where can i get rolling papers that have the orange tip where the filter goes? like, what are they called? every time i search 'rolling paper' or 'cigarette rolling paper' on ebay plain white ones or transparent ones
>>153626They're actually called cigarette "tubes". wonder where they came up with that? They're pretty reasonable, my local tobacco dude sells 'em for $2 a carton. Oh, I hope you know you require a machine to put the tobaccy in the tubes, but they can be had cheap, too. Zig-zag makes one thats simple to use (though you might fuck up a first, don't be discouraged, practice makes perfect) and it's like $5.
>>153630I used these once, okay for novelty I guess. For some reason the filter end is printed on the wrong side about half the time though :/

What E Cigs do you guys enjoy?
>>154797Ignore my previous question about the heads, that was dumb in hindsight. I do have two-ish questions now, though.First, what exactly does resistance effect? If I get the wrong one, will it outright not work with my VAMO, or will it effect the vapor, or what? I've never mucked about with mods before, have no clue what it means.Second, I saw the vivi nova mentioned before a few times in this thread. Do you know how the heads on it compare to the kanger in terms of lifespan and how the tank compares in terms of quality? Worth getting instead, or go for the kanger outright?
My first e-cig was a Blu. It was alright, but not as strong as I'd like and the cartomizers didn't last long. Gave up on that thing for a couple years.Recently heard my town has a vape shop, so I went and got what I believe to be an eGo Twist with clearomizers, and a couple bottles of liquid.Got Smooth Tobacco, Lemon Cake, and some shit called Indian Paintbrush. I'm pretty sure the guy who owns the shop mixes his own flavors and shit. I tried the first two but I still haven't tried Indian Paintbrush.I'm almost hesitant to, because indian paintbrushes are flowers (my state flower, actually!) and I'm not sure how that's going to taste. But holy fuck I love this thing
>>154805Yep, eGo battery and a carto/clearo/tank is the cheapest way to get set up for it. There's a metric shit-ton of flavors, companies that blend the PG/VG ratios to your liking, etc.
So for those of you with clearomizers, how long does it generally take you to burn through them? Because I'm emptying these 1.6ml bastards pretty quickly
so i cant get this right now gotta wait to pay the bills this month but soon i was thinking about getting an e cig to save money i spend 24 dollars a week on cigs and started looking around and e cigs look super cool. I smoke for nicotine and the ritual and this covers all that plus cool flavors and its alot better on the health(long time smoker)i found this anyone have any recomendations?! http://www.caterpillarvapes.com/e-cigarette-kits/bauway-boxed-e-cig-pcc-kit/It looks cool and seems like it has everything i need exept the nicotine but i might try a headshop around here just looking for some info if anyone has this!Peace
Anybody smoke these bad boys? IMO they're the best cigarette you can buy, if they were discontinued I could easily quit. They are hard to find though, they're hit or miss at gas stations around here (Raleigh, NC) but always at drugstores like Walgreens. They're deliciously smooth, non-menthol, and not as light as turkish golds or silvers (or those god-awful platinums).I just see very few people smoking them. If they're in your local stores you should give them a shot.I also have seen the turkish design pack but it's green. I assume it's camel turkish menthol or something? Has anybody tried those? I'm not the biggest fan of menthol but with summer on our heels I'd be willing to give them a shot
>>154873I quit smoking when they quit selling those. That's how pissed I was.
Are there any Kiwis or Aussies on this board that know where to get these? I've been looking for so long, and I don't think I could even find them on the road and they've got damn near everything there
>>154873whoa. I work on in a gas station (it's like a half gas station, half subway, and I work at the subway half) and I saw a few packs of those behind the counter and wondered what they were...tomorrow I'm going to go buy some of them.
>>154886buy ALL of them. sell on ebay. I shit you not, some of us would cut off our left hand for just one more pack of turkish jades. And aspies will probably pay for the empty pack.
A CHALLENGER APPEARS!>Smoke nothing but filters and turkish royals.>I always try new packs to see whats up.>Camel fans, don't be turned off by the label. This new blend is some serious shit.

just curious how old you guys were when you first used a tobacco product. stories are welcome too.mine's kind of funny looking back. i grew up in a hick family and my father was a dipper. when i was 10 years old i got caught with a can of skoal in my back pocket that i stole from my dad. i never even opened it up either, i just wanted the worn "ring" in my jeans that my dad had because i wanted to be like him. anyway he caught me, opened up the can, said "oh you wanna be a big man now?" he put a huge pinch in my mouth and told me "don't you dare spit it out." several minutes later i fucking puked everywhere.gotta say it kept me away from both dip and cigarettes until i was an adult. to this day i still can't dip, although i'm a smoker. i tried some of my friend's grizzly a couple years ago and puked almost instantly lol.
I was 15, in the bathroom with my mom where she used to smoke. I asked to go with her since I was curious. She gave me a marlboro and I coughed my lungs out the first hit. She handed it to me after and I took small hits. After a while I was buzzing hard and had to lay down, listening to Queen, fuck yeah.
I must have been like 14 and me and my friend decided were in a church parking lot picking up his sister and wanted to look BADASS and MEAN haha. I didn't start smoking until I was 19 or something
15, it was some weeks after I started smoking weed
loling at some these stories.>Be 13 stoner, dont smoke tobacco its un healthy and addictive blahblahblah>Be 14 Starting to not give a fuck about everything, 2 of my best friends had a can>Told me to do a horseshoe ( I had no idea what it was at the time )>Do it, feels like being high a little bit>Feel sick in stomach so I said whatever idgaf and made myself throw up>Feel awesome for the next 40 minutes>Smoke cigs occasionally since then because I just like smoking in general.

>be 17>ditch school for the first time in my life, to hang out with one of the popular girls>we smoke weed at the park and look at clouds>she asks me if i want to split a cigarette with her>dont want to ruin the mood so i say yes>took a couple hits>'oh my god this gets me higher than weed! Why is this legal?'>it was actually pretty funanyways, she ended up being my first girl kiss later that day. Two days later I got marlboro green 100s and smoked them with a friend because "menthol is minty, therefore better, and 100s are longer so its a better deal". I smoked two and threw up and got soooooo sick, to this day i cant stand marlboro greens.

Hey there /smoke/I've been a fairly consistent stoner for the last 3 years, currently I'm 21. For at least the last year I've been an every day toker. Recently I've decided I need a new job and have given up weed, sadly. Now I've never actually tried tobacco, not a cigarette or cigar ever, but since I started toking I've grown to love the act of smoking plant matter, not even getting high but just the act of smoking it self. I've been putting a bit of thought into trying cigars but I'm unsure, I've also considered shisha but I'm not sure if it's worth me investing in a hookah when I've never tried it either. I have a fairly obsessive personality and I never wanted to get stuck on cigarettes. I don't know much about cigars and I wouldn't mind a few opinions on if I should give it a go and what kind of cigars you'd recommend if so.
“I must point out that my rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after, and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them.”~Winston ChurchillGive it a shot if you want, blowing 5-10$ on a single to potentially discover a life-long hobby and pleasure isn't too painful. If you do get into it, you'll have to do some research yourself and see what you like the sound of. I wish I could help more on the topic, but have only tried one and was gifted another by a friend. The one I tried was an Arturo-Fuente, Chateau Fuente, and I was gifted a Flor de las Antillas by a friend who told me it was considered the cigar of the year last year or something. As soon as I save up some, I'm buying a humidor and some starter packs. I reccomend both if you can get them/don't mind spending some money.Honestly, if you do invest in a box, paint Pandora's on it, because there are so many brands, off brands, non-brands, and local rolls (if you live in or travel to the caribbean/central/south america or almost anywhere else) and such a large variety of makes, vitolas, gauges lengths etcetera, etcetera, that sorting through it to find what you like or dislike is mind boggling and part of the fun.Hope any of it helps.
hi /smoke/, I started dipping a couple weeks ago and I was curious as to what brands and flavors you guys like. I've never really used tobacco much before I started dipping, only the occasional cigar or odd cigarette when I'm offered one. I don't dip very often (only 2-3 times a day, usually when walking to class/home) so one tin lasts me a while. Therefore price isn't much of a concern for me. So far I've tried three different types:Skoal peach long cut, in my opinion the best tasting, gives a nice buzzCope long cut, nice and gives a good buzzGrizzly wintergreen pouches, gives the strongest buzz by far (a bit TOO strong for me, but that may be because I have a really low nicotine tolerance). I like the convenience but the flavor is kind of gross and I prefer the feeling of loose dip to the pouchesAnyways I was just curious to hear what you guys would recommend to a noobie. Also dipping tobacco general I guess.
I grabbed a can of copenhagen straight and extra long cut natural in arizona yesterday. All the other ones (even grizzly) were $5.50. These were $2.84 each.
>>154829So does that mean fine cut is dry and doesn't produce as much spit? I'm new to dipping
>>154869Cut in american snuff has nothing to do with moisture.Though, finer cuts go dry quicker, and fine cuts will hit you quicker.
I started dipping yesterday after not using any tobacco for ~3 years or so. Grizzly Wintergreen Pouches. The flavor is fine, but I actually don't notice much of a buzz at all, at least compared to the hit I used to get when I smoked. I expected more of a buzz but figure maybe I'm just dipping wrong or something. Am I supposed to put it in the middle of my lower lip, or the sides, or what? This is my first experience with dip, so any advice is welcome. So far I've only tried 2 but didn't get any kind of buzz at all (other than a tingle sensation on my lip).
>>154884Where you put it is personal preference, but change it up so it isn't only one area taking all the damage for it. I put it off to one side an inch or 2 from my front teeth and then a week later, I switch to the other side.Pouches are weaker. Try some regular longcut. Grizzly wintergreen fucked with my mouth and made where it was in my lip pucker up like an asshole. I think wintergreen in general does that. I'd recommend you try copenhagen straight. It's sweet with a slight flavor that doesn't cover up the tobacco flavor and gives me a buzz still.A buzz from dip is different from smoking. If that doesn't work for you even with a big pinch, get some snuff. Haven't tried it yet, but it releases the nicotine faster.
I've always wondered about herbal cigarettes which contain little to no tobacco. Does anyone know any good brands available over the internet or in Canada or that I could grow and eventually roll by myself?
I dont know much about bought herbal cigarettes, but I have tohught about growing my own herbs to use in smoking blends. I found this site randomly after searching for blends. Seems to have some good recipes http://home.teleport.com/~howieb/smoking/smoke1.html
I can tell you of two brands I know. Greengo, and Knaster. They're tobacco free and I sometimes use them to bulk out joints as I'm not a regular tobacco smoker. Greengo tasted like arse and didn't burn well at all. Knaster cherry flavour tastes good but it's full of twigs and bark which you have to pick out before smoking. Very tedious, and IMO not worth it.Neither of these has any psychoactive effect beyond the carbon monoxide giddiness. I have yet to find a good tobacco substitute.
>>154790>Herbal Cigarettes>Good pick one, and only one.
>Herbal Cigarettes>Good
>>154857This. I gave clove ones a shot because I like kreteks. Never again. It was disappointing if you smoke tobacco cigarettes even semi-regularly because you get nothing from them. Hell, you're still sucking in carcinogens without even getting any nicotine
>I've always wondered about herbal cigarettes which contain little to no tobacco. They taste like crap, contain no nicotine but all the tar of cigarettes.>Does anyone know any good brands available over the internet or in Canada No because no such thing exists.

LOL >methane is found in dog poop and also in cigarette smokewell its also in the atmosphere, so i guess we're breathing in dog poop all day every day.>urea is found in cat pee as well as cigarette smokeits also in dish soap, tooth whitening products, skin cream, moisturizers, and hair conditionerssome anti-smoking groups say that cigarette filters are made of nail polish remover because they're made of CELLULOSE ACETATE, which sounds similar to ACETONE, and since they dont know a single thing about chemistry, they tend to draw these retarded conclusions.
>methane is found in dog poop and also in cigarette smoke
>urea is found in cat pee as well as cigarette smoke
>>154845But you don't ingest any of that stuff that Urea is also found inSecondly I did some research and discovered cigarettes DO use Acetone as well as Cellulose Acetate. In fact not one source did I read ever confused the two as you described. http://dhss.delaware.gov/dph/files/acetonefaq.pdf

So how do you guys deal with the idea of getting cancer from smoking? It never used to scare me at all but just over the last few days I've been getting this sharp highly localized pain in my lower left lung when I: breath deeply, stretch the area, lay on my side. I haven't had it checked out or anything but I did some googling and the results are troubling. Idk I'm sure this thread won't get much attention because thinking about it I never gave even a moment's consideration to the realities of the health effects because I couldn't really conceive of dealing with them. I am about to rip a bowl full of Marlboro anyway. I am 21 btw. Smoking weed and tobacc only 3 years
>>154803I don't worry about it much because there's not much cancer in my family.A heart attack is likely to get me first anyway.
First thing you should know is that any illness you look up on the internet from a splinter to the common cold are going to lead to a painful, agonizing, drawn out death. The webs is really the worst place to look up medical advice, because it all will tell you you are going to die.
>>154823Smoking also decreases your lung's ability to clean itself. That's why when you quit smoking, you start hacking up phlegm and tar and not so much when you are smoking.
I've thought I got cancer about 3 times. throat C.. scares the shit out of me. mainly cause I'm a model and that shit would ruin my life even if I did survive it. I'm only 21 though as well, but I've had times when I've smoked Heavy, even though it was weed. like 10 bowls in a row with two other people. or that time we smoked 5 blunts, us three.. fuck. times when my throat felt like it was bleeding and I had veins popping out my tonsils and shit. yet I still smoke spliffs on the regularwhat's the matter with me
I've cut back my smoking quite a lot and I've started vaping my weed very regularly (Aside from spliffs). I'm not counting on the CBD in the weed to keep me cancer free, but the price of tobacco and my desire to fully switch over to ecigs means that I'll be making a 30 gram bag of Port Royal or American Spirit is going to last me a very long time
Does anyone else use cases? I roll my own and it works to keep my goods safe. In addition I believe it adds elegance compared to the pack it came in. Here's mine I use the other side as a wallet.
I use to roll joints and put them in one of these. They are definitely more protective of your goods than any cardboard box.
Are there any cases that /smoke/ would recommend?
I roll mine when I need a smoke.
Hi can anyone recommend what strains I shoud grow and why? http://www.tobaccoseed.co.uk/Cigarette_Tobacco.html
>>154839Depends what you want. Burley for nicotine, virginia for sweetness and flavor, turkish for flavor. Grow all three and make your own blend. What specific kind you get doesn't matter too greatly. Check out http://www.howtogrowtobacco.com/ for more info. I've gotten a lot of info from there.
