Any of you ever done Yopo? I plan to, and I'd like to hear from some people who have experience.

nothing really enjoyable about it aside from the visuals

there really isn't any headspace, the 'high' itself isn't euphoric at all, and you'll either be too nauseous or feeling dat vasoconstriction (which is worse than both morning glories and hawaiian baby woodrose)

weed won't help quell any of that, just letting you know

i did it

i removed the shells, grounded the the seeds and smoked in a bong with a few weed. it's harsh and will give you some nausea, never puked tho.

its gives me some nice visuals but comesdown too quickley, i think i might test it with some MAOI

There are two seeds sold as yopo

Yopo and Cebil seeds

Though they both contain 5-meo and bufo, yopo has much higher levels of 5-meo, where as cebil is said to have almost no 5-meo and all bufo. Though it is shown that every seed varies and it is hard to dial in how strong a batch is.

Do a basic prep by toasting the seeds, shelling, pestal and mortar, pickling lime, a little water, let rest in a closed container for 30 mins, bake at a low oven temp until dry. (You can find much more detailed explanations through some basic googling, the nexus has some decent info)

This mixture can be smoked, which tends to be much more comfortable than taking it up the nose. IT doesn't taste great, but it's not the worst thing.

Personally, bufo/5-meo on their own can be pretty uncomfortable, I prefer to take it, then to consume some DMT to potentiate it.

what difference are the effects of lsd made with morning glory seeds and hawaiian wood rose seeds? are there any? are there other seeds used in making lsd? what effects do they give?

never used morning glory, but HWR seeds are way more potent. LSA is not used in making LSD.

OCD and Tripping by Hugh Blonningshaw - Sat, 14 Jan 2017 00:36:07 EST ID:jtC8apri No.873397 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Be careful if you have pretty severe OCD and want to trip. During the trip it's fine and dandy but there's always an inclination to follow the drugs whims which isn't a good idea at all if you have contamination OCD and other weird ritualistic OCD obsessions. I was experimenting to try and break down my OCD and it was easy to disregard it in the psychedelic state but I couldn't quite break the thought processes so I wouldn't be bothered with my disregard for my obsessions when I came back down. I didn't really go overboard and completely disregard my obsessions so I held onto my base state but barely, I almost became a fragmented/traumatized mess. I'm glad I had the last experience I did as I realize now my OCD is going to drive me to commit suicide if I don't deal with it but the psychedelic state is only good to dissect the thought process and not to take any actions that would be contrary to the thoughts in the altered state. I need to disarm all these mental barriers only in my base state!

NEVER FOLLOW THE DRUGS WHIMS when you have OCD, it can easily put you in a permanent traumatic mental hell which I very nearly fell into..it was some horrific feeling shit to get too close like that. I won't be tripping for a long ass time until I got a handle on things.

Yeah, unfortunately. It really does ruin everything including psychedelic trips. I'm getting a handle on it slowly. Some days are just so exhausting when you have to re-direct all your thoughts consciously and think so hard on whether something is or isn't normal to be worrying about ,then go against that thinking if it turns out to be irrational but your brain is still telling you to do whatever stupid ritual it is. I tell myself in my head "it's just the OCD" to try and extinguish all the thoughts but it's like a broken record and doesn't always circumvent them anyway.

>>873409 you think far too much... quit self analyzing every thought you have to ad infinitum and let your consciousness flow, try meditating and clearing your mind. even telling yourself it's the OCD you're just going back to the thought loop garbage, quit trying to consciously redirect your thoughts.

I'm sure I should meditate more, I was doing it daily for awhile. I'm not sure about the self-analyzing thing though. If I just let my thoughts flow I end up spending all day doing stupid things like washing my hands and not eating foods, feeling like i'm being contaminated by chemicals seeping into my nervous system and the placebo effect actually makes it confusing to the point where I don't know whether it's true or not. I think you're saying I should just accept the uncomfortable state anyway and see where I end up? That's what I try to do but atm it takes a lot of mental energy to not end up doing rituals even unconsciously. I've heard the argument that just doing the rituals and not letting it bother me would be better but it hasn't helped me in the past, I just end up wasting more time on them. There's more than just a few compulsions too, so it starts taking up a good chunk of the day.

>>873422
LOL, wow, didn't think there were people on /psy/ who are so judgmental. It takes time to fix bad thinking patterns. The world would be a perfect place if all mental problems could just be fixed in a split second eh?! Stop being a deviant..Do you think I chose to have this shitty, maladaptive thinking pattern? Mental issues aren't something people choose to have like it's a fucking lottery prize mr/miss holier-than-thou perfect human being..lol

The guy who I buy weed from offered me shrooms but because I'm poor as fuck I declined. He told me I'd get them for free if we agreed to do them together (my place is warm and cozy and private), he will hopefully have them by tonight and I'm not gonna lie I'm a little excited.

He's very experienced, I've done psychedelics before (psylocybin, lsd, dmt) but never in great amounts. I think the plan is to ingest an 1/8th each and see where it takes us. I don't really have any activities planned and our subjective view on reality and spirituality is a little different so maybe talking for 6 hours straight isn't a good idea, I'll probably put a movie on, get some snacks, play some video games, maybe try to meditate together.

I'll probably come back here at some point and say hi because I love you guys, wish me luck.

just a random guy here reading this while on trippin on shrooms and weed. The shrooms mixed into a chocolate bar and I can't recall how much it contains. I eat by bars which is actually really helpful to steady my pace on how much i want to ingest. I have eaten 5 bars and for the first hour it was pretty terrible I think people would call it a "bad trip" but honestly i think ive been through worse with cough syrup trips. I just ate a 6th bar and reading this thread. Watching some trailer park boys, whoopin some Teamfortress 2. hell fun.

I would recommend listening to music you like, or music by jenkinson, mike paradinas, afx, luke vibert etc. etc.

also you should draw so you can look back at your art the next day and be like "wow i was fucking high"

I've recently discovered how fucking amazing LSD is for opening up your creative flow. Visual art and music, it just spews it out like a busted tap. I draw a lot and got heavy into music during the last year.

One of my favorite things to do now while tripping is sit down in a well lit room with a blank sketch pad and a pen and go ham on some delicious visual crafting. Any fellow artists here? I make a lot of art and music for myself, and I really do consider myself to be a creative person, but there's just something about LSD in particular that completely opens up the flow. Sometimes I have trouble figuring out what I want to make, but under the influence I legitimately have trouble keeping up with myself.

I can understand exactly why so many artists of varying kinds have a taste for psychedelics.

Op here. I ended up taking 500mics last night and jamming on drums with a guitarist. It was kind of difficult at first because I got paranoid that 1am was too late to be playing drums in a small town with houses on either side of me, but then I let loose and had a blast. It really was a lot of fun and I got down some techniques that I've never tried before.

Drawing is fun on lsd, but banging on drums like some kind of tribalistic mad man is even better. It seems to open up my perception and lets me see a larger picture. I'm better able to keep in time and consider potentials. It definitely seems to increase my short term memory rather than shorten it like I've experienced with a lot of other psychedelics and various hallucinogens. Like, mental capacity times 150%

Please keep doing psychedelics and creating art. I love you

https://soundcloud.com/mrproudfoot/other-side-of-my-soul made this after an awful acid trip that made me relive all my worst C-PTSD nightmares. but no trip is a "bad" trip, they always deal with something you don't want to deal with on an intrinsic level. i felt like i had nothing but hate in my heart for all of humanity, a homicidal rage grew within me, so i expressed in the form of a poem.
