I don't know, but getting the government involved in your relationship and popping out a few kids will probably make it worse.

Maybe there is something about yourself you feel is less than average. Maybe lack of father figure to show pride in you. It's generally what I can think of for me, and my childhood fucked me until I wound up a college vet in college on the Dean's list. It all feels hollow or not real. Kinda like I'm missing validation from people important to me maybe. I dunno, I feel being aware of it lets me beat it in a sense. Kinda like I know it's in my head I guess. My success is fairly measured and documented, so I'd have no reason to guess otherwise.

I use to powerlift years ago. What fed do you compete in and what weightclass? Do you do equipped, raw with wraps or just knee sleeves?

What did you expect success to feel like mate?

If I had to guess, there is a problem in how you contextualise your existence, relative to the universe. You should strive to be safe, content and feel loved.

Success is fuck all, other than a brief orgasm of satisfaction, pride and happiness. Once it sets in, you get complacent with that feeling and it no longer matters. This is why many “successful” people are chasing bigger and bigger dreams - they are chasing highs.

Perhaps you should use this talented brain of yours and your resources for something bigger. Maybe you need to do something charitable - help talented youngsters or drug addicts or neglected animals idfk and idc.

Maybe you just lack direction. Idk mate this is a hard thread due to lack of intel. My speculations are probably all wrong.

You're beyond the pain... it's like when you get a sore throat and you think "why have I never felt good?" or you reflect, "I don't even remember what it feels like to not feel my throat in terrible pain."

You're so in it you do not even know it. Maybe take a trip to Lakewood NJ or even Toms River for that matter and take a look at poverty.

So you don't get happy by chasing after it, but you also don't get content without filling up your cup. I don't know about successful though. Is it important?

Wait, what, really? We'd go up to ocean county all the time to hit the beach for the day. Is downtown and surrounding burbs really that poor? I don't know jack shit about that area but I just find it really hard to imagine lol. Paterson and Newark sure, definitely shitholes but I had no idea that central jersey beaches were that shitty.

Id say theres okay spots then really bad an dilapidated areas. The heroin epidemic is starting to show its colors. I grew up here so its easy for me to see the change. Lakewood is more and more like newark everyday as well as many surrounding areas

raw/open/ whatever fed, dont even use a belt or sleeves of any kind, I think they're annoying. Belts are uncomfortable.

the "chase another high" is actually good advice and, I am able to do so if I am safe, content and feel loved, which I have. I think your post hit it on the head, actually. Just bored as fuck. Lets try computer coding that IVe been thinking of

Solid advice. Constant success is not something to strive for, its not something that exists and where it does it teeters into the morally questionable ; look at any cunt CEO, like Musk and Trump or the unsustainable, like any rockstar.

Just. Let. Go.

Because your childhood, or rather perhaps just the end of it, left mental scars?

Or maybe its having to find your own way, out to the wolves at 18, you maybe set your life up just to survive and it went well, but wasnt your "living your dreams" or whatever.

I was pretty successful before becoming disabled, but didnt like it because it was the career field I was pushed into rather than what I wanted to do.

I would like to say I agree with your argument but, I do not know if I sought out to pursue a dream. My dream was simply to live comfortably and escape my hell. Now I escaped my hell and I dont know if this is what I want to do. I would like to say my job and business brings my fulfillment and I am in a happier mood from work even when I enter my work with a bad mood. I think that means I have a job I can do forever, at least without wanting to kill myself.

OP you sound like you feel lucky, but not successful. Get over it. You earned what you have. Stop having impostor syndrome.
