You guys interested? Season 6 drops in 3 days and I still have no idea what the hell its gonna be about. Trailers are all over the place.

>Details about the season's plot and cast have been kept secret, an approach to publicity unusual for the series. What is known about the cycle's theme is that it will revolve around children, and in the words of co-creator Ryan Murphy will be "more rogue" and "dark", in contrast to the previous season, Hotel.

Idk whats up. Im a fan of previous seasons though so Ima give it a whirl. I just hate how every season starts to build up this huge momentum with a bunch of plots and then they rush it to tie all loose ends together in the last episode or two.

>AHS premieres Sept 14 (Wednesdays) 10PM on FX

I remember the rumors of it when it first came out - http://www.avclub.com/article/the-next-american-horror-story-may-explore-the-man-105901

But I wish I could read your screenplay. Also Tales of the Crypt is gonna be on TNT so not on network TV.

TNT = Turner Network Television, lol. It is network, tho I will admit that the term "network" is misused.

Typically when people say network teleivions, they're referring to the channels that you get with a basic cable subscription. These channels rely on ad revenue to make money, and because they rely on ads, they play by a very strict set of rules of what can and can not be done on teleivions — basically, self-centered.

Non-networks networks (see the stupidity of the term?) are the channels you gotta pay extra for, and thus they don't have commercials and they get away with more. HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, *Turner* Classic Movies, etc.

So yeah, TftC is on TNT, meaning there is going to be commercials, there is going to be censoring of nudity and words and gore deemed too "extreme". TftC should've just stayed with HBO.

Won't happen.

The reason why TNT can produce new episodes of TftC, which was historically an HBO show, is because they're both owned by Time Warner Cable.

Netflix would have to buy the rights from Time Warner, and let's face it, why would TW sell the rights? Netflix is their biggest competitor. They'd sooner give it to Hulu (which is owned by Time Warner).

The only reason TNT is getting TftC is because the executives want to revive the channel. TNT has nothing going for it, all its shows suck, and it's market appeal thus far has only been Weekend movies.

It's such a waste of a good IP.

When I talk about network television, I mean Fox/ABC/NBC/CBS/CW when I mean network television. TNT is on cable and not restricted by what content they air but they still have to placate advertisers and the network so they self-restrict themselves given its large viewer base though networks like AMC (though they could let TWD do way more) and FX aren't as restrictive.

>>379129
Time Warner Cable got spun off and bought out by Charter and is now Spectrum so it's just Time Warner owns HBO, Cinemax and the Turner networks. I guess it makes sense to revive it on TNT instead of HBO since TNT doesn't have any standout shows on its network and more people can watch it. It doesn't help that M. Night is involved either.

Anyone who watches the show at all would here that song prelude to some kind of mystery, at least once per show, and the fucks didnt decide to make it known what this one masterfully creepy tune is called. Looking for at least the name of this movie.. by Arwen - Sat, 11 Feb 2017 22:30:15 EST ID:Dlh1ochx No.378853 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Alright, this might be a shot in the dark, hopefully there's at least someone out there who has seen there fair share of commercials that occurred in the 90s, specifically around the late nineties, it's hard searching for it because everything I can think of describing it just leads to irrelevant things. I'm looking for a movie that was being advertised sometimes late at night, I think it may have been on comedy central, it was sort almost like a Troma film in quality sort of by the looks of it, it was sort of like one of these movies you could obtain for 19.99$ and order over the phone, but they were advertising it as like sort of one of those "too shocking for tv" sort of things, was actually more of a comedy, supposed to be like "the most obscene offensive movie ever made", had like what I recall being like this devilish Where's Waldo kind of guy in it, and I think they like had some sort of corny fake explosion of someone's head, but it had a lot of other things going on in it that actually made it seem pretty funny, it was just so long ago I only have a faint recollection of it. I think the cover had white text on a big black circle, I keep thinking it was called something like "Outrageous as Hell" or "Comedy Hell" or "Obscene as Hell" but actually, I don't even know for sure if Hell was even in the title. I know that's not much to go on, but it was just one of those "forbidden" things that when I was a kid I always told myself I was going to want to ahold of someday and it'd feel like my life would be complete. lol. I'm wishing I can just get ahold of every commercial made in the 1990s ever and just go through them to find it.

>Troma film in quality sort of by the looks of it

I hate those kinds of movies. Especially Toxic Avenger.

I've watched a shit load of 80s horror. But something about Troma movies just irk me and make me feel like a worse person for watching them.

I rate Meet the Feebles the highest on the list of movies that fucked with me as a kid. Mainly because when you're going through channels and see this come on as a kid, you don't really know what you're getting into, it's not nearly as depraved and sleazy as Troma movies.

From the Comedy Central website...

Best friends and fledgling ad men Sam and Tim may not have the money, connections or talent that the big corporations do, but they have more than enough ambition to build a local advertising empire. Whatever they do, they do it together. And no matter what, Tim and Sam’s love for each other and their city never wavers in this new show co-executive produced by Lorne Michaels and Jason Sudeikis.

Premieres tonight at 10:30 PM EST.

From creator Victor Fresco (Better Off Ted), Joel (Timothy Olyphant) and Sheila Hammond (Drew Barrymore) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby, until Sheila goes through a dramatic change – becoming a zombie who feeds on human flesh – sending their lives down a road of death and destruction...but in a good way.

Watched episodes 7 and 8 and it took a turn there with Joel killing Dan. There was some great comedy with him and Sheila trying to hide the body especially when the chest they put him in broke. Looks like they're in the clear for now since everything got pinned on Dan.

Finished the season. It has its moments and Joel is definitely the show's best character. Looks like he's getting locked up in an asylum while Sheila has locked herself in the basement. How will they both escape and try to find a cure?
