Feeling kinda enthralled at the current story arcs going on in the show. Also, the show is really cozy. It's basically at the peak of the show right now (late peak but great throughout) and it's really awesome being this far into the show and it still manages to top itself and add in great new characters. When I got into this show was after it aired, I wasn't expecting quality anywhere near what I got.

Season 3 trailer is out.
10/11/17
Looks like after blackouts and revelation of what the FBI knows the F Society is gonna be hunted down by them and dark army.
This season actually looks pretty dope. I'm not gonna lie last season was kinda boring but definitely was setting stuff up.
WTF is in the Washington township plant? Are we gonna reverse the encryption or are we gonna see joey bada$$ kill some more people? Is Tyrell gonna blow up the building?

I'm happy I wasn't the only person that spotted that. I don't know if it was though just because with the whole one take thing and Angella seeing Elliot right at the end. I don't know if there was enough time for it to be significant. They still might fudge it though.

I'm pumped for this week it looks like we're gonna see what the FBI was doing during the riot. I think the next two episodes might actually just be set at the same time as this one. with the vote happening at the same time as well as stage two. And now Elliot has to handle the FBI and Angella. Chronologically in the show I think the next day or so is gonna be crazy.

It was indeed all that and a bag of chips. I fucked up my recording and came home drunk to only see the last ten minutes... I only watch like 2 minutes and then watched the rest online but holy fuck my reaction when I got home. I was thinking "I hope this show picks up, nothing too crazy has happened lately"

Angela putting on the mask, everyone tearing the offices apart and beating if not killing people I haven't gotten that kind of TV in a a while, not since Hannibal probably. Also shout outs to B.D. Wong he can do this over the top villain thing with a straight face here and do something a hell of a lot more campy on Gotham.

Dude holy fuck tonight's episode.
Every time I think that was the most intense they just kick it up a notch.

I totally thought Elliot was gonna throw something out that window when they were in Angela'a office. That whole thing was intense.

Also Elliot fighting himself in the stair ways was pretty fantastic. I laughed for that whole bit.

Dom is being a complete and total bad ass in this episode which is really nice to see. I love how she just goes over here directors head.

So did Tyrell learn that his wife is dead? What's gonna happen with their baby? And most importantly what we're his instructions.I think he was supposed to chain himself to the bed and pretend to be a prisoner which is why he couldn't leave through the front door of the shop to warn the FBI. I wonder if he's gonna cooperate with them and help bring down the dark army.

Now that Mr. Robot and Elliot have brought down evil corp do you think they'll work together to not get destroyed by The dark army and E-corp? I really think Elliot's gonna get forced into defending himself. White Rose is gonna be coming after him now that his "Passion" has run out and stopped being useful.

The trailer for next week showed the return of Joey Badass out in the desert. I kinda want to see him drag Trenton and Mobelly out into death valley and force them to dig their own graves. I think this show could pull something like that off really well. This also means that we won't have a story line where Elliot tries to restore the database he destroyed to set everything right again. I feel like that'd be boring and going over some of the same ground we've already covered.

I know this isn't really the usual fare for this board, but I don't know where else to ask really.

I'm planning to do a small amateur animation, and since it's my first I'll try to limit the animation by only doing minimal amount of frames necessary to tell the story. Keeping both work and time spent to a minimum.

But to the question, does anyone know what codec would be good for something that is essentially a slideshow? Or do modern codecs handle that well? So that it's Draw New Frame, then just Redraw Frame until the next New Frame. Because that would make the filesize very manageable while keeping the quality. And since I also don't really have money for a larger HDD that would be really great. I already have supplies for artwork and an okay scanner, it's just the codec and editing part I haven't wrapped my head around.

I know nothing about the subject of video work and searching around hasn't gotten me very far since slideshows aren't really serious business.

Thank you for reading!

Look into something like Toonboom. I've been investigating doing animations myself for our YouTube channels intro, and this seems to consistently get recommended. A drawing tablet would be advisable though, but you may be able to find a phone app to do drawings and then export them.

They're not dying, they're pivoting. Audience numbers are gradually decreasing but profits are still rising because theater chains are investing in "luxury" renovations like reclining seats and other amenities like alcohol, "premium" food, and waiter service. They're slowly raising the price of tickets while offering less seats while concession food still remains retardedly expensive. If this pivot works out then eventually you'll see them knock down walls and basically combine two smaller screens into one big screen so they can sell more premium tickets to a single showing.

They arent dying. When one of my local cinemas plays "classic" movies you literally cannot get a ticket. they are re-showing the godfather at my cinema, not only did you have to buy tickets on the internet but they were sold out in a day.
I went to go see Her in the cinema last year, just rocked up because pffft no one goes to the cinema anymore and the line was so big the usher was standing at the capacity line telling people they wouldnt get a seat but could wait around to see if one comes free. it was absolutely mental.

The thing that makes watching movies on netflix or torrent is if the movie is shit you can just click off and try another one, but when you go to the cinema, you're in for the long haul and it could totally ruin a date if you have to sit through some trash movie.

it's a bit cramped/too big but you can lie down and enjoy it and it's better than the fuckin movie theater. only cost the projector + like $50 for the screen

This. While theaters have the advantage of being able to show the latest films, that isn't always enough for people to go out. You have to make the movie-going experience more enjoyable to movie-goers by offering wider amenities like bar/food/waiter service rather than just what's at the concession stand.

Has a kind of Dallas meets Twin Peaks vibe. People watching it could call in and participate, which makes for a lot of awkward attempted improv, but the Wham City folks are great as usual.

Inside Man had a hell of a cast as well. Christopher Plummer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jodi Foster, Denzel Washington and Clive Owen too?

I'd probably watch another movie involving Clive Owen's character but I'd rather it wasn't a direct sequel in name. It would have to be completely different since the misdirection heist angle has already been played. It would be funny if they advertised a film under a different name and mentioning no ties to the original as if Clive Owen and Spike Lee just decided to do another movie together then mid movie you realize "Holy shit, that's him! From Inside Man!". Hell, I'd watch a detective movie with Denzel Washington's character or Jodi Foster as the fixer.

I don't get why he doesn't seem to star in big movies anymore. Dude's a really good actor. Is he a gigantic prick on the set or something?

The dumb big ass head
The bugs bunny teeth
How is he supposed to be scary?
Is it just me that thinks this design is cringe worthy?
