I was planning on tripping on some cid tonight, what would be some good movies/shows to watch while tripping that would be on netflix or Hulu?
I've liked Amelie, The Matrix, and Enter the Void while tripping, anything with good scenery with bright contrasting colors as well as a decent plot. Not necessarily trying to find anything similar to the movies I posted, but just good stuff in general that would help compliment the trip. Also any albums to listen to, because during the hardest part of it I normally just have my eyes closed listening to music for a few hours.

I like Nature Documentaries while tripping, makes me feel animalistic and I never finish them because then I wanna go out and run around in the woods

Instead of suggesting the typical trippy, psych, nature movies, I'll suggest The Outsider on Netflix.

It's not the best out there, but the atmosphere and progression of the story is really smooth. Also the intro sequence of the film appeared to mimic the visual patterns you see on 'cid which really tripped me out. inb4 last samurai ripoff story about white man being accepted into japanese culture.

Trailer if interested, happy tripping my man. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNNcl2mEHzQ&t

while this is a comnon critique, i believe this isn't the case, however I understand why its criticized as so, I see a message in the film, to me, it outlines the love and commitment people put into doing things they love, amidst an epic love story, epic action, to me, its a perfect movie, i loved it, i watched it while tripping recently, and it truly captured me, and i relate in the way that humans want to be the best as what they do, we strive to improve and become the best, its very subtle, but there is indeed substance to the film.

Its my favorite film, and im not even a massive anime fan, me and me pa watched it one day and it blew our minds, glad i found out about it.

Well, yeah, I mean it's fucking not that bad, some other movies touch up on much more fundamental topics in my opinion which is always good for psys.

I'd recommend:

2001 space odysey
waking life
akira
eternal sunshine
the matrix
nausicaa
XRA
the fountain
vanilla sky

If you want colors with very cool fights and poetic story, check out Hero (2002). Ghost in the Shell (1995) is surpassing Matrix and other cyberpunk works by taking its time to unload. The Man from Earth (2007) is a great movie, especially more so if you have imaginative mind and listen to John's tales. Infinity War is a recent vibrant movie with amazing scenes and a really cool villain protagonist.

Watch Cloud Atlas or Speed Racer. The Wachowskis prob wrote all their scripts/drew their storyboards on psychs. They're both women now, after all.
