Richmond, VA: police tase and shoot naked man rolling around on i-95
>"Officers are taught to stop the aggressor,” Jones said. “When things are that close and moving that fast, the ability to shoot someone in the knee or shoot a gun out of their hand is virtually impossible."
>"An unarmed person does not necessarily mean that you cannot be killed by an unarmed person,” Jones said. “I've seen cases where officers have been strangled with the bare hands of a suspect."

Webm unrelated.

Meanwhile in the Netherlands, a mentally ill guy loses it in the street and starts (trying to) stab people, cops taze him, and when that doesn't work, they pop a slug in his knee.

Why are American cops all so fucking retarded? Shoot someone in their leg and they won't do shit. Their leg is broke, they're gonna do what, stab the pavement?

A cop who follows the rules of engagement can do no wrong. If you have a problem with the ROE, you need to take it up with lawmakers. Remember, citizen, they work for you.

The leg is a relatively hard target to hit as opposed to center mass and most US cops go with the "spray and pray" approach to shooting instead of taking a careful shot.

They aren't retarded (I mean, besides medically), they're just chomping at the bit for an opportunity to murder somebody.
They escalate situations specifically so to find justifications to shoot. Like in the OP video, where they weren't going to stop playing Simon Says until the guy lost. In half these videos you can hear the cops whooping with glee as they unload whole magazines as a group.

WTF? Are cops really aiming knees? That's some movie bs. Shoot a gun out his hand? The dude's naked... How did the taser not work? The guy is running around naked. In what world is that a capital offense? How is a cop fearing for their life here?

I also love how their referring to the gun as a "service weapon", like technical jargon makes it ok...

Criticize cops, get locked up for five months without bail
>Black activist jailed for his Facebook posts speaks out about secret FBI surveillance
>Balogun spoke to the Guardian this week in his first interview since he was released from prison after five months locked up and denied bail while US attorneys tried and failed to prosecute him, accusing him of being a threat to law enforcement and an illegal gun owner.

>Balogun, who lost his home and more while incarcerated, is believed to be the first person targeted and prosecuted under a secretive US surveillance effort to track so-called “black identity extremists”. In a leaked August 2017 report from the FBI’s Domestic Terrorism Analysis Unit, officials claimed that there had been a “resurgence in ideologically motivated, violent criminal activity” stemming from African Americans’ “perceptions of police brutality”.

>Investigators began monitoring Balogun, whose legal name is Christopher Daniels, after he participated in an Austin, Texas, rally in March 2015 protesting against law enforcement, special agent Aaron Keighley testified in court.

>The FBI, Keighley said, learned of the protest from a video on Infowars, a far-right site run by the commentator Alex Jones, known for spreading false news and conspiracy theories.

While most cops in the US get less training than a hairdresser, that's not a failure, they're actually trained to shoot until the guy isn't moving and conditioned to shoot at a twitch.
There's training videos like of every stabbing since the 60s used to give cops the idea that anyone they deal with could just whip out a knife and leap 10 feet in an instant to stab them to death.
It's fucked up, and part of why traffic stops in mid-sized towns are more tense and militarized than some boarder crossings.

That cops instructions were confusing as hell especially when you are under duress. The guy obviously was terrified and wasn't a threat and did his best to comply.

It's almost like the instructions given to this man was designed to be obtuse enough to allow these guys to fulfill their bloodlust legally.

>stemming from African Americans’ “perceptions of police brutality”.

Way to prove that perception, dickbags. And it's not even a perception, it's been proven by studies. The point of contention isn't whether or not police brutality against POC exists, but to what extent it does exist. It's a fact that it does exist. We just don't know to it's exact degree.

Give these people far less authority and far more accountability.

I forgot about that one... Seriously how are so many whites willing to condone this shit still.

>In a prepared statement, North Miami police spokeswoman Natalie Buissereth said “arriving officers attempted to negotiate with the two men on the scene, one of whom was later identified as suffering from autism... At some point during the on-scene negotiation, one of the responding officers discharged his weapon.”

They fucking shot the guy after he was cuffed and restrained and had dutifully followed their instructions for several minutes. And that's all they have to say. He was a caretaker for an autistic kid ffs just trying save the kid from being shot by insane fucking cops who pull out their assault rifles on random black people in the street for no apparent reason. At what point did it turn into a situation where the police felt they needed their AR-15s to handle it?

As of at least Warren v. District of Columbia in 1981 and upheld repeatedly since then, the Supreme Court has ruled that police have no duty or obligation to provide police services to citizens, nor to protect them from harm.

As opposed to banks.

If anybody can provide me a source link to the OP webm video or help me download it to an iPhone without giving me shit for trying out an iPhone that’d be helpful.

>House Democrats Line Up to Vote en Masse for Totally Unnecessary 'Blue Lives Matter' Bill
>To little fanfare, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill on Wednesday to create a new penalty for assaulting law enforcement officials. If it becomes law, the Protect and Serve Act of 2018 would make it a federal crime, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, for “knowingly caus[ing] serious bodily injury to a law enforcement officer, or attempts to do so.”

>Similar so-called “Blue Lives Matter” bills have been snaking their way through state legislatures across the country over the past two years as citizens have continued to rise up and demand an end to police brutality. In 2016, Louisiana became the first state in the country to make police officers a class of citizen protected under hate crime law. (The bill was signed into law by Governor John Bel Edwards, a Democrat.)

>So it’s a bit jarring to see that the majority of House Democrats, including some of the chambers’ more progressive members, lined up to support the bill (a total of 162 Democratic members backed the bill, while just 24 voted against the measure). Representative Keith Ellison, who represents Minnesota and has come to be affiliated with the Bernie Sanders wing of the party, voted for the bill, as did Arizona Representative Raul Grijalva, and Jan Schakowsky, of Illinois.

They put a meme title on these bills that are horribly tyrannical and impossible to vote against for these corrupt retards. I bet the dems who voted against it are gonna pay in their next election. Also, why is it surprising that democrats would be in favor of this. Democrats and republicans both love the police state. If either of them didn't, we'd actually have a chance at police reform.

> The point of contention isn't whether or not police brutality against POC exists, but to what extent it does exist.
The main problem I have with this is it acts like only black people suffer. They suffer way more, true, but it makes it sound as if you somehow ended racism among cops that there wouldn't be a problem.

Which as for example this blatant homocide of an innocent American citizen shows, is completely false. It isn't just black guys getting murdered by cops. EVERYONE is getting murdered by our cops, even little girls. They're so completely out of control at this point they might as well be forcibly disbanded. Have a bunch of Gangster Disciples policing a neighborhood would probably not amount to much difference. Hell, the gang bangers might even steal less of our shit.

So at what point do people vote for someone running on a platform of setting higher standards, firing those who don't live up to them and hiring people who do? My countries police force is also pretty broken (in different ways) but not enough of the population has noticed yet.
Ian Crendleforth - Sat, 26 May 2018 02:53:12 EST ID:xbWLTQO9 No.168965 Ignore Report Quick Reply
Racism is only a lens that makes the problem more excessive for black people.

The fact of the matter is, even if you're a complete racist, you should be able to manage not to shoot someone you don't need to shoot. It's the lack of training that makes their racism a problem, but it's not inherently the racism that's the problem.
Basil Sasslekuck - Sat, 26 May 2018 04:14:59 EST ID:1KcWuZvS No.168966 Ignore Report Quick Reply
The thing is racism stretches who is and isn't someone you're not supposed to shoot, if it was a training issue there'd be a lot more white people getting offed by trigger happy cops, probably still not as many as minorities but it would be enough to cause enough of an outcry to spur systemic change
they have enough self control to avoid that at least

The system works!
The Sheriff's Office was found partially liable for Deputy Christopher Newman shooting Gregory Hill through his garage door while investigating a noise complaint.
Gregory Hill was found to have an unloaded gun in his back pocket.

The Jury has seen fit to award the family of Gregory Hill four cents, 1% of one dollar for his mother and each of Hill's children (1% because Hill was 99% liable for his death).

I'm surprised the jury couldn't at least give the family three fifths of four dollars.

Dude, a cop in my city literally raped a guy on camera...as in THERE IS FUCKING VIDEO OF HIM RAPING A PRISONER and three years later, the charges mysteriously faded away and he is likely to get rehired.

Despite a law saying ANY sexual contact with a prisoner is rape.
Despite the video of the guy he raped screaming and crying.
Despite the officer confessing to the act.
