Goddamn, I can't believe it. Even Drumpf pays more tax than Bernie, who was my choice.

We need real liberals, not these sacks of shit.

FUDD?

This was a serious post. We need left wing leaders who practice what they preach. Even Trump, in his sick way, is consistent with his beliefs. Bernie screwing the public and paying 13% tax when I'm paying more than double that makes my blood boil.

You people know that Trump may have leaked that ONE form (1040) from 2005 HIMSELF, and it may be one of the few times he ever paid any tax.

His 1995 tax was leaked and it showed how he lost a billion in a casino. The only reason he paid taxes in 2005 because he was required to by law through the Alternative Minimum Tax.

Actually, this came up in the first minute of her interview with the journalist who received it.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/03/15/did-trump-have-his-own-tax-return-leaked-that-was-the-big-question-after-maddow/?utm_term=.adf8bbce97b8

Thing is, he has a past where he leaked shit before. He loved to play the society page reporters. He would make the call under the pseudonym John Barron and say shit like, "I'm very close with Donald Trump, and every movie star throws herself at him." And this was while he was married. Guy is crazy and weird, and does all sorts of sleazy shit.

David Cay Johnston, the guy that received 1995 and 2005 tax returns, said as much. He said this back when the first tax returns (1995 returns) that he thought Trump himself sent it. Probably because Trump thinks it would make him look smart. Trump said as much during the last presidential debate.

Trump pays more because of the marginal tax rates for his bracket and circumstances, lol. It's not like he's being generous.

The point of releasing tax returns is so that Americans can see whether your finances really look the way you say they are, and that you live the way you say you do.

It's also to show whether or not you are loyal to the USA or not. We need to look at his schedule C. His 1040 reveals very little. It's amazing that it isn't required by law for presidential candidates to release their tax returns.

>The point of releasing tax returns is so that Americans can see whether your finances really look the way you say they are

This is the problem with Bernie. Drumpf runs a corporate buisiness, so he can wrangle tax to pay a lower amount.

YET he is still paying more than Sanders who should be taxed at the normal rate for 2015. Bernie, for all his claims of being a socialist, has clearly been abusing tax law to benefit his bottom line.

>>389365
>It's amazing that it isn't required by law for presidential candidates to release their tax returns.

Tax returns don't reveal much outside of amount paid/rate of income paid, as you know a lot better than the anon you're replying to.

What would be necessary for getting a look into the possibly shady dealings of politicians would be to oopen their bank accounts to the public.

Funnily, the only country I have heard of that does this is Iran. (You, as a citizen, can walk into any Iranian library and instantly have access to any politicians incoming/outgoings.)

Well, this might be news to some of you, but men like Trump pay ~84% of all of our taxes combined. The bottom 99% of the USA accounts for 16% of taxes, including Sanders. Maybe it'll make you think differently about whether or not to support the financial success of the big-wigs. That being said, corruption amongst big-wigs is a whole nother issue that does need addressing, of course.

Tax policy is written by the rich for the rich.

If you voted Republican and make less than $50,000 you're gonna get slammed. Just look at recent history.

You can keep your guns and yell "N!gger" in the SAFE WAY, but you're gonna wallow in poverty like always. You'll become more bitter, watch FOX NEWS and play right into their hands. Dumb motherfuckers.

As a rich, white, coastal elite - thanks for your money. I voted to help you, but you voted to pay me more to make your life worse, so can I really complain?

LOL at these folks I saw from WVA at that Bernie town hall. Trump "helps" coal miners by letting their employers dump toxic waste in the local streams, and taking away their healthcare. I'm sure that saved money will "trickle down" to their paychecks. LOL.

Hey, what's a good coal stock I can dump $5,000 into? It's just a weeks pay after all.

so what you're saying is those who make ~99% of all the money are only paying ~84% o the taxes? that still makes no sense at all.

even under a conservative "flat/linear tax" plan they should be paying ~99% of the taxes then. your logic actually shoots yourself in the foot.

The ACA appeal actually hurts Trump supporters the most. Instead of a 60 year old in Anchorage Alaska making 30k a year paying 113 a month, they will now pay 10x that amount.

It doesn't even make much sense to tax the poor in a society as unequal as the USA. You dis-proportionally affect the living standards of far more people to even get close to generating similar revenue.

Rich people also dis-proportionally benefit from society in that it secures them a dis-proportionate share of the resources.

Yeah that always makes me lol when I consider that he's going to affect his supporters worse than the rest of us.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of solid trump supporters at this point are past the point of no return. They trust him so much, and they distrust any other politician or source of information so much, that it doesn't matter what happens.

They won't believe that Trump can fail, even if he fails right in front of them and they can see it happening. If Trump says it, it is true.

Liberals suck just as much as the right wing politicians. We need self governing communities and bio-regions that are smaller and more centered on the resources they are able to sustainably produce and grow, instead of hyper-globalization and politicians.

Death to politicians!
