From the Comedy Central website...

Best friends and fledgling ad men Sam and Tim may not have the money, connections or talent that the big corporations do, but they have more than enough ambition to build a local advertising empire. Whatever they do, they do it together. And no matter what, Tim and Sam’s love for each other and their city never wavers in this new show co-executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Jason Sudeikis.

Premieres tonight at 10:30 PM EST.

Watched the premiere. I liked it and Sam and Tim have good chemistry. The scenes where they were trying to break the glass and they accidentally ran over Jason Sudeikis' character were my favorite parts. Good to see a show film in Detroit, which hopefully won't be shittier than Low Winter Sun.

Shows how well you remember it, it was one of the letters on the Omnicorp sign that fell on him. Of course they left it open ended in case they got another season but I think it's the perfect way to end the series since things finally started to work out for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19vApPwWqh8

Best known for his roles on Battlestar Galactica as Apollo in the original series and Tom Zarek in the reimagined series, he also tried to reboot BSG himself with The Second Coming. Unfortunate he passed though, guess we'll never see his vision of BSG come to fruition.

From creator Victor Fresco (Better Off Ted), Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila Hammond (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change – becoming a zombie who feeds on human flesh – sending their lives down a road of death and destruction...but in a good way.

The series premieres February 3 on Netflix

Surprising good and it's really hard for me to get into new shows.

But it dips in and out of being its own thing and feeling like a generic network comedy.

Overall, it's worth checking out though.

Watched episodes 7 and 8 and it took a turn there with Joel killing Dan. There was some great comedy with him and Sheila trying to hide the body especially when the chest they put him in broke. Looks like they're in the clear for now since everything got pinned on Dan.

Yeah, it was revealed somewhere that Trey had assumed Clinton would win and created the episode with that in mind, however since the election was the day before showing and Trump ended up winning they had to throw out the old and churn out an ep in less than 24 hours. I still enjoyed the season though.

So I watched Halloweed on Netflix, I really thought it would have more to do with weed... but I was wrong!

so like this guy is the son of a serial killer, and his step bro who "smokes a lot of weed" (rarely seen on screen) and this guy is the guy who played the guy in scary movie 3 that was a parody of walkenique Phoenix's guy in signs. And like they go a town where like an evil fat KFC Cornenel rules with an iron dick, then like serial murders happen and the good guy is like innocent, and Danny Trejo keeps talking about "he who controls the weed controls the universe," and then like some shit happened at the end and like yeah then they go to Cabo and kill the mayor, a happy ending right?[\%]

I have this Boat review a 2/6 10ths IF you are stoned, basically this movie sucked donkey dee.....

Next week I will be reviewing the television show review, even if their flyers and sopenas can't stop me breaking space and time!

I just found out they're doing a mini series adaptation of Red Mars in 2017. The Babylon 5 creator is going to be showrunner, which seems like a good pick.

Watched the first two episodes. I like Wayne's demeanor and the way he does and says things is pretty funny. The banter is one of the show's strongest parts like that conversation about tearing open your ballsack was gross but the way they were talking about it was some funny ass shit.

Seems like the season 1 episodes on that channel are from when it aired on the Comedy Network, which I'm assuming might have been shortened from its original versions on CraveTV.

I actually found it shortly after posting this thread.

Watched both seasons, solid show. Season 2 felt a little forced at times but was definitely good.

Favorite episode was probably s2e3. Watch the opening in that. There's no spoilers just a funny ass conversation with Squirrly Dan, Darry, and Wayne playing catch.

CraveTV has a seven day free trial when you sign up, think I will do that when season 3 comes out.

Reminds me of a Stephen King book about this dude going about his day to day chores and he keeps talking about how his wife is home sick with the flu. When he gets home, it is revealed that his wife died a week ago and he is in denial and convinced himself she is just sick. He walks in on the family dog eating her foot to the bone and his fake reality gets shattered.

Some of you might know it better by it's French title Evviva la libertà.

The arts are often accused of being a leftist force, but I think it's pretty unquestionable that the action genre of film tends to be right leaning if not straight up pro-military jingoism on the border of fascism.

What are some action movies the left can truly call their own, all that comes to mind for me is Mr. Freedom and the original Robocop.

I never really got how that movie was suppose to be a parody or a take down of militarism. Obviously Verhoeven is very left leaning and hated the source material but Troopers lacks the bite of a Robocop. Perhaps because that kind of government demands the utmost loyalty and dedication it's just enough to portray them as idiots. But, to me, the movie comes off less as fascism is bad and much more "hey those goofy fascists are at it again."

I agree that it's condemnation of militarism is mainly superficial (visual parallels with the nazis) and not especially thorough (come on, what do you expect from this movie?), but i think what should be noted is its take-down on mass (state-run in the movie) media and the narratives that get created in a societies at war, which i think it successfully lampoons. I've only watched robocop in pieces so maybe i don't know exactly what you're talking about too, but there definitely is that strawman/goofy-fascists edge to the characters.
