Are they are a cake or biscuit? It's important. There's millions of pounds of backdated VAT riding on the answer to this question, cakes and biscuits are zero rated but if they're chocolate covered, biscuits qualify for VAT ergo they'd owe the government huge amounts of money that they've not been charging. However current consensus is that they are cake, because biscuits start hard and go soggy while cake dries out and goes hard over time.

I like them. They're not chocolate topped hobnobs (also made by mcvities) but chocolate, orange and cake. It's good.

It's like a cookie with the texture of a cake, abdominal a stiff shell of chocolate with some kind of fruit preserve underneath. They're alright.

I can find them in America, so you should be able to get them in Canada.

how come so many people don't know what jaffa cakes are? Whenever they're mentioned on this board, somebodys gonna look at them like they're from outer space or some shit.
Wherever I went in the world I could always find them. Europe (extremely popular in the UK and central mainland europe), the US (even the southern states, i've found them in random grocery stores), Asia, these are everywhere.
Also, people acting like bagged milk is something new and Canadian, shit's been common since the 70s in parts of mainland Europe due to storage and economical reasons, especially in eastern/slavic countries. It's actually not Canadian goofyness, it's post soviet sad eastern bloc shit.
I don't know man, I just can't be so ignorant to stuff that's going on in the world around me.

That's pretty weird because shit's available in pretty much 100% of all countries of the world.. Maybe they just aren't looking for it. Like I bet it's on the bottom shelf of your local private owned grocery store.
