@realDonaldTrump
>As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong? In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!
>8:35 AM - Jun 4, 2018

Hey conservatives, you know how you always said you needed guns in case of a tyrannical government? This motherfucker just said in very clear terms "I AM ABOVE THE LAW", whatcha make of that?

He's literally saying that if he's found guilty in a court of law, he'll just go "Yeah fuck that I'm the President, I do what I want".

Like Jesus Christ, this is something we expect Erdogan in Turkey to say, not the POTUS.

Shit's scary, yo.

Trump is everything the right thought Obama was going to be. A tyrant that's also a traitor.

From what I unserstand, as outrageous as it sounds, this is just procedure.

Check it: President commits crime, Presidnt gets convicted of crime, President can pardon himself.

Inbetween steps one and two above, is when impeachment should happen, so by the time step three would occur, President is no longer president, amd cant pardon shit.

So while Techically true.... it isnt really

Remember when Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes he MIGHT have committed? Anyway, there's also no gaurentee that a republican led Congress has the balls to impeach Trump. Pence would certainly pardon him, too, but that's besides the point, and so much for all that "law and order" talk, I guess...

Further, Ford pardoning Nixon is believed to have led to a ton of seats flipping blue in the subsequent elections, including the presidency. Not only would Trump be treading untested legal grounds, he'd also be tanking his own party in the process, all to sate his ego.

The power to pardon is invested in the executive branch as part of the separation of powers, it's not in the hands of the judiciary because it's intended to be able to reverse decisions they make and check the potential abuse of power by judges.
Generally how it works is that the justice department does the work on its own of deciding who should be pardoned or granted clemency and then sends the paperwork to the president to be signed as a formality, it was extremely rare before Trump for a president to decide by himself

Part of the reason Jack Johnson was never pardoned before is because the justice department lawyers who were actually doing the work of putting this stuff together felt it was a waste of time and resources clearing the name of a dead man when they could focus on people who's lives could be improved and the president wasn't spending his own working time making those decisions, then Sylvester Stallone got Trump alone in a room and the rest is history.

Still though, pardoning lackeys that worked for you, crimes that were committed in support of your campaign/presidency, that's a line I don't think has been crossed yet.

Pardoning Martha Stewart is slimy but absolutely no worse than Clinton pardoning Patty Hearst. However if Trump were to pardon Flynn or Manafort that might set a new precedent (and hopefully an impeachment).

Impeachment will NEVER happen. The GOP is now the Trump Party. Shit, I fully expect them to argue he needs a third term "Because OBAMA!" or some other retarded schtick.

Trump could actually anally rape his own daughter on TV during primetime and the GOP would not impeach. There is nothing he can do to get impeached.

And if you DID impeach, all the Waffle House people will go full Civil War and start shooting up schools in blue states in the name of 'Merica.

This guy is gonna stay in power. He WILL get reelected (because the shit heels who voted him in the first time just love him, and that is all he needs,) and he WILL 75% chance try and give himself a third, fourth, etc term.

Part of the reason this board is shit is because every other thread is a Trump thread. Why do you feel the need to make a new one every time he does something dumb or fucked up? An alcoholic could not keep up with such a drinking game so why do you assume the board can survive such a thing? NO WE FUCKING DO NOT

moot made the fatal error of constructing a "containment board" rather than just telling them to fuck off. As a result, they have colonized the whole site. Any attempt to give them their polflake safespace will result in all neighboring boards being trashed. I can go to /tv/, /x/, /v/, hell even fucking /an/imals and nature is filled with poltards being butthurt snowflakes and manufacturing outrage and just generally trashing the boards. I see this on every other site, in news comments sections, in youtube, everywhere.

What we need is just one or two designated Trump threads and keeping a minimum on American politics threads which are always cancerous.

You (don't) realise this has absolutely nothing to do with a board named /pol/ as opposed to the fact that the entire Anglosphere has undergone a massive political awakening in the last couple of years, right?

People were trained to be compliant and even actively resist discussing political subjects, and that's super unhealthy for a nominal democracy, under which public political discussion is supposed to be an important and integral function of the populace as a mechanism that the entire system is meant to be based on. So despite all the shills spreading aboriginal skull memes and stupid shit like that, what's happening is overwhelmingly a good think in the long run.

People crying about "/pol/" are much bigger shitposters than people who want to discuss political subjects, as far as I can see.
If you'd all just shut the fuck up and ignore threads that don't interest you, like you presumably do with every other thread that doesn't interest you, this whole "problem" would be resolved.

That's because you want to discuss politics. Look up the word perspective bro. Trump supporters made this HUGE FUSS about the Clinton Foundation (which is a very highly-rated and transparent charity, according to independent watchdog groups), but the stuff n this lawsuit is way worse than even the worse allegations against the Clinton Foundation.
Yet his supporters are brainwashed enough to spin it in a positive light.

Salt is addictive particularly when it comes from people who have hurt you. Trump extracts salt like no other. If the media wouldn't have gotten so salty during the primary, then he would have went the same way as Ron Paul. Hell even some Bernie supporters jumped on board after they got shafted. When the system refuses to represent you then you attack the system. Trump is fucking their shit up hard.

I haven't voted in more than a decade. If this guy gets the wall up I'll be forced to register to vote. I don't care if he cheats on his wife, gets pissed on by hookers, scams dumbasses with colleges, donated to Hillary, ate 5 scoops, drinks vodka with Putin, or made a baby cry.

And you also don’t care about what his tariffs and taxes will do to the economy Obama carefully revived, the deep environmental problems he’s exacerbating, or the legal scandals he’s creating which will mean decades more of spreading corruption.
It’s easy for you to support him since don’t understand much about politics or economics.

>his tariffs
I'm an isolationist. His initial position was not ambitious enough and to make it worse he's backpedaling. Meanwhile he mines salt from people who think it's the end of the world.

>his taxes
Taxes have been fucked up my entire life. From my perspective nothing has changed. Meanwhile he mines salt.

>the economy Obama carefully revived
Where's my health insurance Bush 3 er I mean Obama? I was unemployed during the entire Obama administration. I went homeless during the Obama administration. I am still homeless. I'm not even counted as unemployed in the official statistics. Nobody running in 2016 gives the slightest fuck about me. People virtue signalling they do are insulting my intelligence and having their salt mined by him.

>the deep environmental problems he’s exacerbating
We've been exacerbating environmental problems my entire life. Just because the media cries about it more doesn't mean it has changed. I've watched globalism and urbanization attack the places I live. I've watched as both sides of the aisle supported importing more people to accelerate the rate it happens. I've seen foreign aid and immigration policy used to increases overpopulation. They claim it's for diversity but I know it is for suppressing wages. He mines the salt of those who do this.

>the legal scandals he’s creating
The deep state attacking him is a sign that those who voted for him were right. This guy is absolutely wrecking their shit and they're fighting back from positions of unelected power. Salt status: mined

>will mean decades more of spreading corruption.
...as opposed to the decades more of spreading corruption we would have had without him?

>support him
I haven't voted or donated to a politician in more than 10 years. I might if the wall gets up. That's some salt mining worth voting for.

>don’t understand much about politics or economics
pic related. This is the primary reason he is supported. When your interests aren't represented by the current system and one side sees you as ignorant rural and suburban retards then you get behind a guy who is going to wreck their shit.

The media has cried wolf one too many times. For that I am truly afraid. We no longer have a watch dog can be believed. Maybe we never did. In either case when you pull the literally Hitler card and the world doesn't end, then those who heard the cry have to choose between either the media did it because they are controlled, Hitler isn't as bad as we've been told, or both. The writers of the narrative have written themselves in to a corner. From my perspective my heaven is their hell because when you've hit rock bottom you have nowhere to go but up.

Tolerance errbody

Dude is spot on the ecological adversities which mass immigration originates and exaggerates. Green peace has held this position for the longest. From one of its founders, Paul Watson.
>The accusation that a stand to reduce immigration is racist is music to the ears to those who profit from the cheap labor of immigrants. They are the same people who love to see environmentalists make fools of themselves. And there is no environmentalist more foolish than one who refuses to confront the fact that uncontrolled human population growth is the No. 1 cause of the world’s increasing environmental problems.

He's a cult of personality just like Nixon and Reagan were. There are still people today that believe Nixon was innocent and Reagan wasn't highly corrupt and full to the brim with scandal. Although, Trump's worship by his supporters seems to go deeper because there exists no line in which Trump can cross and make his base cringe. He has complete immunity and that makes him dangerous.

I really hope the Blue Wave happens and we regain congress and impeach him ASAP, or at least obstruct his administration at every turn. Because every day he's in office, is a day closer we lose all resemblance of being civilized.

Answer this question honestly:

Do you believe that the mass majority of those against immigration would retain the same degree of fervor has the majority of illegal immigrants were white?

The main argument isn't so much, "We need mass immigration". Its, "How do we handle illegal immigration? Many of which gained access legally but remained after expired visas.

Do we make them all American citizens? Do we kick out people that came here without choice as children despite their living in the states for so long that this is now actively their home? Where are these one's return to when many of them never even been to Mexico? Return to where exactly? I'm third generation American Italian, if I were illegal, do I get returned to Italy? I never lived there.

Do we separate families from their kids? Parents from their natural born children?

How exactly do we go about it ethically? Will a wall work?

What would even happen to our societies if large swaths of the community just vanished?
Here's a short video describing the affects on communities: (https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-us-canada-42667659/the-missing-consequences-of-trump-s-immigration-crackdown)

If they were white, they wouldn't have the oppressed designation to prevent applying strictness.
Much like all these anti discrimination laws make a straight white guy favored because you can remove them without consequences, versus firing a women or colored, which are protected kinds with blowback as recourse.

Just so we’re on the same page, Trump used $20,000 of his “charity” money to pay for this portrait.

Also, he had the artist come back to later repaint his hands larger. No shit.

What's funny is that right wing nuts thought the same thing about Obama. Obama did lots of unconstitutional things and drastically expanded the power of the executive branch, then passed that off to Trump.

Looks like y'all righties and lefties got a lot in common XD
