When intersteller came out i was like "this is an amazing movie man woah dude so fucking amazing" and people were giving me shit for saying that.

It really is one of the better sci fi movies.

Im currently watching kitchen nightmares. Back to uni so i really just need something mind numbing to finish off the day.

The first 5 seasons of supernatural are really good. After that they change show runners and the show loses direction almost completely.

I stopped after season 7 but after that they change showrunners again and I hear it picks up in quality. Probably worth continuing. I am waiting for the shpw to finish forever before I start again.

That would've been a good ending but, in my opinion it wouldn't have been as great as the one they went with, because:
If it had ended at the moment of rescue, the story and message would have been about Cooper and Murph almost exclusively. We'd be unsure about the fate of both of them. Would Murph actually have aged 80 years or whatever it was? Would Cooper survive to see Murph, or visa versa? What was Murph going to accomplish with the data? What happened to Brand?
It would have been a story about individuals, instead of a story about something bigger.

Now hold on to your butts because this might sound far-fetched, hokey and pretentious:
"Do not go gentle into that good night".
The movie ends with Murph dead, having saved mankind by building Cooper Station. Cooper fullfilled his promise to see Murph again, but what does he do? He doesn't wait around for her funeral, he doesn't kick back and relax to live out the rest of his life as a hero. Instead, he steals a one-map space ship with his robot buddy and with a big grin on his face sets out into dark, cold space in search of Brand. Cooper represents the restless human spirit of exploration.
It's also no coincidence that the planet we see Brand stranded on looks like Mars. I think they made this intentionally obvious to break the fourth wall.
Nolan's message to us is to keep going. To boldly go where no man has gone before. Exploration is in our fucking genes. It's why we, not the Neanderthals, conquered earth. We survive because we go willingly into possible danger.
We're not going to save Earth. We're not going going to survive by staying on Earth, just as we were not going to survive by staying in Africa. Spreading out and colonizing is what we are meant to do.

>Baskets s03e04 - A Night at the Opera

This was such a great episode and how it all built up with Christine running around town trying to do a million things to get the opera to be a success to the end of Dale disastrously preventing more fireworks being shot off. What I've liked about this season is how it's been centered around the Baskets Family Rodeo and seeing how Chip, Dale and Christine all try to make it work.

Stargate SG1 Binge Guy Here....Into season 8 and decided to do an update.

WTF happened to SG1 in the eighth season? All of a sudden Teal'c has hair, O'Neill is a General, Carter is dating some douchey cop. Some of the actors brought in outright stink up the place....Looking at you Jolene Blaylock...and the writing seems to have just gone out the window. The tried and true SG1 formula seems to be thrown out the window. You get weird episodes like the one with the billionaire who tries to expose the existence of the Asgard...bad acting by a bad actor with a bad accent and just a lot of badness all around. WTF?

Seriously, this better straighten up before I hit episode 200....

You don't have to watch SG1 and Atlantis concurrently but you can.

But yeah basically in season 8 they decided they needed to introduce some fresh changes. The guy who plays O'Neill could no longer do the intensive schedule and wanted to spend more time with his family. Can't blame him for that. Plus it's kinda around the time where he's getting a bit old for leader of SG-1 so it makes sense that they'd give him a desk job.

The changes are jarring at first, especially Teal'c's fuckin hair, but you get used to it and I think it works really well after a bit. It's nowhere near as bad as when Jonas took Daniel Jackson's place imo.

And yeah, hold off on Stargate origins for a couple more weeks. They're calling it "episodes" but it's just 10 "episodes" that are 10 minutes each so it's essentially a ~100 minute movie. It would probably be best binged. And considering how some reboots have been lately I'm not expecting Origins to be great but I'm not expecting it to be bad. I'll just go in with no expectations and hope it's got merit, but it is weird the way MGM is doing this. Why not just call it what it is, a movie? I guess then they wouldn't be able to justify charging people $25 for their streaming service for a movie lol. (to be fair their streaming service does also feature every other stargate series and the movies as well I believe, but the main draw is obviously Stargate Origins)

Season 8 is where it begins to drop in quality. Thats where Atlantis comes in and i think the executive staff became strained and maybe atlantis poached some of the sg1 witers?

I think at that point the sci fi channel was starting to go a bit "soap opera"

I actually started with Atlantis and was drawn into the SG universe that way. In my head I am making the right connections.

And yeah, Atlantis feels more "SG1" in some ways than SG1 does now, midway through season 8.

What order should I see the two movies in?

Just watched, and thoroughly enjoyed Marshall. One of the few biopics that feels like it could be part of a running series since a lot of Thurgood Marshall cases are ripe for dramatization. Anyway, now I have a hankering for more court movies or legal dramas. Doesn't have to be drama exclusively, though. I'm mostly looking for good movies, but I wouldn't say no to some good series recommendations like The People v. O. J. Simpson too. Although I should stress that I'm not really interested in garbage-tier network filler like Law and Order.

I've already seen 12 Angry Men, To Kill a Mockingbird, A Few Good Men, Philadelphia, Find Me Guilty, and My Cousin Vinny.

I liked the main plot and disliked the subplot. I guess that's why they have two plots in all the eps, keeps every type of fan with something to enjoy I guess.

I was rewatching the episode where Stan institutionalizes Francine to buy himself an extra few days to prepare for their anniversary, it reminded me of this new ep a lot.

So there was a French or Itallian animated movie about a war, the main character was a dude with a blonde hair who's later getting his eyes burned, there's also a sexy lady alongside him, there's a scene where the sexy lady is taking a shower while the blonde dude with the burned eyes is looking after her, then some drunk sneaky asshole commes around just to see the naked body of that sexy lady, then the blonde dude kicks that assholes ass.

P.S. Sorry for my bad English

I could be wrong, but I thought Lucas was singled out. The guy never straight up says "dont hang with that negro" but I felt they just wanted to keep that part implied to spare parents of younger viewers from having to have awkward racial conversations with their kids to explain it and could just say "he's just a dick is all" rather than "he's a racist, but also victim of systemic racism being passed down through fucked up family values and probably could be a good kid if not for whatever weird shit his parents put in his head".

Watched Dirty Wars recently. It's a documentary by a renowned journalist about how America has been carrying on highly illegal and terrible shadow wars using an arm of the military called JSOC. Like most "revealing" shit I wasn't surprised, anyone suitably appraised of how world events work and reads current events would have known this. However, this journalist finds actual concrete evidence and credible witnesses, and it was actually a bit worse than some of the conspiracy theories claimed, so there's that.

lol, watch the doc. Obama condoned and expanded JSOCs role in illegal shadow wars. The documentarian even found evidence that Obama personally made a call to the leader of Yemen to request a Yemeni journalist (who had reported on evidence of JSOC activity in Yemen before the civil war even broke out) be kept in prison and silenced.

Obama literally sanctioned and helped JSOC prompt the Yemeni civil war that has now turned into the worst famine and humanitarian crisis in the last few decades. And he won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Let's get a murder porn thread going.

Obviously this idea can't come into fruition because it's illegal but I can't help but feel aroused when I imagine hypothetical plots for snuff films featuring my abusers. I don't care if that makes me seem like a horrible person. I don't care if people ostracize me for "thought crime." I can fap to whatever I want.

What would you want to see in a snuff film featuring the leader of a child porn ring? Someone who fought dogs and was into bestiality? What about his wife who filmed it? Please help me get even hornier than I already am. This is not to be confused with homicidal ideation because I have zero motivation to go through with the hassle.

Imagining it while having an orgasm is good enough for me.

fuck you guys are irritating.

but for me it's gotta be the Jillian Barberie interview. No other interview is so perfectly self-contained

I might actually like the interview with the next Jillian even more, the work out guru lady. She wasn't Jillian Barbarie but they start singing the song anyways. That and the bit with the mini interview happening under Eric's desk.

It's sort of neat how this dude thinks we're the crazy ones. Anyway, talking about movies and television...

The show before Eric Andre wasn't groundbreaking, but it had some good bits. Like giving those frat boys a real doll to carry around called Non-Consenting Cathy and then telling them the next day that one of the dolls was found to have traces of semen in it. The fear in that Chad's eyes when he's shouting he didn't do it and he'd take a DNA test had me rolling.

The reason why they had to tie that show before Eric Andre to Eric Andre is that even the producers knew it was bad. There's no way anyone would have watched it on it's own. God I hope she doesn't make more garbage.

Eric Andre Does Paris was good although maybe that was just the juxtaposition. Too bad there's still no release date for actual season 5.

Jillian Barberie-Michaels? Yeah i'm pretty sure they invited her on purely so they could sing the song again
