How do I get rid of them? I'm meditating as hard as I can.

Induce a very sudden change in setting if possible (through music possibly, or putting yourself in a different location). Sometimes this just brings temporary relief and I fall back into it but I keep changing setting if I can (and ideally don't go back and forth between the same settings)

Don't fight the loops. Just let them pass.

You are the in control of your brain, not the other way around. Try to focus on what specific thought or moment caused the loop and resulted in the repetitious occurrence. Solve the puzzle, solve the loop

>breaking the loop by thinking

That's where you're wrong kiddo. Thought loops are broken by actions.

The single WORST thing you can do is try to end the loop by explaining it. Just get rid of it and distract yourself.

Once, I got caught in a loop with someone else, where I tried to explain to him what was happening and the process of me explaining it triggered it again. It was fucking horrifying, but you can break it if you don't over analyze it to infinity. It is a loop for a reason.

I usually enjoy thoughtloops. I keep following lines of reasoninfg starting from different beginning points and wind up going down the same exact lines of thought and wind up at the same conclusion regardless of starting point.

It produces a very profound sensation that isnt all that unenjoyable, just is what it is.. and what it isnt, simultaneously. Of course, thats more or less the conclusion the thought loops bring me to about everything. The sensation is merely the palpable perceptable intuitive feeling of that conclusion manifest.

Not being able to escape makes me feel profoundly peaceful. Any apparent potential for escape is just another way of being stuck. It mirrors reality and existence itself i feel, and that realization is what allows me to let go and feel peace

Thanks /psy/ you're a real helpful bunch.

I figured out where thought loops come from. You think a thought and expect a response. When there's no response, you think it again.

I saw a priest about it it and felt better immediately.

Also check my postime, blaze it.

It's all fucking mind cancer.

Religion, "spiritualism". It's all cultural mind parasites. It's all the enemy. God is your enemy, chakras are your enemy.

Meditation is not inherently spiritual nor religious. Its benefits are proved by science. You can be an atheist and meditate.

Yeah man, you're either my friend or you're my enemy. If something has negative sides to it at all, it's my enemy. No good can come from something that causes bad, it's all the enemy.

Oh yeah and if this sounds like absurd and shallow over-generalizations, it's because you're my enemy. The mind itself is responsible for producing the cancer that kills it, it's super enemy number 1 bad.

Look this is the fucking problem right here.

>yo, you're not culture, you're a human being. go fucking live your own life
>HOW DARE YOU ATTACK CULTURE! IMMA GO DEFEND CULTURE

This is exactly what Terence McKenna talked about. What Richard Dawkins talked about. It's the fucking culture parasite turning you into an attack drone, host and breeding ground for itself.

Thought loops? I hate thought loops, they really drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. My parents locked me in a round room and told me to sit in the corner. Corner? I couldn't find one. That really bugged me. Bugs? I hate bugs, they really drive me crazy. Crazy? I was crazy once. They put me in a room. A rubber room! A rubber room with rats, a rubber room with rubber rats! And a wheel, a wheel that made me laugh. I laughed so hard I died! Died? I died once, they buried me in the ground with worms, worms that crawled into my brain, they really drove me crazy! Crazy? I was crazy once...

Yesterday I went to a concert and the band playing was trying hard to fuck up people who had taken acid, they played this song and when it ended they started playing it again, making the whole thing crazier as the music progressed. I was really stoned at the moment, so I mas just mesmerized by it, but if I had taken anything else I would have been fucking losing it while watching. Just wanted to share this with you guys because you're my only friends.
