Just watched ESPN's 30 for 30: Nature Boy. Even if you're not a wrestling fan, it's a very emotional and uplifting documentary about Ric Flair that's worth watching - https://pastebin.com/NzaYJTD8

Any other 30 for 30 documentaries besides OJ: Made in America and This Was the XFL that are any good?

I thought the season finale was good and much more conclusive than previous seasons but something felt off about it like you expected everything to happen like Ally turning on Kai, then Kai trying to kill her only to be stopped by Beverly, and by the end Ally becoming a leader just like Kai. Overall I liked Cult and especially because they didn't rely on supernatural and paranormal horror so it was more like Freak Show I guess. I wonder what the next two seasons will be about.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was.
John Locke - Sun, 19 Nov 2017 18:50:56 EST ID:Kgxd2qyJ No.391185 Report Quick Reply
And Freak Show still had one or two background supernatural elements, so if the ending was meant to imply a Coven crossover, I'm glad we didn't see it just so the season can be called the first supernatural-free one. They managed to stay grounded in reality yet get way crazier than the recent paramormal seasons. I recently read Helter Skelter, a book about Charles Manson, and it's crazy how truth is stranger than fiction with that case. Half the things out of Mansons mouth, if he wasn't a real life human, I would accuse his writers of being hacks because no real person could be so crazy and zany. Kai rules!
Howard Hawks - Sun, 19 Nov 2017 19:01:33 EST ID:OR/Yo4mj No.391187 Report Quick Reply
You're right, there were some supernatural elements in Freak Show though I forgot which ones they were. But I think that the ending was an interesting tease if the Coven theory is true. I'm not as into supernatural and paranormal horror (although my friend loves it), which I think is why I liked Cult a lot more than previous seasons because of how grounded in reality it was. The Tate murders were also depicted pretty accurately on the show, which made the scene even harder to watch since that's what actually happened.

>I forgot which ones they were
There was the dude with a second face on the back of his skull, and while that part was based on a real medical case, it went supernatural when his ghost showed up in a couple episodes including the finale.

So APPARENTLY (take this with a grain of salt) The Coven cross over at the end was going to happen but it was going to be even zanier. The "Women of Power" their faces likely wouldn't be shown but it was going to be all of Sarah Paulsons characters from past season, one of which being the witch...

Ending was decent but we still don't know if S.C.U.M. was even real and if it was, it's a plot hole Things got messy half way but I still enjoyed it, I just much preffered the idea of people with different ideologies coming together out of hatred, the actual political stuff wasn't not handled as well when we got into Kai's nazi group and S.C.U.M. it's revealed Kai had no real plan and it seems like the writers didn't either IMO... I also would have liked to see Kai in prison for a bit longer.

Third fave season with the greatest dialogue in the whole series, maybe the network... "AWW FUCK YA, I LOVE STORY TIME" I didn't care for the white nationalist stuff but those scenes with the sleeping bags were killer. I wish they went balls to wall with "night of 100 Tates" or at least have them start it before they're stopped by the police I had a visual idea of them happily marching down the street in something similar to the promo material outfits.

It's a bit too slapstick for my liking. The first episode with Leon telling Larry to get rid of the limp-bitch was hilarious, but since then the episodes have ranged from bad to decent.

The accidental text episode was really good though.

Maybe we like different aspects of the show then cuz I've found things to love every week. I'm very similar to Larry, so maybe I relate to the jokes too easily compared to well-adjusted human beans. Every episode has multiple moments that just nails awkward interactions I have had before, and this season has a lot of modern awkwardness that could only work in a 2017 season, where some of the last two seasons had started to feel rinse/repeat to me, now it really feels like we're getting a 2017 equivalent of new Seinfeld. ALso, in older seasons it started to feel predictable because every awkward moment always lead to some huge coincidence later, this season is going less on coincidental twists and harder on just great character fights and painful interactions. In old eps, something like Larry being annoyed with the two people kissing would have come back as some crazy twist where the couple winds up in charge of Larry's fate somehow, instead now it's just a funny thing that happens then they move on.

I know this isn't really the usual fare for this board, but I don't know where else to ask really.

I'm planning to do a small amateur animation, and since it's my first I'll try to limit the animation by only doing minimal amount of frames necessary to tell the story. Keeping both work and time spent to a minimum.

But to the question, does anyone know what codec would be good for something that is essentially a slideshow? Or do modern codecs handle that well? So that it's Draw New Frame, then just Redraw Frame until the next New Frame. Because that would make the filesize very manageable while keeping the quality. And since I also don't really have money for a larger HDD that would be really great. I already have supplies for artwork and an okay scanner, it's just the codec and editing part I haven't wrapped my head around.

I know nothing about the subject of video work and searching around hasn't gotten me very far since slideshows aren't really serious business.

Thank you for reading!

Look into something like Toonboom. I've been investigating doing animations myself for our YouTube channels intro, and this seems to consistently get recommended. A drawing tablet would be advisable though, but you may be able to find a phone app to do drawings and then export them.

Inside Man had a hell of a cast as well. Christopher Plummer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jodi Foster, Denzel Washington and Clive Owen too?

I'd probably watch another movie involving Clive Owen's character but I'd rather it wasn't a direct sequel in name. It would have to be completely different since the misdirection heist angle has already been played. It would be funny if they advertised a film under a different name and mentioning no ties to the original as if Clive Owen and Spike Lee just decided to do another movie together then mid movie you realize "Holy shit, that's him! From Inside Man!". Hell, I'd watch a detective movie with Denzel Washington's character or Jodi Foster as the fixer.
