I like the mod style very much, and am looking to make it my own.
What's a good guide to this style for men?

So in Vietnam it was mostly draftees, same as in WW2, Then in the pig state we launched fake wars, and some decent honorable young mens signed up to kill foreign strangers for arbitrary reasons based on the concerns of Halliburton and the like.

Am I shit to wear these in public ? Will strangers feel hate towards me for wearing them ? They are so light and comfortable, yet I feel like a war criminal just wearing them in the yard.

Did I mention how light, tough, and comfortable they are ? No good for working though, Plastic that thin cant handle real work, need leather. In olden days had some South American combat boots, and they were were so shitty, and uncomfortable, They were leather, but stiff, and lacquered, A good pair of boots can be hard to find.

I'm female and I still rock combat boots sometimes, especially with a metal (usually Pantera) or horror (House by the Cemetery) shirt and some black jeans. Combat boots are so comfortable, and they help me walk more correctly (with shoes that are of a weaker material, I kind of limp, one foot turns inward and drags on the ground. The strong leather and thick rubber molds my foot in a fashion that minimizes my gait. It doesn't make me walk perfectly, but it's a noticeable improvement). Especially in winter when it's slushy, icy or snowy, the combat boots help grip the ground better and are quite waterproof.

Wear those fuckers, OP.

I'm not from the USA so people here have a different view towards people that wear military gear.

Is there any relatively easy way to like, remove tattoos, not for me, for my girlfriend, like, against her will I mean. I could get her drunk and/or completely tie her down and start the removal process on her arms and shoulders, I wanna be able to look at my girlfriend shirtless without feeling the urge to vomit in my mouth a little. Its not like I have to worry about her breaking up with me over this, she and her toddler daughter are somewhat financially-dependent on me. Plus she has a good sense of humor, so she'd probably find it funny how far I was willing to go to accomplish this.

I find tattoos fucking repulsive on women . . which is sorta odd, considering the mountains of weird fetishes I have, like I even think facial scars and/or 3rd degree burn deformities can look cool on a woman(provided she was pretty b4 getting them. I'll sense it, somehow..). I wanna make her pretty again.

I would change my philosophy toward tattoos and what a body really is. It's a map of our experiences in life. Scars, stretchmarks, tattoos, wrinkles. The more you got the more you've been through. Erase somebody's body experience and you erase a part of them, you deny something they've been through. That's a terrible thing to do to your mate.

I don't like tattoos either, and my boyfriend has some generic, meaningless tribal shit going on in random places. Sometimes I look at them and just laugh because what the fuck is that anyway? A barbed wire celtic knot garbage ring that 5000 other guys probably have and don't know what it is either.

But oh well. I love him, those are his and I accept him totally.

how many is too many? wardrobe size by Cyril Buncocke - Tue, 20 Jan 2015 11:19:47 EST ID:U73K+tjn No.59756 Ignore Report Reply Quick Reply

i'm interested to have a discussion about what everyone considers a minimal amount of clothes or at what point does it become excessive? whether in the retail price or the quantity you own

i used to have a thing for clothes and trainers - ended up having too many (picture from years ago) and thought it was getting a little tastless and unnecessary... have really been trying to cut down and own about 9 pairs now (3 beaters, 3 everyday, 3 premium pairs) and just wear the same pair of jeans everyday and 1 other pair for "nice" occasions

clothing wise i've cut down massively, but considering selling all of my designer stuff - stone island jackets/shirts/jumpers for instance with 3 figure resale prices

my wardrobe would still be fine without it but a part of me likes having the items, even if i'm not nearly as absorbed in buying clothes or caring as much anymore - whats left are the finely curated, absolute "best of, personal favourite" stuff

no need to sell but sometimes i ask why i'm bothering with such expensive clothes, these items will last for life though, i've pretty much settled on a wardrobe that should last me the next 5 years because i gotta save money for other things now that i'm in university

i paid for a lot of these through selling on my used clothes, it's effectively cashing out an ongoing investment - i've been on ebay for several years just recycling my wardrobe and going on ebay shopping sprees with the money

Does anyone know where I can find psychedelic/mod type clothing? Think of all those psych groups with the odd patterns and bright visuals people wore in the late 60s. Where can i find some of that kind of stuff? Going on ebay the only half decent stuff is vintage from the era and goes for like 100+ bucks. And all thrift stores in the area blow.

If you're serious about it and still want cheap, but your local thrift shops suck, drive over to the nearest megacity and check out theirs. Thrift stores, commercial or otherwise, are /the best/ for finding vintage threads. Ragstock is also a good choice if you have any in your area, they have specific areas for this stuff.

Is that what people mean when they say a haircut is choppy?

Any belligerent asshole who is going to fight you over a shirt is probably not really short on excuses for fighting you. Wear it if you like it. Personally I think they're just regular fitted polos and there are more than enough brands to choose from and not having to pay premium to "relive" some scene nostalgia bullshit from 40 years ago.

Aren't the colour of their laces the main thing between bone/skinheads?

From your word choice, I'm guessing you are American? I know your punk scene took a it a lot harder than the UK did, but the skinhead fred perry stuff spawned from the UK i'm sure. Even out here nobody associates Fred Perry with being a skinhead and even if they do, it's been soo heavily reapproriated that it nobody can make a deal out of it.

Doesn't sound likely, wearing blue or red bandana prints is one thing but a brand of polo worn by everyone?

I keep going to get haircuts and I never get the layers I want my hair is always one single lenght on top. What do I do? None of the hair dressers cut layers the way I want them. Is it really that hard or what?

All I want is short hair on the sides and kind of a fringe with those really short layers in it.
