season was all Leela stories so it was amazing, forget who season 2 is supposed to be with.

I agree about the 6th Doctor. Much maligned. I think sensibilities were different back in the 80s, perhaps they weren't ready for an edgy doctor, but frankly if you were 900 years old, had traveled all space and time you'd probably be pretty short with an American bimbo who kept getting herself kidnapped. Plus the fact the stories themselves were darker than before. I really think that series 22 had some of the best the show ever did, a personal favourite being Vengance on Varos. The 23rd had an interesting concept, major spolier in case no one has watched it 30 years on, which i am kind of sad got lost in the reboot, it would have been a rich avenue to explore.

His whole planned personality evolution was ambitious writing at the time, they just botched the execution of it.
