Chance, the show I hate but can't stop watching. by Walter Bishop - Mon, 12 Dec 2016 20:12:15 EST ID:9OcKzN0i No.376676 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

I can't be the only one. I hate this show so much, but can't stop watching. Only character I have any affection for is D. Everyone else deserves a bullet. Especially Jackelin....I fucking hate the characters god damn guts. What really pisses me off about the character Chance, is that he is such a fucking pussy and every problem in the show is directly connected to his pussitude. I especially raged extra fucking hard when he didn't just kill the dirty scumbag cop or at least let D do it.. And I also had a bout of fury when Chance couldn't tell that that bitch cunt Jackelin is not worth a dried out old shit.

But there's something about it that I can't stop watching. I rage every episode, and I hate the characters so much....I think I just want to watch them get their comeuppance.

>O noes boo hoos every1 i luv is suffering bcuz I'm 2 pussy 2 do shit

So I guess this is a hate watch thread? I suppose I feel that way when it comes to The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead sometimes since there's some stupid shit both show's groups get themselves into that makes me facepalm.

Also I figured what it was gonna turn out to be as soon as I saw Hugh Laurie's name. Plus there's much better shows on Hulu than Chance like Casual and The Path.

Ya I'm just hate watching the shit out of the walking dead.

I get stuck watching a couple shows I have grown to hate because my girl likes them. Agents of shield is one of those. It bores the shit out of me at this point. I can not bring myself to give a single fuck about any of the characters anymore.

Any of you catch the IGN live cast of the premiere?
Shits good!
Ash's vacation is over now as Ruby sends dedites to draw him back to his hometown where he's an outcast for what he did in the cabin almost thirty years ago.
Now for some serious none summary spoilers
Seems like Ruby and the Ash team are joining forces to find the necronomicon. Pablo is gonna have to deal with becoming a brujo or being possesed by the book or whatever is fucking going on. And Kelly might try to usurp Ash.

I'm pretty pumped for this season.

Too bad the showrunner just left because producers didn;t like him adding all the comedic scenes. He apparently had to fight his ass for the colon scene and literally every other funny moment this season

Hah, yeah the argument he seemed to have with the producer was something a lot of Evil Dead fans have.

Really, it's about what you enjoyed more, Evil Dead 1 or 2. It would have been nice if they found common ground because it can be goofy and serious.

It's going to be a damn shame if they take of the goofiness.

The new show runner produced some Battlestar Galactica and Dared Devil, so I am curious what direction the show takes.

Thats sad, the action, gore and suspense is great, but what really completes the show is the one liners and cheesy jokes. Considering that Bruce Campbell is getting on in age now, I don't think he can carry the show without the great humorous writing.
Peter Griffin - Tue, 13 Dec 2016 13:17:56 EST ID:jzRqGgBn No.376705 Ignore Report Quick Reply
that's fucking tragic. holy shit that ending would have been a god damn legend. and now not only did it never happen, but the show is in the hands of a man who actually wants Evil Dead to take itself seriously AND didn't want one of the best sequences of the show so far to happen either. that really fucking sucks. especially because it seems like the conflict between them might be what gave the show such a perfect balance of comedy and terror so far. if you go all terror, it's not Evil Dead.

I'm gonna stay optimistic about season 3 because I love this show so much, but shifting it to a more serious tone would be a terrible mistake.

I liked the finale though to be honest, I felt like it was too neatly wrapped up with Ash sending Baal and the book back to hell, Pablo being resurrected, and then being celebrated by Elk Grove as a hero. I think it was the weakest episode of the season. Aside from that I will say that Ash's fights with Henrietta (man that breast milk scene was gross) and Baal were awesome and Ash once again has saved the world from evil, for now.

I thought what made this season so great was how well balanced the comedy and horror aspects were along with a much better focus on the storyline. But man after reading that interview and what could have been, I feel so let down that all the build up towards the finale was just thrown away. It really sucks knowing that what it could have been because Craig's idea for the finale was way fucking better than what we ended up getting. Kelly being Ash's daughter after he fucked her mom back in the 80s would have been a funny yet good twist. I'm not going to be surprised if next season won't be of the same quality as this season was.

Wasnt the title of the episode "the end of serialisation" or something?

Maybe they realise that even with the dark weeks they can still get caught up, like with the whole bill clinton first gentleman thing which did not work at all, but wouldve worked had hillary won.

who knows where they will go. to be fair, i quite enjoy the serialisation, it gives south park a new flavour, the show relies more on canon when its a solid story. Im sure if anything they will pick up with the member berries next season. maybe they had something else planned and the election of garrison just screwed over their plans so much they had came to rely more heavily on the trolltrace arc. Because the member berry arc was pretty much immeditly dropped after the garrison election episode, they had randy getting ready to do something, they had so much setup for member berries that they didnt use at all.

maybe it'll be like "member when each week was a different story?" and that'll be the serial next season :p

So I still can't figure out how to do spoilers without fucking it up so I'm just gonna have to be vague, actually the Vague Plague was my nickname at fat camp because I was silent and deadly because spheres are the stealthiest of shapes.

Speaking of spheres one of the scenes needs two NASA astronauts to explain a wormhole with a folded piece of paper, NASA "we spend your tax dollars."

So the emotional parts of the movie with the time dilation were great like when the murph and gone dust on the floor stuff the space part was great no sound, the movies biggest flaw honestly is that it really is trying to ground itself in real science so much that it's pretty goddamn confusing and dense.

They keep on going to places and drama happens shits going down on earth with corn, there hasn't been a movie since Signs that had this big of a boner for corn.

I really liked the trippy fat out shit at the end, time is physical not ethereal shit was great

The 7-11 robot didn't chuck a can of soda at anyone's nuts so that was disappointing.

Mad Matt Mcconaughey's voice sounds like he IS the aids victim from Dallas Buyers Club and I hear Jeto Leto voiced the black hole during the silent space scenes.

Very 2001y and one of the best new sci-fi movies I've seen in a while.

Well the original 2001 book already overly spoiled the monolith. Most people say the book was too detailed and ruined the mystery of the movie by going into extreme detail. The sequel books more fail to add anything at all or yield any cool plot points. From the author behind Childhood's End, I expected the 2001 sequels to at least be trippy and weird, but they were dull and plodding.

didnt really mention this one since its coauthored from 2003 to iirc 2008?

it goes into Prometheus territory but with like dune aspects and alternate realities.
as a whole from 2001 to the final novel called firstborn, personally i really liked how it all fits together .....although take that with a grain of salt since i still read dragonlance books .

also come to think of it Rendezvous with Rama was the larger influence on interstellar

I watched this last night and while I liked it, I felt like the part where Cooper entered the terrasect and being revealed as the ghost that Murph talked about communicating with her from the beyond in the fifth dimension so that he could communicate the quantum data she needed to solve the gravitational equation was such a plot contrivance and convenient for Cooper to get back home. Still like The Martian and Moon better though.

I used to have this site that'd upload amazing films everyday. It was really cool not only because it provided actually HD films with subttiles, but also they were mostly really odd/lesser known foreign films, some were really bad and boring, some were amazing jems and it almost didn't display any hollywood film.

I'm looking for cool film blogs that doesn't focus on hollywood films (I don't care if it reviews some hollywood films, but it should aim for a wider spectrum). Facebook pages are also cool. Some film magazine would also be cool.

So I just got BBC America on Vue recently and I hadn't watched the channel in about 6 or 7 years, but why the hell do they just air Star Trek:TNG about 20 hours a day? Don't get me wrong, TNG is pretty rad, but 20 hours every single day is overkill. Why doesn't BBC America air any BBC series throughout the day?

I wanna say it was last Summer but I watched a fuckload of classic Doctor Who on BBC America while visiting my folks. (I can never remember which one he was, it was the guy with all the bitchin scarves). Saw the origin of the Daleks and one kind of meh story about weird plant monsters.

Agree with OP that during Daytime most of the week. It's just a fuckload of TNG. It still beats most daytime programming by a lot though IMO

Yeah I remember that too, they play a shitload of Doctor Who as filler as well, but I think that's mostly when the new season is out. I think it was last summer when they were leading up to the new doctor. I think the doctor you're referring to is Matt Smith.
Honestly though BBC America picks some good shows to use as filler, but the CSI stuff is a bit weird. But for the most part it's a good channel. BBC America, Syfy and the science channel are basically the only three channels I ever watch.

Since mst3k is coming back, I thought we could get a little bit of talk about it going on. Since mst3k, rifftrax and cinematic titantic are all the same family, their all welcome. So while I'm not sure what to expect, these guys have given me a lifetime of good memories. Its mostly one liner but the whole concept, enjoying yourself and talking through the movie. I love that. I've done this with some other mst3ise over years. This series, the vibe its all so chilled.

I can credit so much of my sense of humor, the types of things I dig (b movies) and just so much of my time to mt3k and its spinoffs. And there's no regrets. This series is the stuff of a lifetime. So get in here and share some memories. Or just a few thoughts. There's even a glorious bastard streaming it over on glorious taimatv. It's one of those shows that if it hooks you it really does it. I fucking love this series so much man.

>a lot of the people (patton oswalt, felecia day) have gone through personal issues in a public way on social media and have politicized themselves and made themselves polarizing figures. i know for sure it will be a problem with the new mst3k on netflix. it's probably going to get trolled into oblivion on social media.. and in a way that is a twisted, poetic justice, isn't it? The guys who riffed others movies and works are poised to be themselves the object of harsh riffing and dissecting commentary.

Holy shit I never considered this but with these people on board I see it happening. I'm worried the more I hear about this new show, it does feel like a last ditch sort of thing. But even if its horribble there still will be rifftrax and it'll be solid. And in the end if this is terrible it'll probably settle the age old mike vs joel debate. Its like part of me wants this to be good as a fan and just have more to enjoy. And part of me wonders why we haven't heard like anything from joel in such a long long time. Like he could have done stuff other than mst3k.

But here's to this family of shows. It really isn't for everyone,it takes a good bit of time to watch the eps. Making fun of the movie as it goes (at least for bad movies) is still addictive though. I'm nerveously hoping as a fan for good things out of this new mst3k.. it can't be all bad right ????

As a kid who was fascinated by horror movies but too chickenshit to watch them, MS3TK was my gateway to the genre. Looking back, it did alot of inform my taste in movies and my general affection for schlock. I remember specifically watching the whole Blood Waters of Dr. Z episode, and the Giant Spider Invasion, and I was hooked.

Now that I'm older, I've seen many, many episodes and loved them all, and as an amateur comedian I've even participated in a live MS3TK-style movie-riffing event. We did the whole shebang; watching the movie (The Adventures of Hercules with Lou Ferrigno) six or seven times, writing down all our best jokes, then doing it live in front of an audience. It was a big success; lots of laughs, very relaxed, and a surprising amount of quality ad-libbing.

Honestly though, as time has gone by my tastes have gravitated more towards the Red Letter Media style then MS3TK; I'd rather watch the bad movies without a commentary track, and just make my own watching it with a pal. I'll always come back to those classic MS3TK episodes, though. Mitchell, Werewolf, The Final Sacrifice, Laser Blast, Night of the Blood Beast...

I hope for the best for the new MS3TK and I'll check it out, but it's not gonna break me if the magic isn't there.

MST3K was my bread and butter during my stoner days and I'll always love it for that but the new stuff just isn't doing it for me. Cinematic Titanic is pretty lame and Rifftrax feels more like quantity over quality at this point where most of the riffs run stale after about 15 minutes. There are some good riffs out there but trying to find them in sheer mass of content on that sight is pretty much impossible.

MST3K gets a fair amount of air-time on HrCtube, just sayin'. Also check out these bitchin' custom kicks, I found 'em on ebay but they're too rich for my blood.

This has become pretty big news in the last few days but what is your guys take on it? Where do you think the line should be drawn when it comes to filming scenes like this? Here's the interview for reference - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMl4xCGcdfA

Am I the only person ITT that doesn't speak italian or whatever the fuck the actress speaks in OP's link? I have no idea wtf that woman said. Does she call it rape? Does she just say the scene made her uncomfortable? I feel like this thread is just rape apologist vs. pinkhaired liberal 4 The Thread without anyone being aware of the actual claims being made

This has been public knowledge among movie enthusiast since it was brought up.

The funny thing to me is all these people (actors, directors, etc)
who just now found out about it.

The guy who played Captain America tweeted this:
>I will never look at this film, Bertolucci or Brando the same way again
What a fucking douche. He knows Bertolucci but doesn't know this?
Give me a fucking break.

>This is beyond disgusting. I feel rage.”
This is the type of guy to bring a guitar to a house party and just start playing.
What a fucking douche.

I take some solace in his disgust, now he knows how I feel, as he and his capeshit pals rape our culture.

>"Those who don't know that in film, sex is (almost) always simulated, probably also think that every time John Wayne fires, someone actually dies." - Bernardo Bertolucci

She said it "felt like rape", I would imagine because she was taken advantage for sexually-motivated reasons and probably because Brando actually touched her snizz with a hand covered in butter (if you watch the scene her really gets in-between her crack and considering the nature of the film and when and how it was filmed I doubt she was wearing a patch). She also clearly states how and why it made her uncomfortable: she was taken advantaged of, it wasn't in the script, her nativity from being 19 years-old led her to agree to to the scene without consulting her agent and/or lawyer first (which is common practice in film whenever something questionable is suggested by the director on-set).

But yeah, welcome to the thread. MRA's need your help here before the evil liberals take away their ability to masturbate to women on the internet so you better get angrier than that otherwise no one will pay attention to you and you'll be left with a limp dick and no tits to look at.

Just saw this today

What do you guys think? I don't think I really care too much about an altered beast show since the game had very little plot other than WISE FROM YUR GRABE
However, a cyberpunk styled Streets of Rage show would be fucking money to me. Goddamn I love that games Aesthetic so much.
Also I have a chance to shill my Streets of Rage 2 Intro remix

If the Streets of Rage show doesn't have jetpack enemies, Hard Gay, fighting kangaroos or cyborgs it's gonna suck.

I played Altered Beasts all the time, I hope they keep the color palette of the game.
