If you want to talk about Star Wreck, you might try the Star Trek board: >>>/1701/

Besides, Star Wreck is old news. The guys later made Iron Sky, and are now working on its sequel, I believe.

Some tools for TV/movies. Post what you got.

On IMDb, you can add "eprate" to the end of the link of any TV show and it will list the episodes in order of rating. This is good for getting a taste of comedy shows, see what the best they have to offer is. Example with King of the Hill: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118375/eprate

GraphTV will show you a graph of all a show's episodes, by season, with an averaging line per season. Also based on IMDb. Here it is with South Park: http://graphtv.kevinformatics.com/tt0121955 Good for shows that have a lot of seasons and you want to see if they stay consistent, where the high point is, etc.

stremio is like popcorn time, but with a plugin architecture. It tells you where stuff is available for streaming, but also has plugins to stream the torrent.

It's missing some stuff but is good for streaming new/popular things.

So I as reading the Tosh.o wikiapedia page other night after much drinking and several severe blows to the head, and it said

>Tosh's ability to call the audience to action has yielded the mass vandalism of the show's own Wikipedia article,[21] and has resulted in traffic volumes that have temporarily crashed websites such as CelebrityNetWorth[22][23][24][25] and Comedy Central.[26]

But like that was on the Wikipedia page? So is this like a land of the lost meets the time machine kind of thing while sniffing glue with the guy in the movie that's getting letters from his dead dad and he like solves his own murder, or his dads? Maybe that's the sequel.

LOST! What a great fucking show in my opinion. I am years late to the party, I know, but I have just watched the whole show on Netflix up the last ep. which I am going to watch before I return to this thread. I basically like everything about the show. Let this be a Lost appreciation thread. If you don't like Lost, you were either too dumb to follow the plot lines, or didn't see enough episodes in order to connect everything.

Unfortunately, the actor who played Eko asked to be written off the show, the writers actually did have a longer arc planned for him but the series wasn't yet in a position where it could have swapped out his actor. He was one of my Favs too :(

Other favorites of mine: Locke, because I love old white people who pretend to be badasses and through their delusions actually become badasses
I loved Ben too, because he Called God a fucking inconsiderate asshole and then stabbed him in the fucking abdomen. Fuck yes.
But my favorite might have been Desmond. I'm a sucker for the cheese "lovers separated by insurmountable odds surmount them" trope.

Anyone else catch the new Top Gear last night? It felt kinda wanky at first but it overall felt like a proper return to form and Clarkson, May, and Hammond's chemistry was on point. Not sure how I feel about the new tame racing driver though. The whole "American Hillbilly Caricature" shtick seems like it would get old quickly and I'm sad they didn't get Ben Collins like they initially teased.

Either or, it feels like I finally have something decent to watch on Amazon Prime.

I dont like car shows, i used to watch top gear with a bf ages back and kind of liked it, watched this out of curiosity of the controversy and well, it was pretty alright.

you can definetly tell that they are the masters of the format that they developed. quite a few of the jokes were kinda cringey like the celebrities dying and as you said the tame racing car driver. The think that really got me was the fighting with the audience where they yelled out USA and they kept cutting it.

But it was alright. im not sure if ill watch it next week, but yeah its leagues above the current top gear and also goes to show how integral their chemistry is to the show working, i find that the show is really about them and the cars and everything else are just a vehicle ( ) to making a show.

This. The webseries is a great introduction to the various characters that appear (and some that do reappear on the TV series). High Maintenence isn't so much about the drug use itself as much as it is a plot device to weave The Guy into the fabric of his customer's personal lives and showing their slices of life.

You must have very low standards. One-Punch Man is a dank show, sure, but in terms of "feels" or really anything deeper it will never come close to actual cinematic art, no anime will.
Ludacris - Sun, 20 Nov 2016 08:36:58 EST ID:26nSSkij No.375819 Ignore Report Quick Reply
I dunno if you're looking at the show from a "feels" perspective it's not that impressive. I mean it's good sure, and Mumen Rider is endearing, but OPM's strength is the humor, fight choreography, and the quality of the animation. The only big fuckoff action series I've ever seen that managed to really get me in the heartguts was Gurren Lagann. If you count movies Terminator 2 made me cry when I was 5 when the terminator lowered himself into the lava though.

God DAMN that was a good movie. Is there any action movie better than Terminator 2?

Continuing the story of Jimmy and Gretchen; two lost souls who experience fear, heartbreak, romance, sex, food, Sunday Funday, and friendship in Los Angeles find that sometimes the worst people make the best partners. Last season after a whirlwind courtship, and a very rough post-cohabitation period of dealing with Gretchen’s clinical depression, Jimmy and Gretchen try to keep the good times rolling while confronting the terrifying fact that relationships grow and deepen even if the two individuals don’t. For Jimmy and Gretchen, the f-word is “family.”

The season premieres August 31 at 10pm EDT on FXX

A whole hour of depressing shit? It's like Louie season 4 episode blocks all over again. Hopefully it's good. Less Gretchen X Jimmy drama, more shit with the whole gang on funny yet character-building adventures.
Shirley Henderson - Fri, 18 Nov 2016 08:51:44 EST ID:sANsQvU7 No.375777 Ignore Report Quick Reply
Well an hour and 22 minutes actually including an inside the episode special. It was really good for how it showed Lindsay/Paul, Dorothy/Edgar and Gretchen/Jimmy deal with their relationships. I was surprised at the 180 turn for Paul stooping to Lindsay's level but after all the shit she did to him, I figured at some point he would eventually snap but Lindsay saying "my body, my choice" repeatedly and the whole pre-nup scene was pretty funny especially Lindsay's burn on Paul about getting stallioned. And Jimmy leaving Gretchen after proposing to her is Jimmy being Jimmy. He did it before to Becca and now he's doing it again to Gretchen but that whole elaborate plan before the proposal was sure something. Who knows what will be next for them now. Dorothy and Edgar mutually parting ways seemed best for them and I sympathized with how he felt in that the second he became more successful than her, she freaked out. Doug Benson playing himself as a serious business is laughable given his personality but it's completely different.

I felt like this season was on par with last season with some things being better or worse than 2. I suppose though that people are more into the comedy than the drama, which is fine but for me personally they tackle the drama aspect better than other dramedies would.
Robert Redford - Fri, 18 Nov 2016 12:28:42 EST ID:jzRqGgBn No.375783 Ignore Report Quick Reply
damn, that completely redeemed Paul for me. and the episode with all the arguing is EXACTLY what this season and all the characters needed, and incredibly well done. it still sucks that we had to watch him and lindsay take an entire season to realize they don't belong together AGAIN but at least it's sticking this time and Paul can finally see Lindsay for who she is instead of who he wants her to be. I'm happy that Edgar and the comedy girl split too cause it means they can get back to him crushing on Linsday which I always liked. My favorite part was probably Gretchen getting so giddy about the murder scene, but with Gretchen's therapist leaving the same day Jimmy proposes then nopes out, I see her spiraling hard to a place even lower than where she was at in season 2. season 4 should be nice and depressing, maybe we'll even get a suicide attempt!!

comparing it to the other seasons I still like the first two better, but this finale really made up for the big issues I was having.

my body my choice
