Help Me Replace my Peace Tea by Prosper Montagné - Wed, 19 Apr 2017 16:11:02 EST ID:Q0emYH9C No.151850 Ignore Report Quick Reply

Peace Tea, my go-to drink while dabbing or vaping or existing, has come out with "reformulated" versions of their drinks which taste like garbage. My favorite flavor Sno-Berry now tastes like the smell of a public bathroom. I was wiping off the cans because I thought the gas station was spraying them with cleaning products - nope, that's just how they taste.

Does anyone know of any drinks which:

  • Are cheap as shit (IMPORTANT!!!!!!)
  • Don't make you feel like shit (eliminates Arizona and Brisk)
  • Are not carbonated

Please save me or I'll either have to drink nothing but juice and get fat or nothing but water and live a miserable and dull life.

honestly your options are pretty limited if you want it to be as cheap as those. Arizona never made me feel bad, though all I ever drank was the "southern style tea".

I was gonna recommend Gold Peak Tea but it's not exactly cheap. But it is by far the best pre-made tea I've ever bought.

Why don't you just brew your own tea?

If you don't want to do that, you can get these crystal light things. This pack right here has enough to make a couple quarts of flavored tea. If I remember correctly, the peach tea one is pretty good. They also have all kinds of other flavors you could experiment with.

Also, I left out that it's only $3-4. super cheap especially for how much you get.

I'm busy (college + job + drug habit) and lazy during my free time and it's convenient as shit, but that's probably what it will come to. But really even all the brewed tea I've had doesn't quite compare to Peace Tea.

Also the main reason Peace Tea sucks now is because they switched from brewed tea to powdered tea so I doubt I'd like other powdered tea

Try a bunch of herbal teas and see if any do it for you. Then brew your own. There is something really satisfying about smoking pot and drinking a cup of tea, be it green tea or just standard breakfast no sugar with a splash of milk. A pint of milk every few days and a box of teabags a week is probably cheaper than canned drinks too. Probably less sugar and flavouring. If you need the sweetness add a spoon or two of sugar. Success.

>>151867
As satisfying as it may be to make a cup of tea and spend time adding sugar and honey to it until it meets your liking for some people

For me it's more satisfying to crack open a cold drink, try to regain my ability to breathe after a large dab, and experience the sweet salvation of DRINK. As I'm dabbing every few hours in my free time, I'd really like to avoid brewing tea unless it's the only option. I just don't have the time for it.

People have suggested Xing tea (tried one flavor so far - good but not as good) and Arizona (even though I excluded that from the beginning).

What about tea which isn't as cheap then? Maybe $2 instead of $1 for the same amount, I'm still a broke ass bitch. Can't afford no Snapple here, ain't no Bill Jobs I tell you what.

No, it's the fact you've been rendered retarded by consumerism and you're a grade A fuckin American. Only an american would say they're too busy to brew some fucking tea, literally takes 3 fucking minutes, no more, no less. Takes less time than brewing coffee. Takes about the time as instant coffee actually. Let me guess, you're too busy for fucking instant coffee, you only drink starbucks? You can also put 3-4 filters in a big jug so you'll have tea for the entire day with just one brew, though it's not the most optimal but it's still pretty good. You can also drink two types of tea this way, hot proper tea when its brewed, and you can add some ice&lemon when its chilled and there you have your home made sweet tea. Takes 3 fucking minutes of your life.
But no.
You aint got the time for that. You only have time to drink canned shit and do dabs, like a true 2017 american. Think about your life my man.

That's a false comparison.

Look I know you're not a britbong and tea is not a ritual you do but it can be. You relax, clear your mind, anticipate the drink. It's a pleasure to make it if you do it right.

Of course the truth is you're usually doing something else at the same time. Maybe it's functional maybe it's just watching TV or talking to someone.

I don't drink a lot of tea for a resident of the UK, but in general making a hot drink isn't just wasted time. You don't stand over the cup and silently watch it like a hawk. If you want to be lazy like OP you basically can resume doing what you were doing. If you have company you continue talking. If you have things you do in your spare time like cleaning the house or doing the washing up you can wash up a couple of items. You can take a piss because you don't get up very often and well you have needed it for the last 30 minutes.

OP is doing this while smoking pot. He is not giving up working time because he's high. He's broke so he's not taking home anything like $20 per hour.

Also if you work and drink tea you can have your cake and eat it. Fucking tea breaks.

Now

Okay so you make alright money per hour but more free time doesn't allow you to work more hours. If you're broke that is the other argument and it makes the "he could earn money" argument lamer because it's not good money, it's not any more money at all.

You're not sold on drinking tea so you won't enjoy it. I know that if you have that mindset you won't enjoy making tea and you will glass half empty yourself out of all the time you don't use making it when it's brewing. But for a lot of people making tea would take little time and be enjoyable. Especially when you're high.

Okay, so even if you ignore the amount of time it takes to get to and from the store, its gonna take you around 30 seconds to walk to the refrigerator case to get your beverage, and you'll spend anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes in line, depending on the amount of customers, and another 30 seconds to a minute paying for your goods. That's already 1.5+ minutes.

It takes less than 30 seconds to fill a carafe with water and throw a few tea bags and a spoonful of sugar in. You're just making excuses to not do it yourself for some reason none of us can understand. You're just making shit harder for yourself and making yourself look like a moron in the process

yeah op i mean we just dont get it at this point, do you realize the CONVENIENCE store isn't necesarrily more convenient than staying home and putting filters in a cup of water? Like it's just the name for it man, it doesn't mean it's more convenient in all cases... it's marketing you know?
Like how can someone say it's more convenient and takes less time to leave your house, go to your nearest convenience store and buy canned tea, than to stay at home, heat up a cup of water and put filters in it?
Everyone would be ok with OP not wanting to make his own tea, it's just the excuses he makes up, is what makes it literally impossible to understand. Maybe OP should actually think about what's valuable in life? Like he believes the CONVENIENCE store is more convenient, even though he has to walk down the street when he can just stay at home and do whatever he wants while the tea is brewing... whev, you're a hard one op

Fun Fact: Audio transcriptionists make $15 per audio hour. Which usually comes out to at least 1 1/2 or 2 hours. 1 1/2 if you're a pro at that shit. Unless you're doing transcription for medical shit with complex terminology, then you might be making more than that.

Arizona is okay depending on the flavor. Overall obviously it would be better if you made your own but that's not as practical I suppose.
