Holy fucking christ on a cupcake. This shit fills me with rage and fury so much I am finding it hard to type coherently. Imagine the uproar if there were any other type of religious study group in the white house? Fuck christians and their stone-age thinking. Let's keep church and state separate.

https://www.sciencealert.com/trump-cabinet-bible-study-teaches-about-the-false-religion-of-radical-environmentalism

>This week's Trump Cabinet Bible study was all about the "false religion of Radical Environmentalism."

>Referencing the book of Genesis, the leader of the group, Ralph Drollinger, argued it was unbiblical to believe that man can change the environment.

I cant understand climate change deniers. Like, imagine some shit deep deep under ground for thousands of years, pumping it to the surface and then burning it for days, reintroducing it into the surface. That's like stirring up a glass that had dirt on the bottom before you take a sip.

I don't think anyone genuinely denies climate change, it's just the way that it's presented to people in a condescending way by society's elite that ticks people off.

When hollywood is chastising people to live a life of less consumption for reasons of "climate change", while at the same time they get photographed jetting around in private jets, it just makes them look like a bunch of hypocrites and I think people just don't like that.

It's less to do with being ignorant of the issue and more with giving the finger to the "official" message being delivered for reasons of it being grossly out of touch with the common person's reality.

When you're one of the common people just grinding away your days in order to keep yourself fed, you're not quite concerned with the environmental effects of driving your car to work, all you know is that you need to get to work regardless of the environmental outcome, otherwise you just die.

It's easy for people who don't have to work to sit in their high tower and shout down "consume less!" to everyone below them. And to those people being shouted at, the people doing the shouting just look like pompous jackoffs, while at the same time consuming more in a day than you consume in a whole year or more.

If anything that would make these people even more retarded than we've given them credit for. That's a terrible excuse.

If the pope wanted to really get the attention of trump and the US he could always excommunicate the entire US. It was a pretty effective tactic back in medieval days.

Not true. Via the wikipedia page:
>A poll by The Barna Group in 2004 found Catholic ethnicity to be 60% non-Hispanic white (generally of mixed ethnicity, but almost always includes at least one Catholic ethnicity such as Irish, Italian, German, Polish, or French), 31% Hispanic of any nationality (mostly Mexicans but also many Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Central Americans and Colombians among others), 4% Black [including Africans, Haitians, black Latino and Caribbean], and 5% other ethnicity (mostly Filipinos and other Asian Americans, Americans who are multiracial and have mixed ethnicities, and American Indians).[43] Among the non-Hispanic whites, about 16 million Catholics identify as being of Irish descent, about 13 million as German, about 12 million as Italian, about 7 million as Polish, and about 5 million as French (note that many identify with more than one ethnicity). The roughly 7.8 million Catholics who are converts (mainly from Protestantism, with a smaller number from irreligion or other religions) are also mostly non-Hispanic white, including many people of British, Dutch, and Scandinavian ancestry.[44]

And this further breaks down the demographics:

this x1,000. the "fuck you" vote is als completely ineffective. do you really think people will change their minds and deal with you in a more positive manner because you literally vote for what's worse for everyone just to spite a select few cunts? the outcome you should expect is instead for everyone elese to doubledown on their condescension and try to fuck you even harder.

like, the folks who voted for trump as a "fuck you" vote against "coastal elites" are actually seen even less favorably than before... you can't expect people to come around on you and try to improve their relationship with you by telling them to go fuck themselves. you'd have to be truly retarded to think this would work.

As much as I hate organized religion and Christian Conservatives I think it's kinda spergy to be this upset that they are having a religious gathering in the white house. Presidents have always practiced their own religion in the white house and invited all kinds of religious leaders.

It's not like they televising their study group to every home and forcing people to watch it.

Seriously, there are actual issues out there, poor people are slaving to get by, grow up.

Really isn't a surprise, I figured a good chunk of Trump's voter base were the prosperity Christianity types. Bible group is a good look if you're trying to appease the evangelical crowd. Honestly I doubt Trump has ever even attended one of these. Everybody probably sends some poor low level staffer to take notes. Except Pence though, I could see him giddy for a sermon like that.

I just does not understand the resistance against environmentalism.

A huge part of it is just energy independence in another package.
Image a car-park not dependent on oil-shipments overseas?

If that takes more nuclear powerplants, then so be it. Any true nationalist would support this.

It's not resistance against environmentalism per se. It's all about lobbyist dollars going towards deregulation so big business can make more money now.

Like, these guys aren't Captain Planet villains going out of their way to pollute as much as they can; they just don't want to have to answer to the government for anything, which is still bad, but is a different motivation.

A lot of such lobbyists also happen to be from the coal, oil and gas industries.

>This shit fills me with rage and fury so much I am finding it hard to type coherently
Dude, relax.

>Imagine the uproar if there were any other type of religious study group in the white house?
They're allowed to do whatever they want. That's a part of their religious freedom. And this isn't in the white house according to the BBC article you linked to:
>Every Wednesday, some of the world's most powerful people meet in a conference room in Washington DC to learn about God.
Also they are constantly running Jewish events in the White House and nobody ever seems to complain about them.

>Let's keep church and state separate.
Doesn't mean state sponsored nihilism. According to Wikipedia,
>Drollinger is a conservative evangelical Christian who describes his belief that there should indeed be an "institutional" separation of Church and State, but that the Church should still "influence" the State.
Nothing wrong with that.

>Fuck christians and their stone-age thinking.
>Referencing the book of Genesis, the leader of the group, Ralph Drollinger, argued it was unbiblical to believe that man can change the environment.
American Protestants =/= Christians. Just remind them that it's unbiblical to argued solely on what's biblical.
