Very weird question, did your visuals from psychedelics change after taking dissociatives? by Thomas Gottingbetch - Sun, 11 Feb 2018 21:21:26 EST ID:ia1l9SyT No.885908 Ignore Report Quick Reply

Basically, i had alot of fractals and spirals on psychedelics. After using alot of 3 meo pcp, my visuals are not as complex. Any similar experiences?

I do not know because I had plat4 experiences with DXM before my first psychedelic. Sorry.

However, I can say that weed, taken in conjunction with psychedelics, became far more psychedelic itself. Good dro used to just give me time-space perception changes and general feel goods, but now a few hits of green has me seeing faint but noticable patterning.

My visuals remaines unchanged between both substances, but pcp(and maybe analogues) can cause actual damage. That's why I settled on DXM for my dissociative use, plus its mild psychedelic edge. Still you should just abstain from substances and try to be healthy for a bit and try again. You may never get there as you once did, but remember your brain changes with age too, so there's also that.

Visuals are about the same, I noticed my thoughts aren't as in depth or clear though after all the dxm I did. I've been sober for a few months and I'm feeling a lot clearer and my memory's gotten way better but I don't know if I'll ever be totally back. Don't listen to those guys on dis, this shit will fuck you up

How much, how often and in what period did you do it?

Everyone on there agrees it can and will fuck you up, but if you don't binge you don't need to worry.

done it heaps, no noticable changes, am very mentally stable and handle psychedelics well, i cant speak for everyone, I can only thank my effort in practising meditation and accepting change into my life, so like whatever yo, yeah nothings changed, if i combine dis with psy tho, the /dis/ gives an interesting sandbox environment for the /psy/ visuals, they work together very well, usually just outright intensifying them, otherwise i dont really find a difference in psy visuals after /dis/

Not DXM specifically, that's why its my chosen dis and I've done it hundreds of times in gram plus doses, BUT pcp(possibly analogs) and to a lesser extent ketamine are FOR SURE neurotoxic. Some other obscure dissociatives are SUPER-DEEE-DUPER neurotoxic and plain not worth the subjective experience of feeling your brain die.

Ketamine? Neurotoxic? You're fucking retarded mate. The only damage ketamine does is to your bladder for some weird reason IIRC.

Man check out dizocilpine. Olneys lesions. Ketamine addict brain scans. Definitely neurotoxic. Don't get me wrong i love my 3 meo, but i don't deny its a very stupid decision on my part

Looks like Olneys lesions are controversial. There are unpublished papers with tests on monkeys that imply apes (like us) can handle much higher doses than rats due to different brain structures.

I had a friend that binged on dxm for a while and got noticeably dumber after he stopped. He ended up getting a brain scan and he did I fact have lesions on his prefrontal cortex, now maybe it's unrelated but I think that's proof enough for me. Not to mention brain damage isn't disputed, it's just lesions specifically that are "unconfirmed"

i think if you do a few trips a year your more or less as lucky in terms of brain health as the next person and certainly luckier that the majority of population who fail to take in minimum requirement of dha and epa. the dissociation is absolutely fascinating and unique among other kinds of hallucinogens. i haven't been there but people say dxm can go as far as aya or shrooms, which if true would make it a minuscule price to pay i think for an adventurer like you.

For what it's worth, I've had this happen for DMT through regular use. I've been tripping about once or twice a week for a few months, and I don't really get crazy patterns or colors anymore...it's more about headspace, sensations, and vague imagery. Still great, but very different. I've never tried dissociatives.

No, if anything they intensified in complexity and frequency.

But I used dissociatives AT MOST 1x per week, and that was never for long, as I knew about the infamous dissociative tolerance.
