So like got some dope turkey burgers over the weekend, but here's the thing, the buns only come in packs of 6. In Walmart all the fresh burgers for turkey or beef come in packs of 4, or multiples of 4. All the frozen ones too. The hot dogs all come in packs of 6 but all there buns come in 8 packs. Like am I just fucking crazy or can these people at big meat n buns not get there shit together and figure this out?

>or is this some sinister plot to get me to buy more shit?

Of course, but you can just make sandwiches with extra buns or use some bread for extra hotdogs and burgers. Crisis averted.

Anyone here ever try going Keto? No/Low Carbs (usually under 20g a day) + No Sugar.

I'm really struggling not having wheat products, I miss pizza pretty bad, but having tons of meat and low carb veggies is delicious sometimes. Lots of burgers, cheese, eggs. I've been making cauliflower rice for chicken currys, thats been alright. Some crushed pork rind breaded pork with mashed cauliflower wasnt bad either.

Anyways just wondering if anyones given up carbs/sugar too, what you regularly eat, etc. Its been odd considering fruit unhealthy.

>i-it's super dangerous trust me ask your doctor you're in error, what's wrong with you jeezus
>btw im not gonna give any reason why though

Keep trying, carbfag. "Uhhh cancer" isn't sufficient; nobody here is advocating that your entire diet be based off salami and bacon for the next year of your life.

OP, keto truly works. After a couple weeks the craving for carbs just goes away for most people. Keep in mind that there's really no point to the diet longterm, though, unless you have a legit medical reason. This is for something that is sure to lose you solid weight if you do it right. I'm talking no more than a year, though. I really hope you're not that fat.

Keeping off the weight is another question which a ketogenic diet is almost definitely not the answer to, unless you SERIOUSLY have legit problems with weight gain.

But, it's a fantastic shorter term experience and I think everyone should try doing it for a couple months in their lives just to know what living with no carbs is like for a while. Also cool to see how your body reacts to getting no carbs and how it switches over to primarily eating your fat from the inside. I personally did this diet while my girlfriend was trying it, even though I was normal weight. I went full spooky skeleton after a couple of months which was fine because I planned on bulking up at the gym the moment I stopped anyways.

I'm on a keto diet and it's not too bad. I do sometimes miss eating bread and sugary stuff but there's plenty of delicious things to eat that don't have a lot of carbs. I don't eat lots of fatty meats all the time though, I eat mostly vegetables and fish. People on the circlejerk keto board claim it's okay to eat lots of bacon and sausage and shit like that because they think ketosis somehow cancels out the health effects of high cholesterol intake, but that sounds like a load of horseshit to me.

But yeah, just ignore all the armchair nutritionists telling you to eat carbs. I've been eating <30 grams of carbohydrates for a few years and my doctor says I'm perfectly healthy, and I trust someone with a degree in medicine more than I trust some trolls on the internet who are probably guzzling Mountain Dew and shoving Doritos in their mouth at this very moment.

Sugar is a luxury, and things like bread and rice are staple foods for starving 3rd worlders who need something cheap and plentiful to eat that gives them lots of energy to perform back-breaking manual labor; we're sedentary 1st world computer nerds and we have no need for those kinds of foods.

>nobody here is advocating that your entire diet be based off salami and bacon
A ketogenic diet is one that induces ketosis by starving your body of sugar. If you consume sugar still, then ketosis won't occur. What you're talking about is just a low sugar diet.

Do you have one of those fancy candy stores that stock a shit load of different candy types nearby? I've seen Bawls and other older energy drinks that are loaded to the gills with sugar at the places around me so I figure they're a staple of most candy stores.

On a related note, I really miss Jolt Cola. When I worked in the mall for the holidays almost a decade ago there was a small candy shop that had a mini fridge stocked with Jolt, Bawls and other sugary drinks; really made those long nights go by faster.

I'm at the point in my life where I know fast food is terrible for me but I still eat it every now and then, and that feeling is great. What type of smoker do you have?

Amazingribs.com is your ultimate resource for all things barbecue. I do a fair amount of smoking and post pics here sometimes. The easiest thing to do is pork shoulder. It takes a long time, but as long as you know how to control the heat it's not hard.

First thing you need is a thermometer. Digital is best, look for one with two probes, one for the barbecue, the other for the meat.

Next, procure yourself a pork shoulder. Any size will work, bone in is always better than boneless. I don't usually smoke less than 8 pounds at a time because that's just how I roll. The fat cap(s) should be trimmed to no more than 1/4 inch to allow the rub to get into the meat.

The night before you want to barbecue cover the meat all over with kosher salt. Put it into a zip lock bag or similar container in your fridge overnight.

The next day, wake up early and get your fire started. I use a chimney starter packed with natural chunk charcoal (it makes a difference) and get my firebox heated while I apply the rub. I also add a drip tray to the smoke chamber (you do not want to miss out on the drippings) and a tray of water to the firebox, and wrap the whole smoker in a welding blanket as an insulation layer.

Apply rub to your meat. I recommend Meathead's Memphis Dust, the recipe for which is available on the site I mentioned.

Once your smoker is heated to 225F add a log to your fire and put the meat in the smoke chamber. Put your thermometer in the meat, close the lid, and DO NOT OPEN IT UNTIL IT IS DONE. You'll have to monitor the interior temperature of the smoke box, and adjust fuel/airflow as necessarily to keep it between 225 and 275. This part is mostly waiting and tossing the occasional log on the fire, best done with several adult beverages. I've had shoulders take anywhere from 8-15 hours, depending on size and shape. Usually it's not done in less than 12.

How do you like your coffee?
Specific grounds? Brands? Shops?

Personally I prefer a dark roast but I'm poor and don't really go out of my way for quality. Starbucks and the like are ASS unless you're getting one of their coffee syrup milkshakes but at that point I feel like calling it coffee is a stretch of the imagination. That's just me though.

A pizza person may be offended by your fat quantity

I make dough with about 10 oz water and 15 oz flour, a pack of yeast, two tsp kosher salt and 1 oz olive oil. I think that's close anyway. I make it just dry enough so it doesn't spread out during the second rise

I don't have a yard bro. is that an oil heater? I hope you drained the oil out first. actually that probably wouldn't be good enough. can't you use a grate like a normal person?

I got confused. I'd not encountered spherical sprinkles but those things are familiar to me.

They're sugar but they're like some sort of super high strength sugar that takes years to dissolve too. They're edible and faintly sugary but I they're not something I'd ever use as a cake decoration because the potential for ruination of teeth is pretty high and they're inconvenient as fuck.

I've seen them too. and they make spherical colored ones too. sprinkles kinda suck. they look nice but they're like eating gravel and they taste like nothing. next time you're at an indian place grab their sprinkles
