I've scanned through this board in search of some sort of inspiration and I found that there's been like only 2 or 3 threads ever that deal with women's fashion, so maybe I should start one? I'd love it if this became a thread for people to post images of outfits they liked worn by women or etc.

Anyways I came here myself because I'm feeling lost on what to wear anymore. I'm a girl and I've always had a tendency towards cross-dressing or trying to appear androgynous, I've basically always worn comfy tshirts and flannels/sweaters and pants, now as I'm getting older I feel more comfortable with the idea of expressing some feminity and I feel like I don't want to dress so sloppily anymore. I've already just gone through a phase of wearing high-waisted shorts and short skirts and adhering to the popular fashions right now, but I just don't find them comfortable? I'm also not that interested in looking "sexy" anymore, I'm done showing off my legs or bust, I hate showing too much skin with all these trends and the unwanted attention they bring. I still want to look good though? Wat do?

>TL;DR how do I dress stylishly as a woman but still stay modest when all the trends seem to be pushing towards immodesty?

So here's the deal. I'm piss poor and can basically afford only one item of each category. But if I find something perfect, I won't mind spending on it a lot of money, if I couldn't find anything decent at some small shop or a secondhand.

Here's what I need:

  • Jacket or a coat for winter. If it's jacket, it has to be thin, not like a fucking fat suit.
  • Footware for winter. I was thinking galoshes of EVA, high boots or MAYBE regular boots, but high enough so that water doesn't get inside the zipper or the opening with shoelaces.
  • Pants. I like cargo style the most - black, wide on the bottom, water resistant, practical pockets throughts the whole fucking thing, not just the sides and ass. They should look nice and stylish when going out on the street, but I also want to be able to wear them on some hunting trip.
  • Hat

Now the challenge is: these should all fit together.

Any suggestions?

Will post some pics close or very close to what I want.

So many people in this thread making assumptions about region and climate. Here's my version.

  • Jacket: You're getting two, suck my dick. One is going to be a waterproof, somewhat breathable shell, black, minimal logo. The other is going to be a light down jacket you can throw on underneath.
  • Boots: Sorels, baffins, red wing, I dunno, get something good at keeping cold/water out.
  • Socks: Darn Tough.
  • Pants: Kuhl, arcteryx, MH, MR, etc. all have something like what you're looking for. It's a tall order though, and you can expect them to look like shit very quickly if you go hunting in them.
  • Hat: I don't care, it's a hat.

Note: There is probably a local company that makes stuff out of wool and leather and down and such at a fraction of the cost you'd pay for a major brand.

find some padding to create the interior part, then it looks like a leather derivative used as the exterior texture,

the padding must interconnect with eachother so that the points hold in place through natural body movement, but of course it shouldn't go agaisnt it, a tleast in the areas where it looks to be important.

you probably need a sowing machine, and soldering to make it

good luck op

Get a different haircut, at it's current length the sides stick out and makes your head look bulbous. So either let your hair grow out or get your sides and back shortened. I wouldn't necessarily say you have a babyface, you have some decent jawline geometry. In fact your existing glasses just might work fine if you can get a better style going on with your hair.

Pic related, a short haircut that I think looks similar to your type of hair.

So maybe I'm delusional from watching too much NGE when I was younger but I really want grey-blue hair so I can look like teh-rei. I also have this feeling that since I'm young I should have wild hair at one point, before I properly get old.

Pic related is my ideal swag, but honestly i worry that I would feel ridiculous comparing myself to this handsome asian man when I go to the hair dressers. Does anyone have any thoughts? Will I look retarded? I already have a pretty individual style and I I believe 100% that I have the confidence and personality for it. I just worry that, as someone who was literally put almost zero thought into their hair and never styled it in my whole life, it will be a bit of a mix up to suddenly go to silver-blue and styled. I do like pic related though, is it a hard look to pull off?

Fucking liquid eyeliner by Wesley Dankinfock - Thu, 07 Aug 2014 12:02:19 EST ID:C3gETTi1 No.59091 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

Hi /st/

I have serious problems with make up. I bought a nice liquid eyeliner swearing to myself I would be able to use it, but after several experiences, and a bunch of tutorials, I still seem to be unable to do it.

The problem is: I can't follow any tutorial 'cause my eyelashes are naturally super long, full, and curved, so anything more complex than a simple line is impossible without getting my lashes completely caked and dirty. I can only do simple lines holding the corner of my eye, pulling (like a racist imitating an asian, ya know?) and keeping them closed during all the process. Using pencils are a bit easier, but doing the classic cat eye is still out of question.

Someone out there has the same problem? What can I do?

I've seen lots of tuts use tape to help shape the line around the eye

though honestly I don't see why getting liquid eyeliner on your lashes is a problem, I usually go over mine with black liquid eyeliner to cover the parts my mascara doesn't reach..?

good luck to you anyway wesley, liquid eyeliner is the devils creation (right beside false eyelash glue), but I'm sure you'll figure something out!

I dunno man, do you even really need eyeliner like that if your lashes are that nice? Wearing too much eyeliner on top will hide them. If I were you I'd just wear a little eyeliner, a bit of colour and a good mascara to highlight them. Thick eyelid liner is for people with weak eyelashes imo.

If you really wanted to still, you could have a professional do your makeup for you with what you want so you can see how it can be done on your face and get some advice.

What are those loop/strap things that use to be on the side of cuffed shorts? Is there a particular name for that style? Remember them being everywhere, and now they're gone.

Can't seem to find any info on them. Was looking for some cuffed shorts, but can't find those little side straps anymore. That little bit of flair that just made them somehow cuter. Maybe I'll have to sew one on.
