It is my understanding you don't need a license to keep a gun in your car in Texas as it is considered part of your residence. Does that mean I need to let a cop know I have it if I get pulled over?

It is legal for you to have a gun in your vehicle while driving, without needing a license. Refer to Castle Doctrine, it's what allows you to do it. If you get pulled over, mention it, say where it's at and keep your hands on the steering wheel the entire time so shit doesn't go sideways. The gun also can't be visible as well, like David mentioned.

P90s are shit because it's impossible to get the LE one. So you're stuck with the 90fs model with it's awkward 16" barrel.

Also have fun being poor as you pay out the ass for 5.7 ammo.

Lrn2 SBR and just get it the non-shit version with a 10 or 12 inch barrel.

Not much you can do about being unable to get a full auto version, but almost any actual operator operating operationally who has access to it is going to train for extremely short bursts and single shots anyway.

Also the ammo isn't that expensive and it isn't FN exclusive anymore, a lot of groups are manufacturing it now. I will mention that I personally think the caliber in general is retarded, though, as it's just a fancy .22 WMR and the talk of it being armor piercing is mostly myth, only one version of 5.7 ammo was ever designed to defeat armor and it was only capable of defeated level 2 soft armor, it does fuck all against 3A soft armor which is the modern standard and it won't even dent a level 4 plate.

If you niggers want something useful just get an 8 inch barreled AR-15 pistol and put a SIG brace on it to avoid SBR paperwork and fee, the ATF already ruled it's legal to use the 'arm brace' type devices on your shoulder, they still don't recognize them as 'stocks'.

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE

It is NOT LEGAL to shoulder the SB 15 arm brace or any of it's variants. This constitutes making the pistol into a RIFLE.

The ATF released a secondary letter about this and it is NOT OKAY to shoulder the arm braces.

Please do not spread this misinformation as it is dangerous and can get honest men arrested!

Does certain crystals resonate better with certain types of guns or rifles or does it have more to do with aligning their energies to a certain manufacturer?

I use the quartz hollowpoints because their fragmentation really fucks up a guy's insides.

Plus it creates a weird electromagnetic hoobajoop thing that makes them ok with dying when they're shot.

So they can only get you for assisted suicide.

I've been considering purchasing a rifle for a while now, for recreational shooting and home defense. I served in the military so I know my way around a firearm, although I'm not a gunsmith tier expert or anything. I want something cheap, but functional and chambered in a larger round like 7.62. Any tips or advice you have about purchasing a weapon or finding a good range would be appreciated.

Pretty much all marketing, yeah, coupled with the gov's repeated attempts to arbitrarily ban big scary looking commie guns over the last 3 decades makes them less of a gun and more of an investment hedge against government overreach -- in some peoples' minds. This drives the price way up...imo I think that AK's prices have formed a bottom ahead of the next election and I might pick one up soon on the speculative chance that 18 months from now I will be able to sell it for double the price.

Most AKs of average build quality are horrible to shoot anyway. It's like having a big burly man who grabs on to your barrel and shakes you back and forth repeatedly while you're trying to shoot. That's one of the main drawbacks of long gas piston rifles like the AK is that it's so easy to make "a" gas piston, but any tiny little flaw when machining that piston translates into horrible lateral forces that get amplified repeatedly through the shear weight of the gun's heavy steel and solid wood pieces. DI guns like the AR run circles around the AK when it comes to shooter comfort.

Fully agree.

I would buy a handful of AK's to sell when Hillary is in office and that is about it. Speaking of that, you probably could flip those guns for 2-3 times their profit if you bought tons of cheesy tactical crap and glued it on.

And yes, something that blows literally everyone away when they first shoot and AK is the way they handle. Most people go from shooting guns that have linear motion in only 2 vectors that also return to target somewhat or very naturally.

AK's are the absolute opposite. They move back way more than an AR, they move up way more than an AR and more deject at a 45 degree angle when recoiling which and AR doesn't do at all. It takes a very, very good comp to get an AK to not shoot off at an angle and even then it will always move far more than an AR. Even 5.45x39 versions.

AK's suck to use almost as much as Garands. Everything is stiff/poorly fit on most and the controls are really really fucking poor mechanically. Mag release is very stiff typically and a bit jaded in feel. I never used safeties on any AK due to how fucking stupid the placement and the operation of it is. Trigger will bruise your finger after 100 rounds unless you get an aftermarket trigger. Any stock that is a wire stock or some kind of folder that isn't a big cheek piece will bruise the fuck out of your jaw after ~250 rounds. Taking one down is much more aggravating or difficult than an AR.

Don't get me wrong, if I was wanting to zerg rush Poland, Finnland and East Germany I would love AR's over AK's. AK's were also great when you could buy parts kits for 79 dollars and pump out finished AK's for less than 200 bucks.

Even the cheapest shit parts kits are like 300 now, and you have to buy barrels and shit because of everyone being scared of USC 922(r). AK's are also the gun everyone wants now too so even a good AK used is going to push 1000 dollars easy.

>Ammo.

For The 7.62x39 it is incredibly easy. Just buy the cheapest shit you can. All the steel case is good enough except for maybe Herters. Never buy any ammo made in Pakistan or India. Chinks make good ammo but it is hard to get. Yugo Yellow Tip is some of the most hardcore 7.62x39 made but it is rare as fuck and I don't know the designation for it. AP, AP-i or explosive is all pretty much impossible to find of course. Tula and Brown/Silver Bear is about the best price/performance. Silver Bear is what I would say is about the best steel cased for a reasonable price. Tula is really hit or miss but I've never had a dude round or a round that fucked up. Sometimes you buy Tula and get HP. Sometimes you get silver cases. I've actually gotten silver bullets. Likely Tin plated or even more likely Zinc bullets. It is like an easter egg. You know it is candy but you don't know what kind! I think some early "Red Army Standard" was corrosive. Be wary of corrosive foreign milsurp as always. ____ Bear and Tula are never corrosive.

For .223 it is really just depending on what you want to do. I just use 90% Tula and 10% reloads. Technically, for ammo you want to match grains and twists but I never give a shit about it because 1:7, 1:8 and 1:9 will shoot 55 up to 77 fine enough. 1:12 is nonexistant now so don't even worry about it. Technically, 45-62 is ideal for 1:9. 1:8 is suppose to be good for everything but is less common. 1:7 is operator tacticool because it can "do 62-80." In reality, you won't know any difference as long as you stick around 55-77 which is like all fucking ammo save for weird ass shit that is like 90 cents a round. Steel case is fine just don't shoot steel case then shoot brass case without cleaning. Shooting brass then shooting steel is fine. Brass expands to chamber very tightly. Steel doesn't. Shit gets in the chamber with steel cases and then when you shoot brass that shit sticks up on the case and the extractor slips over the rim or rips the rim off. Those O-ring extractor mods that increase extractor pressure can rip the rim off. Which is a bitch to get out because you need a rod+tree/hammer instead of a screwdriver. T…

Springfield TRP 1911

I saw someone posted a Skallagrim video already, but this one is way more relevant to the subject.

Skall is a great guy, I suggest everyone check his videos, if they have any form of interest in medieval combat and melee weaponry in general.

>>42213 Good video.
I also strongly recommend The Association for Renaissance Martial Arts. They put a lot of effort into going through old manuals and documents.
I also found out about the Kult of Athena through these guys.

Not to spam, but I posted too early. I forgot to mention the Sword Buyers Guide as a good resource.

Good resource in general. ARMA, KOA and SBG reference eachother quite a bit.

Originalcontentguy on /k/ knows a swordsmith whose work I like. They're not exactly wallhangers, but all his blades are brutally functional, and he tests them by driving them through a steel barrel. But the smith has no internet, and you'd have to contact him through OCG.

I used to know another guy who did nice work, but he got sick, fell behind on commissioned work and disappeared.
