Mathilda is thirstier for Leon's dick + Mathilda accompanies Leon as he goes around NYC killing ppl. There's also a scene where she gets drunk and a scene where Leon talks about what happened to his previous girlfriend.

All in all it adds up to 20 minutes of cut footage.

I might be wrong, but I think WebM related might also be exclusive to the International version. I don't remember.

Citzen kane. Cliche I know, but I'll defend it strongly. There is no film I can think of that really has quite the highs and lows, the complete emotional journey quite like this one does. Its impeccably shot, perfectly done. I was lead to it by all the endless simpsons gags about it actually. A beautiful journey of a film, kicks ass and takes names. Give it a try.

I know grading is subjective and all, but Sicario was not a perfect 10. It's basically two movies and the protagonist is only really in the movie for like 20 minutes. Sure... she's present through the whole thing but she loses any agency as a character a third into the movie and just exists.

Good story? Sure. Great action? Most definitely! Perfect movie? I disagree.

Frankenhooker (pic related) is the closest thing to a perfect 10/10 to exist in cinema. Prove me wrong.

It's just like Interstellar. People talked about it for weeks and weeks, calling it one of the best movies ever made, and then everyone wakes up from their fever dream thinking "Okay, maybe it's not *that* good."

A true 10/10 stands the test of time, it gets talked about and debated years after it's release, it doesn't disappear with the latest blockbuster. So, for that reason, it's hard to call any contemporary film a 10/10, because who knows how history is going to remember it.

Arrival was just like Interstellar, in regards to the nebulous time or tim/space thing both but not much otherwise, and Interstellar blows Arrival out of the water.
Interstellar and Arrival both had that kinda mess-with-your-head nebulous time/space stuff, which was cool, better executed in Arrival. But it wasn't executed so much better that it would have been enough to negate the horrible lack of drama.
The characters were stationay, and no drama with each other or anything. Those aliens were badass not enough to make of the staleness that was kinda like an hour long montage of learning a language.
And lastly, i'm just a big sci fi action even though I love some deep, thoughtful storylines, I didn't find the time theme storyline in Arrival to be particularly compelling. So when you add all the badass sci fi action scenes to the equation, Interstell comes parsecs ahead.

>Quantum of Shakycam

Even the fucking dumbest Roger Moore movies were better.

Such a shame too, since Craig's Bond is the most faithful to the infinitely cooler book version, who's basically just a grim-as-fuck state sponsored assassin reserved for the hardest political targets instead of the smarmy cartoon character we get in the movies. I'm reading Moonraker right now, which the film has nothing to do with, the plot is basically "Bond does a shitload of speed and then kicks a rich guy's ass in Bridge for 460,000 dollars as a favor to M because fuck that guy for cheating, but also said rich guy is financing the development of a nuke for the UK and now he's going to drop it on London because fuck you too." Ian Fleming's writing style is fantastic, very straightforward and surgical while still being incredibly vivid and lifelike, perfect for gritty-ass Cold War thrillers.

Casino Royale was the only movie that really captured the essence of the original books; the movie version of Le Chiffre also seems like they took a lot of stuff from the bad guy in book Moonraker. Skyfall was all right, but it had the same problem as Hitman Absolution and new Doctor Who in that it focused way too much on the main character instead of his job. I didn't cringe as much at it though, with the exception of the scene where he meets the new Q. That fucker was straight out of some godawful Joss Whedon script.

Casino Royale though, that there's a fucking movie.

Maybe 9/10, but Silence of the Lambs was phenominal. Maybe 10/10 to some.

Butterfly Effect I thought was great, probably not a 10 though.

Kick Ass is a 10 to the right people. I think so, in it's own marvelous kind of way. Us super hero fans, right?

Feel the same way about Spiderman (2002) , Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.

The Warriors is great. Havn't seen that movie in ages. Inglorious Basterds, another good one.

Recently seen John Wick again. That's an underrated one too. Same with what's his face in that one movie. Mud, I think.

Avatar was dank, Life of Pi was dank...
All your dank classics like The Godfather, Res-Dogs...

And something older and black and white like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's one of those films that are pretty much liked by everyone, whether they want to like it or not. Same goes for Lolita.

I've watched this movie twice now and both times it was so boring that I forgot it. I remember it having almost zero plot or characterization. It was just boy turns into giant blob monster the movie in my mind. However, I keep seeing it posted again and again as a masterpiece. This is what originally lead me to watch it the second time. Now that I've forgotten it again I can feel I'm going to fall into the trap and watch it a third time to see if I was crazy or not.

No, it's made clear that all the adversity the guy has to face was caused by his ancestor in the prologue. It's based on some sort of cautionary tale in semitic folklore but I don't feel like looking it up now. I think it's one of their weakest works and they said in an interview I saw on youtube that it isn't meant for everybody.

THis is the first time i heard his misfortunes being caused by his ancestors. Do you have anything else backing that up? I've seen the opening scene being usually reasoned as existing to set up the tone of the movie (which i also find kind of a weak explanation)

Really? I had remember when 7 psychopaths came out and the usual acclaim in the commercials (even shit movies get those) but it wasn't until coming here I heard it being praised. As for in Bruge I vaguely remember commercials back in the day but once again, coming here was the only time I heard it mentioned in high regard.

Both dope movies. I usually hate predictability and lots of foreshadowing but there's something about in Bruges. It just all comes together so perfectly by the end, even if you see it all coming from a mile away. It has to be one of my favorite final scenes in a movie.

Francois Truffaut is a great director and the whole Antoine Doinel quintology including The 400 Blows, which helped start the French New Wav movement, but Doinel himself is not exactly a good person albeit a rebellious misunderstood teenager in the first film.

And speaking of being a foundation of French New Wave, Breathless is another 10/10. Jean-Luc Godard's first of many films directed by him in his long career. It's insane how many films he's directed and how much of an innovator and avant-garde his directing is.

Oddly enough, it's probably the only Tarantino film I'd give a perfect score, but it's not my favorite. Reservoir dogs takes that and I'd probably give Reservoir Dogs a 9/10. Not sure how that makes sense. Been trying to figure that out for a few minutes now. Maybe it's the lack of resolution.

That's the point, being a kid is confusing and not following the rules is natural part of our journey.
